  • Patent number: 4569450
Abstract: An apparel support device particularly adapted for hanging a plurality of neckties comprising a rectangular base member having a longitudinal channel formed therein and including opposed longitudinal grooves for receiving side flanges of a channel shaped hanger support member. A sheet metal hanger support member has opposed end flanges which are bent into a plane normal to the web of the hanger support member to provide for retaining the hanger support member on the base member and to provide limited movement of the hanger support member with respect to the base member to align cooperating fastener clearance holes on the respective members. The clearance holes in the hanger support member are in a conical boss formed by displacing portions of the web of the support member. Formed wire hanger members include a distal end formed into a circular loop having equal circular portions extending on opposite sides of the shank portion of the hanger member.

  • Patent number: 4538783
Abstract: In a rack particularly intended for suspending refuse disposal bags and having a circumferentially discontinuous carrier of variable size designed to retaining and stretching the top or mouth portion of the bag, said carrier comprises opposite, scissorslike holders (18,19 and 20,21) capable of distending the bag mouth both in an open position, substantially in rhomboid shape, and in a closed, assembled or collapsed position, thereby saving a cover for covering the bag between the fillings. The holders are preferably mounted in a pair of brackets (2,3) having an adjustable spacing so that the rack may be used for bags and sacks of considerably varying mouth sizes.

  • Patent number: 4516681
Abstract: The invention is concerned with a collapsible display hanger for detachable engagement with a perforated display panel provided with regularly spaced perforations arranged in horizontal and vertical rows. The display hanger of the invention comprises a hanger member having an elongate hanger arm adapted to extend outwardly from the panel and substantially perpendicular to the plane thereof, in a normal merchandise display position, and a bracket member adapted to be removably anchored to the panel through a pair of horizontally disposed perforations. A hinge means slidably interconnects the hanger member with the bracket member for pivotal movement of the hanger arm about a pivot axis between the normal display position and a collapsed position whereat the hanger arm lies closely adjacent the panel.

  • Patent number: 4366906
Abstract: A flattenable merchandising holder device including a pair of mounting elements swingably mounted in a display panel. The mounting elements define flatted locking portions engaging cooperating mounting channels on the display panel for selectively retaining the mounting elements in an operative position wherein a support provided on the lower end thereof extends forwardly from the lower end of the display panel. In a retracted position, the support elements are swung into general alignment with the flat plane of the display panel so as to define a flat arrangement of the device. The locking action is effected by longitudinally positioning the mounting element relative to the mounting channel. A connector is provided on the mounting element for mounting of the device to a perforated wall board. The display panel is provided with channel portions for removably mounting a display card element, such as for use with the merchandise intended to be carried on the support portion.

  • Patent number: 4356922
Abstract: The invention provides a collapsible saddle rack for wall mounting. The rack is easily moveable from an upper operative position presenting a horizontally disposed rack to a lower position in which the rack is pivoted downwardly to a position of rest against an associated wall. The rack includes a mounting plate, and two frame members pivotally mounted on the plate. In the operative position, the frame members interengage and are self-supporting, but may be easily disengaged and swung to their retracted positions.

  • Patent number: 4111309
Abstract: An adjustable garment assembly comprising in combination an inner frame and an outer frame with mounting means for removably securing the inner frame to a door or the like. Coupling means extends between the inner frame and the outer frame, with coupling means comprising expandable sections connected at one end thereof to the inner frame and at the opposite end thereof to the outer frame so as to obtain adjusted positions of the outer frame relative to the inner frame. Supporting means extends between the inner frame and the outer frame and having a plurality of hooks extending downwardly therefrom for receiving hangers thereon for supporting of garments, with the supporting means being longitudinally movable to different positions in conjunction with the coupling means. Closure means extending on each side of the inner frame and the outer frame to enclose same may be utilized and being expandable and contractable with the movement of the outer frame relative to the inner frame.

  • Patent number: 4048754
Abstract: A plant-holding type window box has wedge-tight spring-lock assembly-securance system providing rapid, tool-less set-up for use and knockdown for shipping or storage; plural hangers incrementally adjust in pre-spaced holes and screw-adjust in depth in coaction with screw adjustable stand-offs to mount the unit securely to all usual building-structure configurations; conveniently large and accessible assembly wedges so-relate visually to the wall members that the wall structure as a whole appears unitary when assembled; economical straight-cut fabrication is employed throughout to hold all edges of two-level plant pot holding structure.

  • Patent number: 4049126
Abstract: A portable bat rack having a first configuration attachable to a fence for the storage of baseball bats and a more compact second configuration of smaller dimensions for transporting the bat rack. The bat rack is front suspended adjacent each end minimizing tilting by partially equalizing the moments caused by the weight of the bats. A shelf-like first support bar is provided with individual forward opening recesses spaced laterally to independently receive each bat in a substantially vertical position. A bat receiving second support bar is provided and is detachably connected to the first support bar thereby allowing end-to-end coplanar abutting of the adjacent support bars in first configuration. A pair of hangers are pivotally attached to the first support bar near each end for attaching the bat rack to an open weave fence. A third hanger is pivotally attached to the outward end of the second support bar. Each hanger is rotatable against its respective support bar in the second configuration thereof.

  • Patent number: 3948191
Abstract: Collapsible shelving employs a horizontal rectangular board. A first set of like smaller boards of the same width as the horizontal board but less than half the length are hingedly secured together end to end. A second like set of like smaller boards are also hingedly secured together end to end. The first board in each set is hingedly secured at one end to a corresponding end of the horizontal board. Means secured to aligned edges of all boards enable same to be detachably secured to a wall. In use the first boards in both sets are disposed vertically downward and thereafter the boards in both sets alternate in horizontal and vertical positions.
