Abstract: A package body includes a porous metal body having an elongated sheet shape, a core member having a cylindrical shape, a protective sheet, and a resin film. The porous metal body is wound around the core member. The protective sheet is wound around the wound porous metal body to cover an outer surface of the wound porous metal body. The protective sheet and the porous metal body are covered with the resin film. The core member is made of paper or a resin.

Abstract: A bathroom wipe dispenser dispenses both toilet paper and wet wipes. The dispenser has a tube that receives an ordinary toilet paper spindle and, consequently, the dispenser may be hung from a majority of the toilet paper dispensers in residential use today. The tube also fits within an ordinary roll of toilet paper. An arm hangs down from one side of the tube. The arm supports a wet wipe dispenser hanging beneath the arm. The wet wipe dispenser carries a package of wet wipes and has a bottom opening that provides access as wet wipes are dispensed from the package.

Abstract: A rolled graphite sheet includes a rod-shaped body and a graphite sheet having a length of 1 m or more and a width shorter than the length. The graphite sheet is wound around the rod-shaped body and is rolled in a length direction. When a length direction-end of the graphite sheet is pulled with a force of 1.5 N/cm in a direction parallel to a tangent of a cross-sectional circle of the rolled graphite sheet while fixing the rod-shaped body, the end moves 5 mm or less in the direction parallel to the tangent of the circle.

Abstract: A container for holding invisible elastic bands therein is described. The container includes two opposing walls with a cavity therebetween. A series of raised ridges are formed on the opposing side walls. The raised ridges are formed parallel with one another along each of the opposing walls, thereby allowing a user to insert a sheet within the container such that the invisible elastic bands reside safely between adjacent raised ridges. The container is shaped as an envelope with an unblocked opening and is sized to easily fit within a magician's pocket. Due to its size and shape, the magician can easily retrieve invisible elastic bands during a performance.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a cable packaging for medical devices that is provided with a perforated line and having heat shrinkage characteristic. With a capable packaging for medical devices to wrap around a cable that is configured to connect two or more apparatuses to each other, the cable packaging is formed of material that is shrunken by heat so as to come into close contact with the cable, and the cable packaging includes a perforated line so as to be separated from the cable. By forming the packaging using heat shrinkage material, a packaging volume is reduced, and by fixing the packaging so as to come into close contact with the cable, the durability of a connecting portion is improved.

Abstract: A secondary dispenser readily attachable to a standard toilet-tissue dispenser of a roll type for positioning next to the primary toilet-tissue dispenser for dispensing supplemental materials such as pre-wetted toilet sheets. The sheets can be withdrawn from an open door. A compact auxiliary device providing wetted or self-wetting sheets for releasable proximate mounting in conjunction with a conventional toilet-tissue dispenser of dry sheets; comprises an inexpensive container or magazine component pre-loaded with the supplemental sheets. The magazine can be snapped into functional position rapidly. It serves an improved health care and cleanliness function.

Abstract: The present invention is a system for dispensing horizontally stacked moist towelettes. One embodiment involves turning a tub upside down and providing a side door for accessing the stacked towels. Another embodiment involves orienting a tub in an upright position and providing a means for users to easily access the contents. Moist towelettes are dispensed one at a time, from beginning to end. Once one towelette is removed, the next is in position for removal. Any towelette that falls back into the tub can be easily retrieved through the opening without having to open the entire package.

Abstract: A glass roll includes a glass film formed by a downdraw method. The glass film is wound into a roll using a winding roller in a state in which front and back glass surfaces of the glass film formed in the forming operation are exposed, and during the winding operation, the glass film is superposed on a separable protective sheet. The protective sheet extends beyond both sides in a width direction of the glass film. The protective sheet can further be wound on an outer peripheral surface of the glass film by winding only the protective sheet from a trailing end of the glass film in a winding direction of the glass film.

Abstract: A towel is formed by hydro-entanglement of an isotropic web formed of predominantly rayon. The towel comprises a surface texture formed during hydroentangling. The towel is compacted into a cake or disk shape for distribution. The cake or disk shape can expand when exposed to moisture such that the towel recovers to substantially the original dimensions and texture.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed, in part, to a method of transporting products. The method comprises providing a V-shaped conveying mechanism and positioning a plurality of the products on the V-shaped conveying mechanism such that a first portion of the plurality of the products engages a first side of the V-shaped conveying mechanism, and such that a second portion of the plurality of the products engages a second side of the V-shaped conveying mechanism.

Abstract: A transport housing for a coil or a coil block, having an upper and a lower pressing plate, wherein the coil or the coil block is arranged between the two pressing plates and the latter can be braced against each other by a plurality of tension rods in the manner of an axial tension configuration. A frame enclosing the coil or the coil block to which a membrane, movable both toward the inner chamber of the transport housing and toward the outside, is fastened and having an outer housing which provides mechanical protection for the membrane and enables unhindered or allows movement of the membrane to the outside.

Abstract: In certain embodiments, a welding wire and container assembly includes a container having an interior volume; a coil of welding wire disposed in the interior volume; and a wire container cover. The wire container cover may include a top surface having an opening therethrough to enable welding wire to pass through the wire container cover when the wire container cover is disposed on the container. The assembly also may include a skirt askew to the top surface, wherein the skirt is adapted to produce friction between the skirt and a side of the container when the wire container cover is disposed on the container housing and wherein the skirt is non-locking with respect to the container.

Abstract: A meat storage device comprising a cylindrical food-grade plastic tube, a paper, wax-coated paper or plastic sheets, and a sealable plastic bag is presented. Additionally, a method of storing meat products such as bacon composing rolling meat strips around a cylindrical food-grade plastic tube with successive layers being sandwiched between a paper; wax-coated paper or plastic sheet is presented.

Abstract: A wrapper for wrapping on a roll of length L having two opposed roll ends is described. The wrapper comprises an interior layer of a length Wi and of an interior layer basis weight, adapted to be adjacent the roll when the wrapper is wrapped on the roll; an exterior layer of a length We longer than the length Wi of the interior layer forming at least one end strip of width S and of an exterior layer basis weight, adapted to be outside of the roll when the wrapper is wrapped on the roll. The interior layer basis weight is different from the exterior layer basis weight. The end strip of the exterior layer is adapted to be folded on a corresponding one of the roll ends during crimping following wrapping of the wrapper on the roll.

Abstract: A flat roll gift wrap package has an elongated form with planar opposed sides and convex arcuate transitions between the sides. Flexible material in sheet form, such as, for example, paper or plastic, can be wound about the form without formation of creases or folds at the arcuate transitions. Printed patterns applied to the flexible material in sheet form are visible in full or repeated one or more times on the material which extends over the planar opposed sides of the form. Multiple flat roll gift wrap packages are combined in display packages or envelopes, poly bags or boxes and stacked on the planar sides of the flat rolls or with the arcuate transitions of the flat rolls arranged side-by-side. Retail displays of flat roll gift wrap products include flat rolls of gift wrap sheet material contained in envelopes which are suspended or otherwise held in a generally vertical orientation upon a retail displays.

Abstract: A product, such as a roll of paper toweling, is wrapped in a polymeric film wrapper having a high degree of molecular orientation. The wrapper is provided with a small perforated starter tab, which a user can depress with their fingers or thumb to break the perforations. Upon breaking the perforations, the user can grasp the tab of the wrapper and thereafter open the package by pulling on the wrapper in the same direction as the molecular orientation direction of the wrapper. The high degree of molecular orientation allows the package to be cleanly torn open with very little effort.

Abstract: One embodiment of a wrapping film comprises a polymer film having, on at least one surface thereof, at least one sealing area comprising at least one varnished area; and a plurality of individual unvarnished areas; wherein, within the sealing area, the area ratio of the unvarnished areas to the varnished area (PV:V) is ?1; and wherein, within the sealing area, the largest individual unvarnished area is ?30 mm2. Abstract: A packaging assembly for a large item such as a solar pool cover in an exemplary embodiment utilizes a shrink-wrap packaging material. The packaging material may be formed of a polyolefin material, and may have a thickness of about 1.0-2.5 mils. The packaged item, such as a solar cover, may be formed at least partially of polyethylene. Additionally, the solar cover may be rolled into a roll having a cylindrical shape with a cylindrical diameter of at least about 30 inches and a cylindrical width of at least about 48 inches. Other items of similar size may be packaged using the packaging assembly.

Abstract: A wrapper for wrapping a cylindrical roll of coiled material, such as coiled steel, is a one-piece wrapper which covers the outer periphery, the ends and the inner periphery of the roll. The wrapper has a first portion for covering the ends and outer periphery and a second portion for covering the inner periphery. Draw strings are provided at the longitudinal edges of the first portion for cinching the wrapper against the ends of the roll.

Abstract: An overwrap provides cushioning and protection for an object, stored in a bag or other container, during transport and/or storage. The overwrap has a generally smooth exterior surface and textured interior surface that is pliable for conforming to bumps or other raised portions of the object thereby providing a generally smooth exterior covering that minimizes frictional forces with the bag. The overwrap may include one or more folding scores that allow the body of the overwrap to bend into a channel. A plurality of material discontinuities may also be included that allow the overwrap of conform to the object without bunching.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for wrapping a long or round part, for example a steel part, for instance in the form of a steel strip coil, a steel wire roll or a round steel part such as a roller bearing ring, the steel part being wrapped in a stretch film, in particular a plastic stretch film, in a helical and covering manner. In order to realize a short term wrapping of a long or round part, irrespective of its material properties, and as a reliable transport protection the invention proposes that a strip material which is significantly more resistant than the stretch film and has an adhesive coating on the side facing the stretch film is wound over the stretch film likewise in a covering manner.

Abstract: A packaging method for sanitary items, the preferred embodiment of which is a diapering kit. In the diapering kit example, one or more diaper wipe(s) (12) are rolled around a disposal bag (10). The disposal bag folds back over the wipes, and a diaper (20) is rolled around it. The disposal bag is closed by a releasable closure (18), leaving the closed end of the disposal bag exposed, and folds back over the rolled diaper. A third reusable closure (22) closes the disposal bag at the other end of the rolled diaper, and the disposal bag folds back over the rolled diaper to the half-way point where it is closed tightly around the rolled diaper by a fourth releasable closure (32). Four additional item storage locations are created within the disposal bag, with potential for storing several different material types.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a gift wrap ensemble that includes a first end cap and a second end cap. Each of the first and second end caps includes a base member and a plurality of depressions extending therefrom. A plurality of gift wrap rolls are provided that form a chamber therebetween and that receive the depressions. A decorative item, such as a ribbon, bow, tissue paper and/or a gift tag, is positioned within the chamber. Packaging such as shrink wrap, a container, etc. encloses the decorative item within the chamber, and the decorative item is visually-perceptible from outside the packaging.

Abstract: A method for packaging a photosensitive film roll, which includes packaging the photosensitive film roll with a resin case. The photosensitive film roll is formed in a step by winding around a core, a photosensitive film comprising a supporting film and a photosensitive resin composition layer formed on the supporting film. The resin case is collapsible without generating any waste materials after the case is collapsed. The photosensitive resin layer includes a photosensitive resin composition containing a binder polymer and a photopolymerizable compound having at least one polymerizable ethylenically unsaturated group within a molecule and a photopolymerization initiator, and the resin case consists of a resin having a lower surface energy than the photosensitive resin composition.

Abstract: A paper roll having a non-slip surface on the end(s) of the roll, particularly large paper rolls such as those from a paper making processes. A header, having a non-slip coating on one side and an adhesive coating on the other side is applied to end(s) of the rolled paper. Microencapsulated materials are one suitable class of non-slip materials. The non-slip surface on the header improves stability of the roll, when stood on end, during transport, such as in cargo trucks.

Abstract: A plastic newspaper cover having an attached package overlay with the package containing an item such as advertisements, coupons, samples, notices, etc. The cover or sleeve and package are formed from folded thin polymeric heat-sealable sheets which are overlaid that may be simultaneously cut and heat-sealed into the final shape.

Abstract: A roll roofing material is provided in the form of a cylindrical roll that may or may not have an exterior covering thereon, and with transverse members being provided, carried by the cylindrical roll, and which protrude generally outwardly of an exterior cylindrical surface of the roll. The transverse members inhibit rolling of the roll roofing either off a pitched roof, or relative to a flat roof. One or more inserts may be provided in a hollow core of the roll, and connectors may attach a strap to these inserts for transporting the same from ground to a rooftop, or otherwise. Protective covers may be provided at opposite ends of the roll roofing, and the protective covers may comprise the transverse members, as may be desired.

Abstract: A package for a wide line, film ribbon which utilizes a pair of spaced-apart end pieces which engages a pair of spaced-apart end pieces engaging the end edges of the ribbon roll stored within the roll in multiple turns. A sheet of corrugated material is formed into a roll and inserted into the core opening of the film ribbon roll to stabilize the roll, and another sheet of corrugated material is wound about the outer surface of the roll to protect the surface and the roll itself from damage. A shrinkable overwrap encompasses the end pieces, the corrugated material, and the ribbon roll underneath to provide additional protection and maintain the components of the package and the film ribbon roll in a predetermined fixed relationship.

Abstract: Packaging rolls and a method of packaging rolls of textile fabric are provided in which a roll of textile fabric having first and second transverse ends and a longitudinal length is inserted within a polymeric bag disposed over the roll. The polymeric bag includes a reclosable closure strip comprising at least one rib and one groove oppositely disposed on an inner surface of the polymeric bag proximate to the bag opening. The polymeric bag is designed to provide water and abrasion resistance to rolls of textile goods of about 3–16 feet in length and about 6–24 inches in diameter. The bag can also be reused for partially used rolls.

The cover may be adapted with an opening to enable wire to pass through the cover with the cover disposed on the container. The container may be adapted to be lifted by inserting a fork, or other lifting member, of a lifting device into the container. Abstract: The invention is a cleaning material for cleaning printing machines. The cleaning material is comprised of a fabric that has been impregnated with a cleaning composition having branched chain monobasic and/or dibasic esters that contain 2-ethyl hexanoate. The cleaning composition can also include additional low volatility solvents and surfactants. A particularly useful cleaning composition is comprised of isobutyl stearate in combination with branched chain monobasic and/or dibasic esters that contain 2-ethyl hexanoate. The cleaning material can be wound onto a roll that can be adaptable to fit commercially available printing machine cleaning devices.

Abstract: A package of a roll, particularly a paper web roll comprising a wrapper, particularly a paper web wrapper wound stagewise into at least two wrappings about the roll in an overlap fashion. The paper web wrapper is wound about the roll in a slightly helical manner so that the edges of the wrapper layers overlap in a staggered fashion. The staggered edges of the overlap wrapping are formed so that each superposed wrapper layer conceals the underlying wrapper layer, whereby in a finished wrapping of a product only one wrapper edge remains visible.

Abstract: A knitted netting includes longitudinal polyolefin ribbons and lateral polyolefin ribbons knitted with the longitudinal polyolefin ribbons to form knitted netting. The lateral polyolefin ribbons of the knitted netting have an actual shuss length more than 110% of a calculated shuss length for the knitted netting. The actual shuss length being in excess of 110% of the calculated shuss length for the knitted netting prevents transverse shrinkage of the netting.

The light-shielding sheet is partially adhered to the adapter flange portion.

Abstract: When packaging a roll product in which a belt-shaped sensitized material has been wound around a core with a light shielding sheet, the packaging apparatus is capable of forming an angle pleated portion of a gather-folded portion which covers a roll end surface with stability, and the package of roll product is capable of retaining the light shielding property and the moisture resistance while making the area of the sheet as small as possible. The gather-folding apparatus forms angle pleated portions on end surface wrapping material by means of both plate-shaped folding members which come into plane contact from outside of the end surface wrapping material and inter support arms which come into line-contact with the inner peripheral surface of the end surface wrapping material. This gather-folding apparatus forms, by means of both the surfaces of the plate-shaped folding members and the line of the inter support arm, two planes of folded planes sandwiching the line concerned.
