Abstract: The present invention relates to a structure and a container for culturing cells. In one arrangement, the structure (200) comprises a partially enclosed cavity (204) and a plurality of compartments (201) adapted for fluid communication with the partially enclosed cavity (204). Each compartment (201) is configured to hold one or more cell within its compartment (201) at a location dependent on a dimension of the cell. This arrangement may facilitate visual identification or indication of the size of the cell by observing its location within its compartment (201). The structure (200) may be included or formed integrally with a container (100) such as a Petri dish.

Abstract: A container handling system that has an ergonomic handle which can be releasably coupled to the rim of a container such as a paint can, allowing the user to carry and manipulate the container with one hand. When the container handling system is coupled to the rim of a container, the upper portion of the handle provides a lifting surface for the index finger, thumb and hand of the user providing leverage and reducing hand fatigue.

Abstract: A device and method for one-handed securing and controlling of a container with decreased stress and pressure upon the thumb, wrist, forearm and hand of the user. The device utilizes an attached spring-activated swivel gate hook to engage the semi-circular bale handle of a can in various positions that allow for maximum control and flexibility in the manipulation of the container combined with the freedom to adjust the grip of the can without giving up the option to work with both hands. The weight of the can, is in all situations, is equally distributed and centered at the point of flexion of the wrist. Ease of movement is accomplished while supporting the hand, wrist and lower forearm of the user.

A lower loop is configured to encircle the water bottle. Accommodating the thumb outside of the handle portion prevents stress on an abductor pollicis brevis muscle, an abductor pollicis longus muscle, an abductor pollicis muscle and a dorsal interosseous muscle that is proximate the thumb while permitting movement of the water bottle by the over-hand grip.

The container protector is designed to sealing fit around the top periphery of a container with the interior lip extending upward to prevent material within the container from flowing outward therefrom during transitions. Such transitions may be caused by heating, transportation, or other disturbances. The precise dimensions of the container protector will vary from one embodiment to the next, and the container protector may take any shape depending on the container for which it is designed.

Abstract: Shape memory insulators comprising a first layer of core material, such as polymeric insulative material, and a second, shape memory layer of elastomeric material, for attachment to objects. The shape memory layer may comprise silicone rubber, silicone gum, silicon crepe, and/or silicone gel, for example. The shape memory insulator may be part of a handle for an object, such as a pot or pan, for example, or other objects and devices requiring continuous and/or repetitive manual operation. The shape memory polymeric material may conform to the shape of the user's hand when the handle is gripped by a user's hand. When the grip is released, the shape memory material returns to its original shape. The shape memory insulators provide insulation as well as improving comfort and/or control over the engagement and use of objects, while decreasing arm and hand wear and/or strain of those using the objects.

Abstract: A support device for use with paint containers with wire bail handles. The support device allows a user to safely and easily hang a paint container from the step of a ladder. The support device includes a ladder rung hook member attached to the upper portion of the device handle. The handle is attached to a body portion. The lower portion of the body contains a wire bail catch feature, and support wall that contacts the side of the paint container. The device supports a paint container in a downward angle to better facilitate user access to the contents of the paint container. The device quickly attaches to a paint container.

Abstract: A detachable handle for holding or carrying a paint can or other similar container having a bail provides multiple handgrip positions to allow full access to the opening of the container, while allowing for distortion of the bail. The design may accept containers of varying sizes and shapes and requires a minimum number of steps and effort to secure the device to the container. A detachable handle according to the invention may remain secured to the container when not actively in use by the user.

Abstract: A wire fry basket is made from an inverted, frusto-pyramidal-shaped wire-mesh basket having four, inclined wire mesh sides, a wire mesh bottom and an open top. The top edge of the wire mesh basket, inclined wire-mesh corners and its bottom, horizontally-oriented wire mesh corners are protected by a rigid wire frame. The inclined wire mesh corners formed by and between the wire mesh sides are only partially covered or protected by short, rigid wires that extend upwardly from the bottom wire frame. Using short, corner-protecting wires reduces the weight of the basket that would otherwise result from using full corner-length wires.

Abstract: The handle end portions are attached to the tray by separate connectors. The tray has spaced openings to receive the connectors. Each connector has an anchor-shaped section which is received in a tray opening and a section which engages a handle end portion. The anchor-shaped section has arms which flex to permit the connector to be received in the tray opening and thereafter return to their extended position to cooperate with the tray to securely attach the connector to the tray and prevent free rotation of the connector. The handle includes a base portion and a handle gripping portion that a user may grip to transport and use the dispenser. The handle is inserted within the body such that the entire handle, including the handle gripping portion, is within the body, thereby allowing the shaker dispenser to sit, if desired, on the end having the handle. The body includes indentations, or cut-aways, that allow the handle to be visible from at least one of: a front view, a side view, and a back view. A method of manufacture and use of a shaker dispenser is also described.

Abstract: A unique designed, larger handle for a pot lid extends a greater distance above the lid central surface than in prior lid handles. As a result, the larger pot lid handle provides to a user the ability to grasp the handle when the pot lid with handle oriented downward is resting on a surface without burning the users hand on the hot pot lid. When the pot lid with the new handle is placed on a flat surface with said handle extended toward and in contact with the surface, and a surface portion of the pot lid is in contact with said surface, this handle design results in the pot lid resting at a much greater angle to said surface than in state of the art pot lid handle designs.
