    Abstract: A closure apparatus for a container includes an adapter which is mounted on or otherwise integrally formed with the container adjacent the container opening, and a cap which is moveable between an opened position and a closed position over the container opening. A coupling mechanism is provided for interconnecting the cap to the adapter so as to enable the cap to slide relative to the adapter between the opened and a closed position. A clamping mechanism, preferably provided by opposing ramped surfaces on the adapter and cap, is provided ton cooperate with the coupling means whereby the cap is urged into pressing engagement with the adapter over the container opening as the cap slides into the closed position.

    Abstract: A case protecting the buttons of and supporting a remote control transmitter, the transmitter including an opening to receive a key chain ring, the case further including a container and a rigid clear plastic cover-panel that is slidable by one's thumb. The cover-panel is fitted within two side grooves tapered only at rear ends in the container and also includes a catch that prevents the cover-panel from sliding completely off the container in a forward direction. The container includes an indentation notch on one side end wall that allows the catch to pass therethrough when sliding the cover-panel completely off the container in the rearward direction. There is also provided a second opening in the container that permits the transmitter's key chain ring opening to pass therethrough. The case protects the buttons of the transmitter. The transmitter can be one that activates personal or auto alarms, opens and closes garage doors or gates, unlocks an automobile trunk, or controls household electronics.

    Abstract: A container for holding contact lenses in contact lens treatment solutions which has a base member equipped with at least one compartment. Each compartment has a predetermined length and width situated in a juxtaposed position with a partition thereinbetween for holding the contact lens and a laterally projecting flange around the perimeter of the compartment. Each compartment is filled with a contact lens treatment solution. A layer of adhesive is deposited on the laterally projecting flange. A cover sheet member extending at least across the full length and width of the compartment is releaseably united to the base member at the flange by the layer of adhesive forming a fluid-tight seal. The layer of adhesive is capable of uniting the cover sheet member and the base member at the flange and forming a fluid-tight seal after repeated uniting and releasing between the two members. In an alternate embodiment, a sliding cover is used to slidingly engage the flange achieving a fluid-tight seal.

    Abstract: Methods of and apparatus for adding toner to an electrostatographic development station from a flat-flanged container containing toner minimizes spillage of toner by automatically uncovering and recovering the container. The flat-flanged container has a mouth surrounded by a peripheral flange which is covered by a flexible cover folded upon itself and adhered to the flange. A slide cover is slidably mounted on the flange with the flexible cover attached at one end to the slide cover. The container is emptied by inserting the container into a sump lid positioned over a hopper within the electrostatographic development station and moving the container so that the mouth of the container is in alignment with an opening through the sump lid. As the container is moved into alignment with opening, the slide cover is automatically removed from the container simultaneously peeling the flexible cover from the flange and opening the container to empty the toner.

The needle-retaining material in the tray may be presented in two different forms, either as a contiguous supply of strips in the tray or as individual small cup-like depressions each containing a small amount.
