  • Patent number: 4958797
Abstract: A device for protecting a plastic tray wall of a compartment of a till tray when a user breaks a wrapper of a coin roll by impacting the coin roll against the tray wall. A generally U-shaped member, which is made of metal or plastic, is mounted on a tray wall of a plastic till tray while grippers located on opposed legs of the U-shaped member retain the member on the tray wall. A user then breaks the wrapper of the coin roll by impacting the coin roll against the U-shaped member, thereby releasing the coins for depositing into a compartment of the till tray. A second embodiment of the device includes a ridge formed thereon to facilitate breaking the wrapper of the coin roll.

  • Patent number: 4881637
Abstract: An improved case particularly adapted for the safe and efficient storage and transportation of hats and boots, and in particular western style or cawboy hats and boots, is comprised of a single case preferably having two separate storage compartments, each of which is accessed throguh a separate door. One such compartment is designed to securely hold a hat, particularly a western or cowboy style hat. To achieve this result, a circular insert is provided which receives the top part of the hat thereby holding the hat in a fixed position while a strap, extending horizontally across parallel vertical sides of the box assures that the hat will not be jostled or damaged during transport. The second compartment contains straps along both sides which are intended to be used for securing boots and particularly western or cowboy style boots. Cutouts in an inner plate supporting the two compartments which comprise the case help hold each boot securely in place.

  • Patent number: 4836365
Abstract: A dispensing holder for discs (such as coins) comprises a middle plate and two face plates. Each middle plate and face plate define between them disc-receiving slots having mouths open to the edge of the holder. Each slot is bordered on one side by a finger spring on the middle plate, and on the other side by a face hole in the face plate. Manual depression of the finger spring by pressing on a disc through the appropriate face hole allows the disc to be slid out through the mouth of the slot.

  • Patent number: 4762512
Abstract: A device for collecting and playing with coins or the like includes a base in the form of an upward and inward sloping hollow pedestal having a generally flat bottom and a circular upper end concentric with and of substantially lesser cross-sectional area than the bottom. An open top main body, having a vertically extending circular upper rim and a circular downwardly and inwardly formed surface portion, extends from said rim to a lower aperture concentric with the rim and merging with the upper end of the pedestal, whereby the main body is supported on the pedestal along a common vertical centerline. A launching ramp is removably mounted on the rim and curves upward and inward over the main body toward the vertical centerline. The ramp has a downwardly and outwardly formed guiding surface arranged to cause disc-like objects placed thereon to roll onto the surface of the main body inside the rim and through a helical path of decreasing radius through the aperture and into the base.

  • Patent number: 4718738
Abstract: A flexible bag operable as a coin bank includes first and second sidewall members and a base portion. The sidewall members and base portion may be constructed from a flexible plastic material, such as a polyethylene plastic, which is capable of being heat-sealed. The flexible bag includes the plurality of edges, all of which are sealed to define an internal coin receiving chamber. Access to the chamber is provided by means of a coin slot, enabling coins to readily be placed into the bag, one at a time. Preferably the coin slot is sized to generally inhibit removal of large numbers of coins from the bag, without substantial difficulty. The flexible bag includes retaining means serving to keep the coin slot held substantially open for facilitating deposit of coins therein, at preferred times. The flexible bag bank may be constructed from materials sufficiently inexpensive and easy to cut open to facilitate complete destruction of the bank, when access to the coins is desired.
