  • Patent number: 6065725
Abstract: An adjustable retaining bracket for securing a display panel to a stationary object. The invention provides a retaining bracket having a latching arm, with a rounded nose, pivotally connected to the bracket. The latching arm engages a corresponding latching pin located on a support arm. The support arm is secured to a display panel and pivotally attached to the mounting bracket using bolts. The invention is then secured to the existing store shelving using nuts and bolts. The latching arm contains at least one detent and is used to retain the display panel at a variety of viewing angles depending upon which detent engages the latching pin. When the display panel is rotated counterclockwise (toward the store shelving), the latching pin of the support arm engages the rounded nose of the latching arm, raises the arm and comes to rest in a detent position. Further movement of the sign will move the sign to the next detent position (if available).

  • Patent number: 5054628
Abstract: A folding carrier that is mountable upon a generally planar member includes a rotatably connected frame and carrying member. The frame is a substantially U-shaped member having a pair of legs and a back, each leg having a stop. The carrying member, which is also a U-shaped member, is constrained for limited rotational movement relative to the frame between a carrying position and a stored position. In its stored position, the carrying member is in a side-by-side relationship with the frame and inclined backwardly toward it. When in its extended position, the carrying member is substantially perpendicular to the planar member upon which the carrier is mounted. The carrying member bears against the stops of the frame to prevent further rotation beyond the preferred carrying position. Frictional elements that are mounted on the frame and carrying member engage the generally planar member and prevent unwanted movement of the carrier.

  • Patent number: 5032044
Abstract: A railroad car having a flat bed at the lowest possible level and a roof and side panels supported by stanchions at an extraordinary height is provided with cantilevered wheel seats for support of the front wheels of semistacked trucks with each truck backed into position by a forklift with the front end of the truck raised and its rear frame tucked in under the front end of a preceding truck. Side rails secured to the stanchions about one foot from the bed and about six inches in front of the stanchions help guide the trucks into proper position. Each wheel seat is comprised of two cantilevered box beams inserted into box receptacles supported by horizontal side box beams secured to the stanchions. A cross beam secured to the free end of the cantilevered box beams enhance the ability of the cantilevered box beams to support the weight of the truck and provide a place to secure an eye that receives a hook of a tie-down chain in a position directly below the front wheel axle of the truck.

  • Patent number: 5019126
Abstract: A foldable clothes hanger rail system that consist of a clothes hanger rail that is retractable when not in use. The foldable clothes hanger rail system was developed for applications such as laundry rooms where a permanent clothes hanger rail takes up too much room and is only needed on an intermittent basis. The rail is made retractable by having the rail attached to pivot members that pivot around screws fastened into a wall mountable frame. The pivot members are supported by chords or chains running from the upper portion of the frame and support the rail when it is rotated downward and in service. A rail clip is provided on the upper portion of the frame to keep the rail retracted when not in ervice. The entire system is made into one single unit to be easily mounted on a wall.
