Abstract: A device for installing curtain gliders is revealed. The device for installing curtain gliders is a positioning strip. A plurality of gliders are arranged at the positioning strip and then carried and mounted into a curtain track by the positioning strip. The positioning strip is provided with a plurality of mounting and positioning units each of which includes a main hole, two slots disposed on two ends of the main hole, and two locking pieces located between the two slots and the main hole. Thereby the glider with different designs can be inserted into the main hole and the locking pieces are abutting against the glider for positioning the glider. Installers can assemble the gliders quickly and conveniently by count marks on the positioning strip.

Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to devices and methods for furniture protection. More particularly, the present disclosure relates to foam-film sheets configured to protect furniture from damage. An exemplary foam-film sheet as disclosed herein includes a sheet of foam material having a first lateral edge and a second lateral edge; a sheet of film material having a first lateral edge and a second lateral edge; a first seal between a portion of the foam material proximate its first lateral edge and a portion of the film material proximate its first lateral edge; and a second seal between a portion of the foam material proximate its second lateral edge and a portion of the film material proximate its second lateral edge, wherein the film and foam are substantially unsealed along the entire transverse width between the first and second sealed portions near the lateral edges of the foam material.

The front panel extends from the back panel and defines a region to rest upon a corner portion of a frame. The inside panel extends from the front panel and includes an inside panel tab slot. The back panel, the front panel, and the inside panel are arranged with one another to fold about the corner portion of the frame and for the inside panel to extend through a frame opening such that the corner portion of the frame is covered by at least one of the back panel and the front panel. The inside panel tab is received within the inside panel tab slot to secure the back panel to the inside panel without an additional fastener.

Abstract: A flat packed furniture system includes a plurality of boxes, each comprising a packaging piece and a set of furniture parts, such that the set of furniture parts is flat packed inside the packaging piece, such that a plurality of parts in the plurality of boxes is configured to be assemblable as a furniture item, which can be a cabinet, such that a plurality of packaging pieces in the plurality of boxes is configured to be reused as packaging for the furniture item. Also disclosed is a method for flat packing furniture, including flat packing, shipping, unpacking, assembling, repacking, and reshipping.

Abstract: An assembly of stacked mattresses and a method for preparing such an assembly are provided. The assembly of stacked mattresses comprises a first pallet, a second pallet, a plurality of mattresses positioned between the first pallet and the second pallet and straps coupling the first pallet to the second pallet, the plurality of mattresses being in a compressed state between the first pallet and the second pallet and the straps restraining expansion of the plurality of mattresses. The second pallet is comprised of a supporting member and a plurality of elongated reinforcing members extending across the supporting member, at least some of the reinforcing members including respective strap guiding members extending longitudinally along the elongated reinforcing member. At least some of the straps engage respective ones of the strap guiding members of the plurality of elongated reinforcing member of the second pallet so that displacement of the straps is constrained by the strap guiding members.

Abstract: This invention is directed towards the packaging of heavy articles such as floor jacks and similar equipment. The package is adapted to allow a heavy article to be rolled out of the package without lifting. The packaging is designed to engage with temporary handles positioned on the packaged article to make it easier for an end user to maneuver the packaged article and to remove the article from the packaging.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a foldable bed. A first side rail and a second side rail have an end detachably connected to a headboard and an opposite end detachably connected to a footboard. A bed slat support is arranged between the first side rail and the second side rail. The headboard includes a receiving compartment formed therein. The first side rail and the second side rail each include at least two side rail units and the side rail units are connected to each other by a couple. In dismantling, the side rail units, the footboard, the bed slats, and the bed slat support are receivable and positioned in the receiving compartment. The present invention saves transportation space, reduces transportation cost, and provides a better way of weight carrying.

Abstract: An overpack salvage drum including a drum body for holding a package to be overpacked, a lid adapted to be rotatably threaded onto the drum body to seal the package held in the drum body therein, and a clip adapted to be operatively associated with the lid before the lid is rotatably threaded onto the drum body. The clip is adapted to break in preference to the lid and the drum body in the event that the initial integrity of the seal between the lid and the drum body is compromised.

Abstract: A mattress package having a barrier layer which encapsulates the entire mattress, two skid pads which cover and protect the top and bottom portion of the mattress, and two side trays which cover and protect the left and right sides of the mattress. The side trays cover a portion of the skid pads and the entire assembly is banded by two or more securing bands. Two or more handles are positioned on the front and back surfaces of the side trays on both the left and right sides. The handles provide grips for the mattress package to facilitate handling. The mattress package provides sufficient strength and protection to the mattress while utilizing a minimal amount of packaging materials.

The curtain rod end may include a part, such as a finial, with an exterior surface having a contour. The first opening has a shape substantially corresponding to that contour. A method of cutting a window covering comprises providing a window covering in a box as described above and positioning the box with the exposed portion of the window covering facing down and the exposed portion of the head rail facing a clamp. Methods of packaging a window covering comprise reducing the total number of loops in the window covering, and positioning inserts between adjacent components.

Abstract: The hardware for mounting the blinds is located in the head rail such that it does not interfere with the cutting operation but remains with the blind after the blind is cut-to-size. The hardware overlaps with a blind component and the hardware may include a mounting bracket that includes a notch for receiving the blind component. The ends of the blinds are aligned in a package by the manufacturer during the packaging process. The blinds are secured in the package such that the blind elements are properly aligned. The aligned blinds and the package are inserted into a cutting machine as a unit and the cutting machine cuts the blinds and the package simultaneously.

One or more seat assemblies, such as stools, are horizontally movable between a use position on the ground and at least a portion of each seat is movable beyond the edge of the tabletop. Each seat assembly includes a seat support frame having two flat vertical walls joined by one arcuate wall, enclosing a hollow storage chamber therebetween; wherein the vertical walls are constructed to rest adjacent to the table pedestal in a storage position of non-use.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a moving device in the form of a bag having an aperture allowing furniture to be placed therein, a closure for the aperture (such as a “hook and loop” fastener, buttons, a zipper, or other suitable device), and at least one tensioning strap to tighten the bag around the furniture. The bag can be made of a flexible and/or waterproof material, and can include additional padding. In some embodiments, the bag can be shaped as a prism, but can also take other shapes. The tensioning strap(s) can extend partially or entirely around the bag, and can be fastened using a hook and loop fastener, bucket or other suitable device. In some embodiments, at least one longitudinal tensioning strap and at least one lateral tensioning strap are provided. The bag can also include one or more handles, one or more transparent viewing windows, and a document pouch.

After compression of the stack including the wooden frames, bands are tightly wrapped around the compressed stack. Loops of wire are then inserted through the stack and wrapped about at least one cross element of the frame on each side of the stack. Each loop of wire is pulled taut and its opposite ends connected together so as to prevent the center portion of the stack from ballooning outwardly after removal of compression forces on the rigid frames.

Abstract: A mattress package with a full perimeter protection and handling piece combines a barrier layer which encapsulates a mattress with a perimeter piece attached about a perimeter of the mattress proximate to the border of the mattress and preferably extending over the adjacent major surfaces of the mattress over the barrier layer. The perimeter piece provides increased strength and protection to the package about the entire perimeter of the mattress, and provides a grip for handling of the mattress which evenly distributes stresses on the package to prevent breach or failure of the package. The perimeter piece can be positioned underneath or on top of a barrier layer.

Abstract: A reusable packaging system is disclosed in which a series of thermoformed trays are used to mount six spider type office chair bases. Three bases are mounted in an inverted position on the tray and three bases are mounted upright. A stack of load trays may be constructed with the bottom-most tray fastened to a standard pallet. The stack is plastic wrapped and shipped. After unloading, empty trays may be stacked in a nested arrangement and returned for reuse making for a simple, reliable and inexpensive system.

Abstract: The invention provides a reusable apparatus for shipping seating units. The apparatus comprises first and second seat holding members. The first seat holding member includes a first base portion and a first back portion. The second seat holding member includes a second base portion and a second back portion. The first back portion is rotatably attached to the second base portion. A first seating unit secured to the first base portion and a second seating unit secured to the second base portion may be rotated such that the seating units are inverted with respect to each other and the first base portion is adjacent the second back portion.

A first seating unit secured to the first base portion and a second seating unit secured to the second base portion may be rotated such that the seating units are inverted with respect to each other and the first base portion is adjacent the second back portion.
