Abstract: A coin storage device, which can be inserted in a coin testing device or in a cash register system, is described. The coin storage device comprises at least two opposing walls, wherein between the walls a shaft having a width is configured, and a track disposed in the shaft is provided. Of the two opposing walls, at least one is at least partially displaceable, and the width of the shaft can thus be varied. The track is arranged displaceably, and at least one retaining rail is provided, wherein the retaining rail is displaceably disposed above the track in the shaft. Such a coin storage device can be used to sort out foreign objects based on gravity. A coin storage device is possible for a coin testing device, and congestion by coins or foreign objects can be eliminated due to the variable width of the shaft.

  • Patent number: 5207612
Abstract: A flexible coin bander having two semi-rigid ends that are suitably fixed to two flexible, inelastic sides of a predetermined length; the two semi-rigid ends and flexible sides essentially form a rectangle around a row of coins of a specific denomination and number. The coins are held in a semi-rigid configuration forming a shaft wherein the rigidity is achieved only by the combination of an exact number of coins being tightly pressed together between the semi-rigid ends and the flexible, inelastic sides. The coins are easily placed into or removed from the coin bander. The configuration makes this coin bander easily reusable, and, thus, the invention is an ideal coin holder for bank usage, cash drawers in business, and general coin storage in the home.

  • Patent number: 5191972
Abstract: A device for storage and display of small, generally planar articles such as coins or the like, comprises one or more generally planar compartments for displaying a face of one or more articles. The articles are held in a cavity, preferably a closed, dust-tight cavity, of a generally planar article holder having a pair of opposed walls having the cavity therebetween. The article holder is releasably held in a display compartment by a generally planar retainer member which bears against an article holder which is correctly positioned in the display compartment. The article holder is also prevented from lateral movement in the display compartment and is thus held in an article viewing position in the display compartment whereby an article which is correctly positioned in the article holder is properly positioned in a display compartment and is viewable through an aperture in the retainer and through a transparent wall of the holder.

  • Patent number: 5090179
Abstract: While measuring racks and the like are known to count or measure the number of coins required to wrap same into rolls, the actual wrapping requires considerable experience and dexterity and can be time consuming. The present device consists of a relatively thin plastic or card semi-circular trough having closed ends and a length equal to the required number of coins in a roil of that particular denomination with the curvature of the trough and length thereof varying with each denomination of coin. The entire trough and measured contents may then be wrapped in a conventional coin wrapper readily and easily as the closed ends of the trough retain the coins during the rollng process.
