Abstract: Disclosed is a handle for an electronic device that consists of a ring mounted on a hinge that slides over a user's finger to aid in holding the electronic device. The hinge allows the handle to either be stored in a recessed area of the exterior face of the electronic device when not in use, or rotated perpendicular to the exterior face of the electronic device when in use. The handle also features standardized contact patches that mate with clips that can be used to mount the electronic device on a vehicle dashboard or similar. The handle can be integrated into the electronic device itself, or into a separate, protective case placed around the electronic device.

The second electrical connector is electrically connected to the first electrical connector when the first electronic device is connected to the magnetic pivot member.

Abstract: A case for protecting a portable electronic device includes a first member, a second member, and a flexible hinge member. The first member is removably attachable to a first portion of the portable electronic device for covering an outer surface of the first portion of the portable electronic device while not covering a display screen area of the portable electronic device. The second member of the case is removably attachable to a second portion of the portable electronic device for covering the outer surface of the second portion of the portable electronic device while not covering the display. The flexible hinge member is in proximity to a hinging portion of the portable electronic device when the case is attached. The flexible hinge member permits articulation of the portable electronic device when the case is attached to the portable electronic device due to flexing of a flexible material.

Abstract: A portable gaming and entertainment system (or “environment”) for use with a game console and related components that allows the user thereof to easily, safely and conveniently transport the system. The system comprises a case having a lid pivotally attached to a base. One or more custom inserts are provided to securely receive the game console therein. The custom inserts permit the system to be usable with a variety of supported game consoles. The lid includes a monitor and speakers, and is operative to be opened and maintained at a position to provide a desirable viewing angle for a user. The lid closes against the base to enclose the game console and other related components so that the user may easily transport and/or store the system.

The case can include a bottom wall and side walls that cooperate to define a cavity having a size and shape suitable for accommodating the portable electronic device. The side walls can include an edge that defines an opening that leads to the cavity and that allows passage of the portable electronic device into the cavity. At least one of the side walls has a protrusion that extends at an angle into the cavity, and where the protrusion (i) allows insertion of the portable electronic device through the opening and into the cavity, and (ii) hinders movements of the portable electronic device out of the cavity.

Abstract: A cover for use with a firearm holster uses a main panel with an upper pocket that has a first opening and a lower pocket that has a second opening facing toward the first opening. Optional side pockets are located on either side of the main panel, the side pockets having openings that face each other. The cover is made from an appropriate elasticized material or materials. The cover is positioned so that the upper pocket is positioned over the exposed handle end of a firearm and an upper portion of the holster with the main panel acting as a cushion between the firearm holding holster and a user. In all embodiments, covers and cases use an encapsulated bio-based compostable resin composite fused with external layers of organic carbon neutral reclaimed industrial fiber, this composite provides an inkjet receptive sheet that may be fed through any printer for consumer customization. These composites in sheet or roll form may be scored, laser cut and micro-cut for all flat electronic devices to facilitate folding into a 3D form. Once printed, consumers may fold the 2D composite sheet, attach pre-cut layered adhesives, nano suction attachment pads and attachment clear plates for device placement on the interchangeable covers or cases. Nano rubber polymer suction pads provide locking cover attachment, attachment of the electronic device to other surfaces and enable angled viewing when the covers are folded in a stand configuration.

A main water resistant seal is formed around a perimeter of the front and back assemblies by the elastomeric main seal on the front assembly being held against an inner surface of the rigid back frame.

Abstract: A protective case for a mobile device having a retractable home button protective cover is disclosed. The home button cover is configured to allow the user to reversibly cover and uncover the home button of the mobile electronic device by moving the home button cover from a fully open position to a fully closed position. When in the closed position, the home button cover physically protects or isolates the home button from user interaction. A child-proof locking mechanism is provided to secure and lock the home button in the closed position. In one implementation, the protective case is configured to have a front portion that includes the retractable home button cover and a back portion to which the front portion is reversibly secured. The front portion is configured to retain the mobile device for insertion into the back portion. Various aspects of the construction and implementation of the protective case and the home button mechanism and its use are disclosed.

The second housing includes a groove portion where the flexible base material can partly slide. Part of the flexible base material is inserted into the groove portion in the open position. The part of the flexible base material which is inserted into the groove portion is at least partly withdrawn in a deformation into the folded position.

Abstract: Systems and methods for addressing an inadvertent decrease in transmission energy/power due to triggering a proximity sensor by a cover disposed on a computing device. In an embodiment, a cover sensor may be incorporated into the device. The cover sensor may be used to detect the presence of a cover on the device, as well as whether the cover is in an open or closed position. The output of the cover sensor may then be used to adjust a trigger/proximity threshold of the proximity sensor to account for the presence and position of the cover on the device. In this manner the device may avoid unnecessary power backoff caused by proximity of the cover, rather than proximity of the user. This improves the over the air (OTA) performance of the device, as well as the user experience.
