Abstract: A vehicle fishing rod holder with a rod holder body that is couplable to the bed of a truck in a locked configuration utilizing one or more mounting brackets. The rod holder body defines a holding channel for a fishing rod and a discontinuous slot for receiving a rod reel post of the fishing rod. A locking bar is coupled to the rod holder body and is operably configured to selectively lock the rod and reel into place by being positioned over the rod reel post. The rod holder body is also vertically adjustable using a clamping member and rotationally adjustable or pivoted using one or more arms.

Abstract: A fishing rod holder includes a retainer box having front, rear, upper and lower portions defined by a frame comprised of a plurality of upright frame members, wherein the plurality of upright frame members includes front upright frame members and rear upright frame members. The rear upright frame members include support portions for abuttingly supporting the retainer box in a raised position above a support surface. A planar member on the lower portion of the retainer box and includes a plurality of receiving apertures configured to receive a first portion of a fishing rod therethrough. First and second brackets are disposed on opposite sides of the retainer box having inwardly opening channels disposed therealong. Multiple divider members are slidingly received in the channels of the first and second brackets for movement therealong, wherein adjacent divider members are configured to retain a second portion of the fishing rod therebetween.

Abstract: A rod holder mounting system including first and second mounting bracket sub-assemblies adapted to couple to first and second opposing ends of a rod holder sub-assembly. Abstract: Described herein is a fishing rod carrier. The fishing rod carrier may comprise a front holder portion. The front holder portion may comprise a foam body surrounding an opening for receiving a tip end of a fishing rod and a first connector assembly proximate to the foam body. The fishing rod carrier may comprise a rear holder portion. The rear holder portion may comprise a semi-cylindrical body for receiving a handle end of the fishing rod and a second connector assembly proximate to the semi-cylindrical body. The fishing rod carrier may comprise a first rail configured to receive one or more of the first connector and the second connector.

Abstract: A fishing rod holder is disclosed. The rod holder is configured for installation in a pick-up truck, and it has a rod holder component and a separate mounting base. The mounting base is installed into the bed of the pick-up truck and the rod holder may then be installed and removed from the truck as needed. Quick release mechanisms are disclosed for securing the rod holder to the mounting base. Locking means, wheels and other features are also disclosed.

Abstract: A magnetic supporting device can include a body having a generally triangular shape with a magnet or set of magnets positioned in each corner of the bottom surface of the body. Because of its shape and the positioning of the magnets, the bottom surface of the body can be placed on uneven surfaces while still retaining contact between each magnet and the surface. In this way, the supporting device can be coupled to the surface with sufficient strength to allow many different items such as guns, fishing rods, and bows to be supported against or even hung vertically from the device. The supporting device can include a support structure that extends from a top surface of the supporting device. The support structure can form a number of channels and slots within which items such as guns and fishing rods can be placed. The magnetic nature of the device can also secure it to the hood of a vehicle for use as a rest while shooting a gun, or support optical devices such as cameras, scopes, and other attachable items.

A plurality of magnets are secured to the frame to removably attach to the ferromagnetic surface to aid in keeping the suction cups affixed to the ferromagnetic surface.

The apparatus further has a hitch coupled to the frame arranged and positioned such that when the at least one leg is not actuated, the frame may be coupled to a vehicle.

Abstract: A fishing rod holder assembly for securing, transporting and dispensing a plurality of fishing rods is disclosed. The invention herein provides a convenient way to secure, transport and dispense fishing rods from a vehicle such as a pickup truck. The fishing rod holder rotates and tilts the fishing rods to a stowed position to prevent the fishing rods from being bounced around and becoming damaged, especially during transport. The invention lowers the fishing rods to a horizontal position during transport to prevent possible damage to the expensive fishing rods as a result of their sticking up above the profile of a pickup truck and being exposed to the high velocity air when traveling at expressway speeds or becoming entangled with low hanging vegetation or other obstacles while driving down a road.

This allows the entire frame, along with the fishing rods, to be removed and transported after use.

The sliding lock plate is secured to the retention base with a padlock. A rod retention plate may be used in conjunction with the locking storage system for fishing rods. A second embodiment includes a contoured rod base and a sliding lock plate engaged with the contoured rod base. A third embodiment includes a rod tray, a rod support and a swinging lock plate.
