  • Patent number: 11415437
Abstract: A sensor for operating in an environment subjected to corrosive gases or liquids under pressure, including a housing inside which are installed: a sensing portion, at least one wire electrically connected to the sensing portion, and a seal for sealing the connection between the sensing portion and the at least one wire, with at least one through-hole receiving a portion of the at least one wire. The sensor further including a compressor installed inside the housing, movable with respect to the housing and adapted to contact the seal in order to compress. The seal is made from a single material that is softer than the material constituting the housing. Upon displacement of the compressor, the seal is deformed until the creation of a compression force exerted by the seal onto the portion of the at least one wire, prevents any passage of corrosive gases or liquids between the seal therebetween.

  • Patent number: 6669048
Abstract: A multi-compartment bottle is provided, the bottle comprising a body defining a plurality of compartments, with each compartment being adapted to contain an amount of a liquid. A neck finish, integral with the body, has an outer surface which defines an opening for and in communication with each respective compartment. Each opening is adapted to allow dispensing of the respective liquid therethrough. The outer surface of the neck finish defines a groove configured to discretely separate the openings such that the groove prevents liquid dispensed from one opening from entering another opening. The openings are further arranged so as to collectively define a substantially circular outer periphery for the neck finish. A closure system for the bottle comprises a plug for and configured to be separably engageable with each respective opening.

Abstract: A plug structure of a liquid drainage installation includes a sealing ring clamped between two combined half bodies. The outer periphery of the sealing ring protrudes outward from the outer periphery of the two half bodies. Thus, the protruding dimension of the sealing ring may be adjusted by the clamping extent of the two bodies, thereby compensating the wearing amount due to usage. The two half bodies may be separated easily, thereby facilitating replacing the sealing ring.

  • Patent number: 6361099
Abstract: A molded floor covering for a vehicle floor includes a thermoplastic polymer layer with an integral, threaded drain tube extending therefrom. The drain tube is configured such that a distal end thereof can extend through a drain hole in a vehicle floor when the floor covering is installed within a vehicle. The drain tube includes a threaded bore that is configured to receive a correspondingly-threaded drain plug therein. A method of producing a molded floor covering having an integrally formed, threaded drain tube includes providing a mold having a contour of a vehicle floor with an outwardly projecting threaded member. A layer of thermoplastic polymer is vacuum formed over the mold and around the threaded member such that the layer follows the contours of the mold and threaded member to form an elongate tube extending therefrom.

Abstract: A preferred storage system includes a container, a closure lid, and a compression link. Preferably, the container includes an outer wall, which defines an interior, and a first open end. The closure lid is configured to be inserted within the open end of the container, and is adapted to engage in a sealing relationship with the outer wall of the container. Preferably, the compression link includes a container engagement surface and a closure lid engagement surface. The compression link is configured to engage between the closure lid and the outer wall of the container to retain the closure lid in sealing engagement with the container. The container engagement surface and the closure lid engagement surface are configured to extend outwardly from each other, with the container engagement surface being adapted to engage the outer wall of the container and the closure lid engagement surface being adapted to engage the closure lid. Methods also are provided.

Abstract: Floor drains are provided that can be inserted through floor coverings and through multiple floor panels of a vehicle body. An elongate hollow body terminates at an open distal end and at an open proximate end. A flange extends circumferentially around the open proximate end. One or more resilient members extend circumferentially around, and outwardly from, the body in adjacent spaced-apart relationship with the flange. The resilient members are configured to secure the floor drain within a vehicle floor panel such that the flange compressively engages the floor panel.

  • Patent number: 6189718
Abstract: A fluidtight seal for a container is formed by abutting a metal ring with a step machined in a convexo-concave container closure device and inserting this assembly into an open end of the container. Under compressive force, the closure device deforms causing the metal ring to pivot about the step on the closure device and interact with symmetrically tapered inner walls of the container to form a fluidtight seal between the container and the closure device. The compressive force is then withdrawn without affecting the fluidtight characteristic of the seal. A destructive force against the container closure device is necessary to destroy the fluidtight seal.

An air-tight sealing mechanism is obtained by forming a laterally and downwardly opening annular groove in the base plate to support an O-ring gasket of rubber and providing, below the base plate, a presser plate which presses up the O-ring gasket against the base plate by a means of cams or screw means in such a fashion that the O-ring gasket is elastically deformed and laterally bulged out to be brought into air-tight contacting with the inner wall of the bell jar covering surrounding the base plate.
