  • Patent number: 11859422
Abstract: A leafless joint apparatus that couples an enclosure housing to an enclosure cover or door. Similar to previous hinge apparatuses, the leafless joint apparatus can include a knuckle and a pintel or pin to facilitate pivot operations (e.g., the cover pivoting open). However, the leafless joint apparatus does not rely on leafs that attach by means of fasteners (e.g., screws or the like) and therefore can facilitate sliding operations (e.g., the cover can slide open). Thus, the leafless joint apparatus can facilitate access to an interior of the enclosure by way repositioning the cover of the enclosure via a pivot or hinging operation or via a sliding operation that can partially or fully expose the interior of the enclosure and even, if desired, slide entirely off, decoupling from the enclosure housing.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a lid for a vessel has a generally planar body with top side and bottom side, a handle receptacle extending below the bottom side of the generally planar body, and a grasping portion of a handle adapted to fit within the handle receptacle which is rotatably movable between two configurations. In a fully extended configuration, the grasping portion of the handle rises above the top side of the generally planar body of the lid. In a fully retracted configuration, the grasping portion of the handle is fully beneath the generally planar body of the top side of the lid. A combined height of the lid and the vessel, when the lid is engaged with the vessel, may be at least 23.8% less when in the fully retracted configuration compared to the fully extended configuration.

Abstract: An apparatus for cooking and preparing food that includes side accessibility. Such a cooking vessel includes advantages over conventional cooking vessels because the prepared food may be accessed from the side as opposed to accessing it from the top in conventional ovens and cooking vessels. Thus, a cooking vessel base may include a semi-enclosed cavity that has a flat base section with walls that leave exposed a side where food may be retrieved. Further, the apparatus includes a cooking vessel lid that may be placed on the cooking vessel base and enclose the exposed top and the exposed side. The shape of the cavity may be any shape where a portion of a lateral side may be accessed when the accompanying lid is removed. Such examples of shapes include a rectangular and a circular vessel.

Abstract: A drink bottle with a removable lid includes an inner lid attached to the mouth of the bottle and an outer lid or cover pivotably mounted on the inner lid. The outer lid or cover may be locked into a closed position covering the drinking tube. A push button on the inner lid can be operated to release the locked outer lid, permitting the outer lid to open so as to permit drinking from a drinking tube positioned therein. The push button moves a lid slide that extends to a point on the inner lid generally opposite to the hinge and contains an extension that engages with a notch in the upper lid to hold the upper lid closed. On actuating the push button, the lid slide is pulled in the direction of the push button and the extension located on the other end of the lid slide moves out of engagement of the outer lid, thereby opening the outer lid.
