Abstract: A device and method used with a woman's garment, including a brassiere. The device comprises a ring member having a first segment and a second segment, a front side and a back side, and wherein the ring member has a mid-way point between the first and second segment. The device further comprises a first prong extending from the first end of the ring member, with the first prong having a length terminating at a distance less than the mid-way point of the ring member, and a second prong extending from the second end of the ring member, with the second prong having a length terminating at a distance less than the mid-way point of the ring member. In the most preferred embodiment, the center portion allows for passage of the right shoulder strap and the left shoulder.

Abstract: A stirrup for securing the end of a pant leg to the foot of a wearer. The stirrup has a base web and at least three arms projecting therefrom. Each arm has a fastener such as alligator jaws style, for engaging the pant leg at at least three points about its circumference, to avoid bunching. The base member may comprise an elastic fabric and may include a length adjusting mechanism. Alligator jaw fasteners may instead comprise buttons, hooks, hook and loop material, or snaps. The stirrup may be made from denim, leather, cotton, satin, lace, or nylon. The base web may optionally form a sock.

Abstract: A device for attachment together of first and second garments is disclosed. The device comprises a retaining portion for receiving the first garment, and fixing attachment means thereto, the attachment means comprising a pair of opposing contact regions biased towards mutual contact, which contact regions are configured to grip opposing surfaces of the second garment to attach the attachment means thereto.

Abstract: A fishing belt buckle (1) having a body (2) with a front face (3), a rear face (4), a top face (5) and a bottom face (6), at least one recess (7) extending from the front face (3) into the body (2), at least one pin (13) located on and extending from the rear face (4) and an aperture (16) for attaching the body (2) to a belt (17). The recess (7) may include at least one vertical rod (12) and/or at least one horizontal rod (11) extending across the recess (7). To use the present invention, a person first attaches the fishing belt buckle (1) to a belt (17). Then, he or she wraps the belt (17) around his or her waist and positions the fishing belt buckle (2) as desired. The pin (13) is inserted into a belt hole (18) so as to secure the fishing belt buckle (2) and belt (17) around the user's waist.

Abstract: An adjustable locking arrangement for a brassiere having two brassiere cups comprise two elongated straps, each of which has a free sliding end portion and an affixing end portion, a locking fastener, comprising a fastening body having two side opening and a center window, and two locker members slidably mounted on the fastening body at the center window, wherein the elongated straps are overlappedly tucked to form two locking loops to slidably engage with the fastening body through the side openings respectively for wrapping up two locker members. Therefore, once the two sliding end portions of the elongated straps are pulled opposedly, the two locker members are capable of defining a distance between the two brassiere cups, and when the affixing end portions of the elongated straps are pulled opposedly, two locker members are capable of locking up the distance.

Abstract: A lengthways stretchable elastic band having two edges is provided. The elastic band comprises a plurality of longitudinal elastic yarn segments and at least one elastic thread area, which extends to the two edges of the elastic band. The plurality of longitudinal elastic yarn segments are made of elastic yarns and the elastic thread area is made of elastic threads. The elastic band is formed by connecting the plurality of longitudinal elastic yarn segments together using the elastic thread area. The elastic thread area connects the plurality of longitudinal yarn segments by tying the ends of the elastic threads to the ends of the elastic yarns. As such, when the elastic band is under a force, it can be expanded both lengthways and sideways, thereby obtaining multi-directional extensibility.

The rear end of each arch is located so it fastens to the belt at or before the hips of the user during use. Two first fasteners are connected to each of the arches adjacent a top of the arch. The garment has two second fasteners connected to a waistband of the garment. The second fasteners are located to releasably engage the first fasteners to fasten the arch to the garment so the arches hold the waistline of the garment above the belt. The garment covers the belt and arches. The garment is optionally connected to the belt by a third fastener located between the arches, along the user's back.

Abstract: A belt for weight reduction having a buckle that fits over the abdomen and stomach, the buckle having one or more air bladders with pressure sensors, an air pump, and a massager. The air bladders are maintained at a constant pressure as signals from the pressure sensors activate the air pump to fill or deflate the air bladder. The constant pressure applied chronically to the abdomen reduces hunger and food intake to produce weight loss. Activation of the massager helps to further control hunger between meals.

Abstract: A belt buckle has a main body of any desired shape with a rear surface having a belt holding loop and a tang and a front surface with a spinning element rotatably held on a pin in a recess formed in the main body. The main body has indicia held on a surface whereby when the spinning element is spun it will stop and point to one of the indicia. A coordinated belt may be attached to the rear surface of the main body and may have a number of openings formed in rows along its length to allow one or more pegs to be selectively moved along the belt to indicate the results of a game played by spinning the spinning element in the belt buckle.

Abstract: A brassiere strap clasp is used to hold either a cloth strap or a bead strap. The brassiere strap clasp has a body and a clamp. The clamp is pivotally attached to the body and has multiple teeth that extend toward the body. The cloth straps and the bead straps can pass through the brassiere strap clasp and are held by the teeth on the clamp. Also, the brassiere strap clasp can be used to adjust the length of the strap.

The napkin holder may be supplied with at least one napkin to be used with it in a package designed to provide an immediately usable combination product.

The the system for repairing a brassiere includes at least one connecting ring assembly for coupling a shoulder strap to a main portion of a brassiere, and at least one length adjusting assembly positionable on the shoulder strap and couplable to an end of the strap. The length adjusting assembly facilitates slidably adjusting a net length of a shoulder strap.

Abstract: A front closure for a brassiere which is invisible in the connected state of the front flaps of the brassiere has two closure halves each with a semielliptical plate and one with an annular formation and the other with a lug snap fitted into the annular formation. Outwardly of the annular formation and the lug, the plates form sewing flanges which can be stitched through to attach fastener halves to the brassiere halves, e.g. with a zigzag stitching.

Abstract: A concealed lower body garment support belt worn under a lower body garment includes a raised lip on which the lower body garment is supported. The lip is formed from a loop in a length of fabric and is filled by filler material that is adequately flexible to conform to the shape of the user's waistline and rigid to resist flattening. The belt is worn by the user immediately adjacent to his skin or undergarments. A high friction surface and adjustable fastening means allow a snug fit to be obtained around the waistline to prevent slippage of the belt down the user's stomach. The belt is worn and maintained around the user's waistline so that the waistband of his lower body garment, supported on the raised lip of the belt, is maintained around the user's waistline. An exterior belt worn by a user cooperates with the concealed belt by cinching and gathering the waistband of the lower body garment over the raised lip of the concealed belt.

Abstract: A system for repairing a brassiere for replacing broken brassiere buckles and attachment rings. The system includes a connector member for removably coupling the shoulder strap to the front portion of the brassiere. The connector member defines an interior for removably receiving a portion of the shoulder strap and a portion of the front portion. The connector member includes a base portion having a base side adjacent the interior of the connector member, and a pair of arm portions extending from the base section such that the interior of the connector member is defined by the base portion and the pair of arm portions. The connector member also includes a pair of constrictor portions, each of the constrictor portions being mounted on one of the arm portions. The constrictor portions extend generally toward each other. Each of the constrictor portions has opposite ends, with one of the ends of each of the constrictor portions forming a constricted gap therebetween.

Abstract: Suspenders for suspending trousers. The suspenders include straps and hooks generally fixed at ends of the straps. At least one of the hooks has a strap-hold at a first end thereof for engaging at least one of the straps and a hook portion at a second end thereof for engaging at least one loop on the trousers. The strap-hold has a longitudinal axis and the hook portion extends in a direction which is generally parallel to the longitudinal axis of the strap-hold. The hook portion is configured to generally facilitate hooking of the hook portion on the at least one loop on the trousers.

Abstract: A novel "method" whereby an infant's over-sized pant legs, that may extend below the infant's feet, are secured above the bottom of the infant's feet to facilitate walking development.

Abstract: Suspenders and methods of using them have general-purpose properties necessitating no special processing as long as normal type trousers with belt loops are concerned, and realize quick, certain and easy fastening and undoing, and also successive application without damaging the trousers. The suspenders comprise hooks fixed at the free ends of straps in the suspenders. The method of using them comprises the step of engaging the hooks with appropriate loops selected from among the loops of trousers respectively.

Abstract: A sports belt, particularly a baseball belt, which includes from one end to the other a buckle, a buckle tab portion, a loop, an elongated belt mid-portion which is preferably adjustable and a tail tab portion. The tail tab portion and the buckle tab portion are each constructed from a single piece of injection molded synthetic polymeric/copolymeric plastic material. The tail tab portion is injection molded with a slot between two connecting tabs into which is slid a terminal end of the mid-portion of the belt which is stitched and/or adhesively bonded thereto. The buckle tab portion is defined by central and opposite end portions with intermediate portions of lesser thickness therebetween about which the buckle tab portion can be folded to unite thereto a buckle and a looped portion of the elastic belt mid-portion.

Abstract: A gripping apparatus, and more specifically a gripping apparatus that can be used with a shirttail retaining harness to grip garments and secure them in place without damaging the garments. The gripping apparatus 30 comprises an upper member 34 having a substantially flat, elastic upper surface 32 and a lower member 38 having a substantially non-flat, rigid lower surface 36. When the gripping apparatus is in a closed position to grip a garment, the lower member 38 is urged into contact with the upper member 34, such that the lower surface 36 elastically deforms the upper surface 32.

Abstract: A device for supporting a train of a bridal gown having a hoop member with an interior area having a bar extending thereacross so as to define a first train receiving area and a second train receiving area within the hoop member and a clip connected to the hoop member so as to allow the hoop member to be affixed to a back side of the bridal gown. The bar extends generally horizontally across an interior area of the hoop member. The first train receiving area has a size and shape matching the second train receiving area. The clip member has a surface affixed to the back side of the hoop member. The hoop member is formed of a rigid material which is covered with a fibrous material.

Abstract: A locking apparatus for a cord comprises a sleeve member having a first axial end, a second axial end and a tubular surface therebetween. The first axial end is closed by a disc-shaped member having a first diameter. The tubular surface has an outer surface having a second diameter. The second axial end has a flange-shaped rim portion having a third diameter. The first diameter and the third diameter are greater than the second diameter. The disc-shaped member has an outer surface that is knurled. A plug shaped member is slidably received in the sleeve member. The plug-shaped member has a first axial end disposed with the sleeve member and a second axial end being disposed axially outside of sleeve member. The second axial end has a knurled surface.

Abstract: A gathering clip for bridal and other gown trains, capes, and other trailing components of formal wear, is removably securable to the inside structure of the garment along a back central seam allowance therein, thus being completely hidden from view when installed. The clip generally comprises a first and a second link, each of which includes a pin which is used to penetrate the hidden hem or seam allowance which is formed within the back of the gown when the left and right rear panels of the gown and train are constructed. The two links may be removably secured respectively to the back hem of the gown beneath the waistband, and to the underside of the train at some point along the central portion thereof or as desired, and retained by buttons which are snapped over the ends of the pins.

Abstract: A buckle which includes a first member having a nipple around which a second member can rotate in the plane of the buckle. The buckle can advantageously be used to couple a back supporting belt to a shoulder strap of a pair of suspenders or the like. The rotational movement of one buckle member with respect to the other buckle member in the plane of the buckle facilitates adjustment of the shoulder straps to accommodate the various shoulder widths of different wearers. The first and second buckle members are adapted to breakaway or decouple when the buckle is subjected to a load or force greater than a predetermined level.

Abstract: An adjustable elastic system supports a body encircling band or the belt of a lower body garment from an upper body garment, using multiple straps removably and adjustably attached by means of loop material-hook material couples to the inside lining of the upper garment. The lower end of each elastic strap includes a hitch which is slipped under the belt by means of an integral tab.

Abstract: Disclosed is a clip-on garter for retaining a sock fully upright while being worn within a boot whereby preventing sliding of the sock into the boot cavity caused by movement of a user's foot relative the boot. The clip-on garter comprises a boot clip member clampedly attachable to the boot at the top edge of the leg opening. The boot clip member is formed of an elongated strip of resilient plastic or metal folded back against itself to form an inverted U-shaped structure having generally parallel inside and outside tension arms. The two arm ends define a clamping zone therebetween wherebetween the edge of the boot opening may be retained. A strip of pile fabric material is disposed on the inside arm such that the sock fabric engages with the pile fabric material whereby the top edge of the sock is retained adjacent the top edge of the boot leg opening for preventing the sock from sliding down into the boot cavity.

Also, a first cloth loop having a U-shaped configuration is secured to the right body portion of the upper uniform component. A first hook strap has a first end that is secured to the left lapel of the left body portion of the upper uniform component. A second end has a first pile fastener and a second pile fastener thereon. The first hook strap serves to cooperate with the first cloth loop to keep the uniform closed around a user. Also, a second cloth loop having a U-shaped configuration is secured to the left body portion of the upper uniform component. A second hook strap first end is secured to the right lapel of the right body portion of the upper uniform component. A second end has a first pile fastener and a second pile fastener thereon.

Abstract: A pair of suspenders and a belt for use in securing firefighter's pants are manufactured of an inelastic material to prevent the firefighter's pants from sagging. In conventional suspenders, the elastic nature of previous designs tended to lose their strength over the course of time and cause a potentially hazardous and uncomfortable situation in which the firefighter's pants no longer hung at the desired place.

Abstract: A belt buckle has a storage space dimensioned to receive a condom. There is a cover for the storage space, and a latch which releasibly engages the cover over the storage space. The latch is releasible only when the belt buckle is unbuckled. The cover may be hingedly connected to the body and may have a boss which passes through an aperture in the body to engage an aperture in the belt when the belt buckle is buckled.

Abstract: A rib protector is disclosed for protecting a player's torso while playing athletic events, such as football. The rib protector includes an pad having an inner surface and an outer surface opposite the inner surface. A flexible belt is attached to the outer surface of the pad for securing the pad around the player's torso in a position in which the inner surface of the pad is adjacent the torso. A plurality of removable plates are attached to the belt for covering portions of the outer surface of the pad. The plates are constructed for receiving the impact of blows delivered to the rib protector and distributing the impact force to the pad. The plates are separate from one another and individually removable from the belt whereby a player using the rib protector may attach a selected number of plates to the belt.

Abstract: An apparatus for releasably securing an opening of a garment is described. The apparatus includes a drawstring, a casing with a window, and a cord lock. The casing has an inner tunnel and encloses the opening. The drawstring runs through the tunnel of the casing. The drawstring extends out of the casing at the window. The cord lock is located at the window inside the casing for locking the drawstring from moving into the casing when the cord lock is in a locking state, and for releasing the drawstring to move freely when the cord lock is in a releasing state. As the drawstring is tightened when the cord lock is in the locking state, the cord lock is prevented from travelling with the drawstring thereby allowing the drawstring to slide through the cord lock.

Abstract: A shirttail retaining harness (10) is disclosed comprising a pair of elongate straps (12, 14), a means for connecting the straps to a garment (18) and, a connecting member (16) which retains a portion of the straps in spaced relation. The connecting member (16) is located away from the crotch and genital area of a wearer. The shirttail retaining harness (10) is adapted so that, in use, the straps (12, 14) thereof pass along the inside of the thighs of the wearer in the crotch area and diverge at both ends for attachment to a shirttail. An optional clasp (19) is also provided wherein the shirttail cloth is gripped between a protruding member (18e) and a layer of resilient material (18f).

Abstract: A convertible fur piece is disclosed which consists of an elongated strip of fur having hook and loop connecting strips secured to its opposed longitudinal edges which enable the strip of fur to be folded in half with its edges secured together to form an elongated hollow tube which receives a shoulder bag strap, or the like, to form a decorative element for the shoulder bag strap and a protective guard to reduce wear resulting from rubbing of the shoulder bag strap against the fur coat. Additionally, the ends of the fur strip have additional hook and loop connecting strips respectively secured thereto enable the fur strip to also serve as a head band.

Abstract: A combination suspenders for use with button and buttonless trousers includes interchangeable clip ends and button strap ends connected to the suspender straps via a clip carrier. The clip carrier is formed of a horizontally folded flexible material forming a channel which engages a button strap end or a connector on the clip end having a pair of horizontally extending opposed arms. In one embodiment, the clip connector is T-shaped with outwardly extending arms and engages the channel via a slit which vertically bisects the channel into opposed halves. In another embodiment, the clip connector is C-shaped and engages the channel from the outside with inwardly extending arms.

The finished belt buckle includes an unfinished coextruded molded plastic buckle having a thick flexible plastic front layer of light color and a relatively thin rigid plastic back layer of relatively dark color, and a fiom of finish disposed on the exposed surface of the buckle front layer. The finished belt has in combination the finished belt strap and the finished belt buckle with the light colors being the same, the dark colors being the same, and the finish colors being the same.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a wedding grown train hoop that is provided with a wrist strap that enables the bride or dress wearer to carry and support the hoop about the wrist. In particular, the wedding train hoop of the present invention entails a hoop having first and second ends connected together by a friction pin or screw. A decorative sock is disposed about the hoop and includes a wrist section that is formed at the juncture of the first and second ends of the hoop and extends from the hoop to form a wrist strap or loop.

Abstract: An article to hold the bottom of trouser or pants legs in place to allow for ease of insertion in a sock, boot or the like. The article includes an open ended garter band including a longitudinally stretchable portion, a generally U-shaped longitudinally stretchable stirrup depending from the garter band and mating fuzz and hook members of the VELCRO fastener type on opposite faces of the free end portions of the garter band. The stirrup is looped around the arch of the foot and the garter band is wrapped around the pants leg above its bottom edge and adjacent the ankle where the free end portions are pressed together to close the ankle garter band whereby the fuzz and hook members engage. The garter can be opened by pulling the overlapped ends apart.
