Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a towing equipment for towing a person by a vehicle. The towing equipment comprises a proximal portion intended to be associated with said person, a distal portion intended to be connected to said vehicle, and a junction region interposed between the proximal portion and the distal portion. The proximal portion includes a first flexible branch and a second flexible branch, which are connected to the distal portion at the junction region. A proximal end of said first flexible branch comprises a handle; a proximal end of said second flexible branch is configured to be associated with the waist of said person. The present disclosure further relates to an abdominal belt intended to be used in conjunction with a towing equipment. The present disclosure also relates to a method for towing a person by a vehicle or the like. In particular, the person is a water skier and the vehicle is a motor boat.

Abstract: A body conforming, reusable, washable, textile holder for removably holding at least one electronic device in close bodily contact. The holder may be a wrap or tube constructed to enclose a portion of the body where the electronic device is to be held. The electronic device may be a cellular telephone, a wireless communication device, a personal audio device, a wearable computer, an electronic monitoring device, an electronic identification card, or other electronic device. The invention also relates to a system comprising the body conforming holder and an electronic device for use therewith, and a method for holding such an electronic device in close bodily contact by wearing the holder.

Abstract: Maternity wear of the invention accommodates the changing shape of a woman's body during pregnancy, minimizing the need for maternity clothes. In one aspect of the invention, pants or a skirt are worn with the upper end unfastened so as to conform to the shape of the swelling torso in pregnancy, and an elastic band shaped similarly to a tube top is worn generally around the waist, so as to overlap the top of the unfastened pants or skirt and retain them on the body. A top, such as a blouse or shirt, can be worn with its tail end extending over the band. In another aspect of the invention, too-large maternity clothing is worn with the band garment engaged over the upper end. If desired the band garment can be folded over on itself, thus doubling its thickness.

Abstract: A fetal stimulation device is incorporated into a garment to be worn by a pregnant woman. The garment is preferably formed of an elastic material and includes a torso portion which is arranged around the torso of the woman. An audio device and a pair of speakers are connected with the garment torso portion to deliver sound such as music or words to a fetus. The garment torso portion also includes and elongated massaging element which is arranged around the perimeter of the torso portion to deliver vibrations to the fetus. The sounds and vibrations stimulate the fetus during prenatal development. In addition, massaging and heating elements are provided in the rear of the garment to deliver vibrations and heat to the back of the woman. A layer of radiation proof fabric is provided between the audio device and the woman to prevent radiation from reaching the fetus.

Abstract: A belt extender for installation on a belt with a removable buckle comprising a main body with a first end and a second end, a metal tab fixedly attached to and extending from a first end of the main body of the belt extender, and a longitudinal slot roughly centrally disposed on the main body of the belt extender. The main body folds over itself at a fold line that extends through the center of the longitudinal slot and is secured in place with snap fasteners to create a folded end. A belt buckle comprising a tongue and a frame is installed on the folded end of the belt extender by sliding the frame of the belt buckle over the second end of the belt extender and inserting the tongue through the longitudinal slot prior to folding. The metal tab is inserted into a longitudinal slot on the buckle end of the belt strap and rotated so that the main body of the belt extender is aligned with the belt strap on the buckle end of the belt.

Abstract: A belt is described herein that is configured to partially encircle a torso of a wearer. The belt includes elongate flexible material having a length between a first and a second end, wherein at least a portion of the flexible material is elastic, a first fastening member attached to the first end of the flexible material; a second fastening member attached to the second end of the flexible material; and an adjustment member for adjusting the length of the flexible material, wherein the belt extends less than halfway around the torso of the wearer. Methods for wearing the belt are also described.

Abstract: A support belt for use with body armor is disclosed. The support belt has a central member that includes two oppositely disposed side members and at least one horizontal strap that has a vertical receiving channel. There are at least two support straps configured to releasably interlock with the vertical receiving channel and a plurality of straps secured to an outer surface of the body armor to form a support trough that transfers at least a portion of the weight of the body armor to the waist of the wearer. There is a closure device to secure the side members to each other to secure the belt substantially around the wearer's waist.

Abstract: Weighting garment and orthotics are provided for improving balance. In particular, adjustable balance evaluation systems are used to determine placement of a weight to improve a subject's balance. These evaluation systems may be used to create customized garments for enhancing or improving balance. Described herein are customized garments for enhancing balance. Methods of creating customized garments enhance balance from the adjustable balance evaluation systems. Methods and apparatus further include eyeglasses with weights and testing methods to improve vision.

An electro-conductive yarn (4) defines at least one single course in the structure adjacent non-conductive yarns (2), and is to be part of a circuit providing an indication of an electrical characteristic of the yarn. When unextended in either direction, successive loops of the stitches including the electro-conductive yarn are in engagement. Extension of the structure in the course direction separate loops forming the stitches, and extension in the wale direction urges the loops together. The structure can be used in methods of registering extension of the structure in either or both of the course and wale directions.

Abstract: A strap-type watch band construction is fabricated from a blank. The blank includes three sections. A first section is folded over forming a double layer portion that is stitched and secures a buckle and a keeper and supports a watch casing, which is preferably slidably supported thereon. Abstract: A process of manufacturing a belt wherein a plurality of strips of a first material are sewn together to create an outer member having a desired length with a plurality of vertical seams. A layer of a second material is placed over the seams and sewn thereto create a plurality of vertical slots. After staves are inserted in the slots, a layer of a resilient material is placed over the second material and a layer of perforated material is placed over the resilient material. A strip of material is placed on the peripheral surface of the inner and outer members and sewn to define the belt. First and second fasteners on the first and second side sections joined together to apply a force through the staves to provide support for an underlying area of the torso of an individual to assist in attaining a desired posture.
