A container adapted to store and dispense lotion includes a cavity adapted to store lotion sufficient for a single application; an integrated applicator spout extending out from the cavity; and a removable section adapted to allow stored lotion to be dispensed through the applicator spout. A lotion kit includes multiple single-use lotion containers; and a fastener adapted to be coupled to one or more of the single-use lotion containers.

Abstract: An online ordering system and method for placing a multiple tablet order are described. The system comprises a graphical user interface configured to display information for a plurality of medicinal tablets. The graphical user interface is further configured to receive a plurality of multiple tablet orders. Each multiple tablet order corresponds to at least two medicinal tablets for consumption on a particular date at a particular time. Each of the multiple tablet orders corresponds to a multiple tablet package labeled with tablet specific information. The tablet specific information for each package includes the date and the time for consuming the tablets in the package and a plurality of images of each of the tablets in the package. The method is implemented by the system.

Abstract: The disclosure concerns a camera mouth mount including a mouth piece coupled to a camera mount and configured for holding the camera mount with the mouth of a user. The mouth piece includes a pair of opposing bite supports extending from a proximal end to a distal end, the bite supports being connected at a junction disposed at the distal end. The camera mount is coupled to the junction of the bite supports. Various embodiments are described wherein a mouth piece is coupled to a camera mount. The camera mouth piece is used to hold a camera in ones mouth for the purpose of obtaining media while performing an activity such as surfing or another action sport.

Abstract: A material having a first surface and a second surface is disclosed. The first or second surface comprises a texture. The texture is defined by peaks and valleys such that the textured surface may have an Average Peak to Peak Distance in the range of about 3 mm to about 16 mm, an Average Height Differential of at least 1 mm, and a Surface Topography Index from about 0.1 to about 5. The material may comprise a surfactant.

Abstract: An article of manufacture is disclosed. The article of manufacture comprises a package and a disposable sheet. The sheet has a first surface and a second surface. One of the surfaces comprises a texture. The texture is defined by peaks and valleys such that the one textured surface may have an Average Peak to Peak Distance in the range of about 1 mm to about 20 mm, an Average Height Differential in the range of 1 mm to 3 mm, and a Surface Topography Index in the range of about 0.01 to about 10. The sheet may be contained within the package.

Abstract: A bandage strip includes a plurality of flat adhesive bandage packages of conventional configuration, having sealed therein an adhesive bandage with a pad and an adhesive substrate for adhering to a patient and holding the pad in place on the patient's skin. The packages are adhered to an elongated substrate in end-to-end, spaced relation to form a flat, elongated bandage strip, with perforations in the substrate between the packages. A user can dispense a length of substrate, sever it at the perforations, and remove the bandage from the substrate for use in the conventional manner. A bandage dispensing device is attachable to the wrist of a user for convenient dispensing of bandages from a strip of individually packaged bandages.

Abstract: An improved fastener stock is comprised of a pair of longitudinal and continuous side members to which are coupled to a plurality of equidistantly spaced cross-pieces. The pair of longitudinal and continuous side members are extended in a parallel spaced relationship, and the series of cross-pieces are arranged at spaced intervals between the side members so as to connect the side members. Along at least one of the side members, a series of engagement notches are present at spaced intervals between each of the cross-pieces members, and the engagement notches are rectangular or square in shape. A method of applying a fastener to an article is provided. The method includes initially feeding a substantially continuous fastener stock from a supply, engaging at least one engagement notch, urging the fastener stock forward, feeding the fastener stock to a needle assembly, cutting a fastener from the fastener stock, and inserting the fastener into an article.

Abstract: Packaging for heatable food portions comprises an ovenable tray including a plurality of serving containers connected by a detachable support matrix. In one embodiment, the support matrix is attached to the serving containers by hot melt glue which melts during baking or heating to automatically release the support matrix from the serving containers. Pre-filled trays are shipped with display covers fitted to the serving containers, such that the covers may be placed on the individual serving containers after the food portions are baked and the serving containers are separated from the support matrix to provide individually packaged, freshly baked food portions for display.

The foil strip has a certain width in the region of the pouches, which is less than the width of the foil in other regions, and the openings are arranged in this broader part of the foil strip. The cover is removably affixed to the base plate, to allow exposure of the pastes for mixing together on the upper surface of the base plate.

Abstract: A medical seal dispenser having a container molded of plastic and having clamshell portions hinged together. The clamshell portions of the container can be locked together when in a closed position. One clamshell portion includes a core holder for holding a roll of foil-type medical seals removably attached to a carrier strip. During dispensing of a medical seal, the carrier strip is pulled so that it is unrolled from the roll and is routed over an exit hump of the dispenser. The exit hump imparts a curl to the metal foil seal that is opposite that which was incurred when rolled on the roll, thereby straightening the foil seal.

Abstract: A medical seal dispenser having a container molded of plastic and having clamshell portions hinged together. The clamshell portions of the container can be locked together when in a closed position. One clamshell portion includes a core holder for holding a roll of medical seals. The core holder includes speed bumps that are raised or domed protrusions on the core holder to provide rolling friction to the roll of medical seals during dispensing. This controlled rotation of the roll prevents spooling if the carrier strip is pulled out of the container too quickly.

Abstract: A heat-shrinkable holder is disclosed for securing a plurality of articles. The holder may include a first sheet formed of heat-shrinkable material, and a second sheet formed of heat-shrinkable material and joined to the first sheet. The first sheet and the second sheet are joined so as to create at least two openings therebetween. Each of the openings is sized larger than one of the articles. The first and second sheets are heat-shrinkable to an extent to shrink the openings sufficiently to secure two of the articles together into a unit. Various modifications and additions are possible, including use of more than three sheets, providing for the reading of printed indicia on the articles or holder, providing a handle. Numerous orientations and collections of articles are possible. Related packages including a holder and articles are also disclosed, as well as related methods of manufacture of the holder and package.

Abstract: A foldable tag including multiple fold segments and an expandable loop conjoined to one of the multiple fold segments is disclosed. In illustrated embodiments the foldable tag includes multiple fold segments to form a bi-fold tag or alternatively a tri-fold tag. As disclosed the expandable loop is formed along a portion of an elastomeric sheet that is conjoined with a portion of the foldable tag.

Releasable fasteners such as adhesives, heat seals, and/or perforations may be employed on the sheets. If desired, articles may be individually sleeved with a heat shrinkable film blank portion, which may function as labeling.

The individual sheets can also be used as mop head covers. On one end portion side of a packaging container (blister package) including a container body and a sheet member detachably attached to a planar surface of the container body, a free portion in which the sheet member is not attached to an outer frame portion of the container body, is disposed. Further, perforated lines (cut portions and uncut portions) are disposed along center lines of boundary portions from one end portion of the packaging container to the other end portion thereof. Here, the length of the uncut portion on the free portion is made longer than the length of each uncut portion on a portion other than the free portion.

Thereby, the tail side connecting portion and the head side connecting portion can be positioned in a longitudinal direction, a width direction and a thickness direction of the tape and held to each other and can efficiently be connected without using an exclusive connecting jig.

Abstract: A labeling apparatus has a source of printed labels that have adhesive backing, a vacuum pickup with two opposable arms, a blower bar to support a label on air. Each opposable arm has its own vacuum head and each head is removably attachable to a respective end portion of the label. The apparatus also has a label position sensor, and the vacuum pickup is movable from a pickup position to a wrap position. Each pickup arm has a plurality of spring loaded pins. A two layer label has a backing strip, an inner layer, and an outer layer, and at least one removable portion of the outer layer. The label has a neck portion and two end portions, such that the label set may be wrapped a container with the two end portions adhered back to back to each other. The neck portion is relatively narrower than either of the two end portions and is relatively offset so that it is closer to a front edge of the label.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a contact lens package containing a contact lens in a compressed state. In one exemplary embodiment, the overall internal depth of the package is less than the natural sagittal depth of the contact lens. Different single-use contact lens package shapes and configurations may be used. In some embodiments, a spring disc is included in the packages to help present the contact lens to the user when the package is opened. The contact lens packages may be adhered or clipped to a card or other carrier sheet, and may be housed in a number of different secondary packages.

Abstract: A rivet collating system is provided that includes a rivet holder for supporting rivets in a predetermined pattern. In one form, the rivet holder includes a unitary plate in which apertures are configured for supporting the rivets depending therefrom. In another form, the collating system includes a plate body and drive heads that are integrally connected via frangible portions to the plate body. Preferably, retaining webs are provided about the apertures to releasably hold the rivet heads therein. The drive heads are driven downward to sever the frangible portions with the webs flexing to release the rivet heads so that the rivets can be received in bores of a guide block of a belt fastener installation tool. A method of manufacture of the rivet holders is also disclosed.

Abstract: A sticker package includes a sticker assembly and a package case. The sticker assembly includes an elongate strip of flexible film and a continuously extended sticker attached to a surface of the flexible film. The sticker has a projection area on the surface of the flexible film that is smaller than the surface area of the surface of the flexible film. The package case includes upper and lower lids. The upper lid is bulged to form a receiving compartment. The lower lid is cut to form an opening. The sticker assembly is wound up as a roll received and retained in the receiving compartment with a leading end extending out of the case through the opening. To use, the sticker assembly is pulled off the package case through the opening and the sticker is then allowed to peel off the flexible film.

Abstract: A container (3) includes an opening (8) for dispensing flowable or pourable substances located in the container and a closing device (11) closing the opening (8) and removable to free the opening (8). An auxiliary receptacle (13) is provided for holding an additive (27) to be added to the contents of the container (3), and is detachably attached to the container (3). The auxiliary receptacle comprises a discharge opening which can be freed by removing a closure and which is provided for discharging the additive (27), and can be placed with its freed discharge opening on the opening (8) of the container (3) after removing its closure device (11) to form a passage. That passage is provided for adding the additive (27), is sealed from the outside and extends between the auxiliary receptacle (13) and container (3).

Abstract: A low-melt plastic fastener. According to one embodiment, the low-melt plastic fastener is shaped to include a flexible filament having a first cross-bar at a first end, and a second cross-bar at a second end. The filament, the first cross-bar, and the second cross-bar may be formed from the same material and may be molded as a unitary structure. Preferably, the fastener is molded as part of a length of continuously connected ladder stock. The plastic fastener is preferably made from a formulation consisting of about 60-99%, by weight, of a low-melt polyurethane and 1-40%, by weight, of a styrene acrylonitrile. The formulation is selected so that the filament melts when heated for about 10 minutes at 130-180° C.

Abstract: In a packaging arrangement for smoothly and conveniently providing small hardware items to an assembly line operator, the items are fastened onto a flexible band, lined up in the order in which they are to be installed on an article being assembled. The band is divided into equal segments defined by index marks, each segment containing the hardware items required for the assembly of one article. The items are fastened to the band off-line using securing features fashioned from the band itself in a manner and orientation by which each item can be plucked from the band with a tool that can grasp the item, pull it off the band, transport it to the article being assembled, and install it on the article without intermediate disengagement from the tool. The utilization of the band improves the productivity and reliability of manually assembled articles such as disk drives.

Abstract: Continuously connected fastener stock and a method of making same. The method, in one embodiment involves providing a rotating molding wheel, the wheel being provided with a peripheral impression comprising a pair of peripherally-extending side members interconnected by a plurality of cross-links. Molten plastic is extruded into the peripheral impression of the wheel, with a layer of controlled film overlying the peripheral impression. The molten plastic is then allowed to solidify. A knife in substantially elliptical contact with the peripheral impression is then used to skive excess plastic from the rotating molding wheel. The knife is provided with a pair of cut-out portions along its bottom edge, each cut-out portion being aligned with one of the peripherally-extending side members so as to augment the transverse cross-sectional size thereof. The continuously connected fastener stock thus formed is then removed from the rotating molding wheel.

Abstract: A carrier tape for holding a plurality of disks includes a thin, elongate strip of polymer material presenting a longitudinal axis and having a plurality of pockets defined therein. Each pocket is adapted to receive a separate one of the disks. The pockets are spaced apart and arranged along the longitudinal axis of the strip, and each pocket has at least one operable disk restraining structure for retaining the disk when the disk is received in the pocket.

Abstract: In a continuous strip of containers, the latter are distributed stepwise from one another according to a longitudinal axis of the strip, two adjacent containers being separated by a step. From one longitudinal edge zone traction pins protrude laterally that are intended in use to interact by contact with an advancing device for advancing the strip. For each traction pin a corresponding opposing projection is prearranged that protrudes from the opposite side of the longitudinal edge zone. The strip is designed to be conveyed along an advancing direction that is parallel to a longitudinal axis thereof. Each opposing projection is located slightly forward in relation to said advancing direction, compared with the relative traction pin, at an axial distance that is shorter than the step between the containers.

A plurality of right extension portions are stamped from the continuous web so that each of the body portions has one right extension portion integrally attached thereto. A dispenser assembly for dispensing face masks is also provided. The assembly includes a core and a roll of face masks that are rotatably disposed on the core. As least one of the face masks includes a body portion and left extension portion that is integrally attached to the body portion. A right extension portion is integrally attached to the body portion.

Abstract: A magazine strip of tie ratchets which are provided for holding the ends of ties for binding elongated articles such as cable harnesses and are connected to one another by webs, the width of which is not greater than half the ratchet width and which are arranged adjacent to the tie entry side of the ratchets. The webs have a length of not more than 1.3 mm and/or one sixth of the ratchet dimension in the direction of the magazine strip. The width of the essentially parallel wall sections which carry the webs is expediently not greater than three quarters of the entire width of the ratchets. The thickness/width ratio of the webs should be not greater than 1/5. The invention also relates to a tool for binding cable harnesses which ensures that the webs are cut exactly in the center.

Abstract: A cap assembly for an automatic cap feeder and fastener driver comprises a plurality of relatively thin, domed metal discs that can be pierced by fasteners discharged from a fastener driver such as a nail gun without bending the nail or jamming the driver, with the caps being connected together by a paper backed adhesive tape mounted on the undersides of the concave caps, with the caps having outer edges that are sufficiently sharp that they sever the tape from the strip of caps when the caps are driven into a substrate after a fastener has penetrated the caps. The fastener driver includes improved feeder teeth and an anti-backup pawl that extend into recesses in the track. A cover encloses an open edge of a cap storage basket.

A headed pin (head up/shank down) can be picked by standard placement equipment from a specially configured pocket tape using a hole that is tightly controlled for pin location. The head of the pin rests on top of the packaging tape preventing the pin from passing through the hole. A tapered section on the pin fits with minimal clearence assuring that a vacuum nozzle on the placement equipment when it descends sees and contacts the head top for vacuum nozzle pick-up.
