Abstract: A gold dry washer comprised of a stand assembly and a trough assembly. The trough assembly is angled from an upper end with a hopper for raw soil to a lower end where denser gold is collected. Along the declining path of the trough are a series of graduating apertures that successively isolate the denser materials in the soil and allow waste to fall overboard. The stand assembly includes a motor or other gentle agitation means to encourage the dry soil to move with the aid of gravity towards the lower end of the trough where the heavier gold may be collected.

Abstract: A jig assembly for selecting and presenting fastener nuts in the correct orientation, each fastener nut including a nut cap and an assembling portion formed on an end of the fastener nut. The diameter of the nut cap is larger than the diameter of the assembling portion. The jig assembly includes an electric cabinet, a jig bracket, a feed container, and a sorting tray. The feed container includes a selector with an opening. The width of the opening is equal to the height of the fastener nut, the first sidewall of the selector forms a plurality of restricting protrusions, and each two adjacent restricting protrusions cooperatively define a restricting groove therebetween. The width of each restricting groove is equal to the diameter of the assembling portion, thus only fastener nuts in the correct orientation are capable of passing through the selector to be collected in the sorting tray.

Abstract: A process for producing packaged products from a film roll includes the steps of detecting whether an elongate film is defective or not, detecting whether a spool is defective or not, detecting whether an assembled cartridge is defective or not, and detecting whether a case is defective or not. Various defective products detected in these steps are removed without being fed to subsequent steps. By thus detecting various defects in the process for producing packaged products from a film roll, high-quality packaged products can efficiently be manufactured.

  • Patent number: 5909815
Abstract: The present invention is a sorter for products conveyed successively and continuously. The sorter components include a main screw rotated continuously by a drive shaft to arrange in order and convey products to be sorted. The main screw has helical grooves for engagement with the products and an annular groove portion for stopping therein each of the to-be-sorted products. The annular groove portion is positioned between helical grooves of the main screw. A rotatable sub-screw with helical grooves is located near the main screw at the annular groove portion for engagement with the products to be sorted. The sorter further includes a delivery means disposed at the annular groove to deliver the products from the main screw to the sub-screw and an interlocking mechanism rotating off the drive shaft which synchronizes the delivery means with the sub-screw. This sorter is a high speed, reliable system for sorting products undamaged.

Abstract: A separator is provided for use with a ditching machine to segregate rocks and coarse aggregates from the material excavated by the ditching machine s that the excavated material may be used as padding to protect the pipeline or other item positioned within the excavated trench. The separator comprises a plurality of rows of blades mounted on a rotatable drum. The spacing between adjacent blades within a row allows passage of the fine excavated material between the blades but prevents passage of the rocks and coarse aggregates. The rotating blades then deposit the rocks and coarse aggregates in a row beyond the row of fine material deposited along the trench.

Abstract: The apparatus makes use of a pair of rotating combs (11-14), the discs of the second comb being interposed between the discs of the first comb and positioned at the top between fixed guide plates (17). The discs of the first comb intercept the streams of closed capsules, from which any covers not provided with shells have already been removed. The capsules are inserted by their shells between the discs of the first comb and remain suspended on said discs by their covers (C1). Only capsule shells and any crushed capsules fall through the discs of the first comb. The capsules conveyed by the first rotating comb arrive on the discs of the second comb, generally with their covers at the front.

Abstract: A device for sorting small articles by size. A chute conveys the articles. A gap allows articles of less than a prescribed size through it. The gap is between the chute and a mechanism that extends across the slide. The mechanism detaches and conveys larger articles away along the gap. The object is to prevent articles from becoming jammed upstream of the gap. The gap is a channel that extends essentially across the slope of the chute. The channel is demarcated by two baffles. One baffle merges into the chute. The other merges into the detaching and conveying mechanism. The mechanism also has means of intermittently lifting or tossing articles that become jammed upstream of the channel.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method and apparatus for rejecting too short and/or too low products, particularly so-called fish fingers. Products (7, 8, 9) are advanced on at least one conveyor (1) towards a final position or stop (11) at a reception unit (3). In the area of the free end portion (2) of the conveyor (1) there is a restraining member (6) displaceable in a vertical direction towards the product flow, the member (6) being adapted such that in a stepwise advancement of the products by the conveyor (1) it can arrest or clamp products (7) of the right length and height, whereas faulty products (8) are removed with the aid of a lowerable hatch (4). The conveyor (1), hatch (4) and the products on the conveyor are arranged for displacement a short distance opposite to the advancing direction at the rejection operation, the product or products in the final position on the reception unit (3) being no longer urged by the following products and are removed, e.g. for further conveying to a packaging station.
