Abstract: A rolled food item (110) is fabricated by rolling a strip of support material (16) and food (14) about its leading end (136) into a roll. Prior to its rolling into the roll, a deposit (144) of water is sprayed onto the food (14) adjacent to the trailing end (138) to increase the tackiness of the food (14) sufficient to be adherable to the support material (16) in the roll to at least temporarily prevent unintentional unrolling of the roll during later fabrication operations. In the preferred form, the trailing end of the deposit (144) is coextensive with the trailing end (138) of the strip of support material (16) and food (14). In one form, the side edges of the deposit (144) are spaced inwardly from the side edges of the food (14) which are spaced inwardly from the side edges of the support material (16).

The sealing tape includes a bonding portion and a release portion which are made of a single tape base. The bonding portion has a bond layer coated on the tape base for securing the sealing tape to a surface of light-shielding paper, the release portion made of a folded-over portion formed by folding over the tape base includes a tacky layer and a release layer inside the folded-over portion which are coated on the tape base separately and directly face each other and an end of the tape base is secured to the end portion of the bond layer.

Abstract: A process for manufacturing easily portable and multi-layered adhesive tape roll is described. The flat piece of easily portable and multi-layered adhesive tape is formed by compressing the adhesive tape roll having circular shape or other shapes. The adhesive tape roll is compressed and cohered during the compressing step. A stiff interfacial layer, for example, having adhesion by adhering two innermost adhesive surfaces, by providing a stronger adhesion material, by inserting a stiff and solid material, or a stiff and solid material coated with a strong adhesion material, is applied to the symmetry plane of the adhesive tape during the compressing step. The preferential material of the high adhesion material is a cyanoacrylate adhesive or an epoxy adhesive.

Abstract: A dispenser for applying a material to a surface includes a supply spool rotatable about an axis, a quantity of unused tape stored on the supply spool, and an applicator head about which the tape is passed. The head presses the tape against a surface to deposit a transfer layer of the tape onto the surface. A take-up spool stores a backing layer of the tape after the transfer layer has been deposited on the surface. The take-up spool is also rotatable about the axis. A housing surrounds at least a majority of the tape, a substantial portion of the housing being substantially cylindrical in shape. The tape is guided from the supply spool to the head and from the head to the take-up spool. The applicator head is located substantially along the axis, and the spools are movable along the axis. The tape causes movement of the spools along the axis as the spools are rotated about the axis. The-tape is stored on each spool in a plurality of tape layers thick and a plurality of tape widths wide.
