Abstract: A leakage containment device for containing leakage from an oil tank supplying oil to a heating system includes a container including a bottom wall and a perimeter wall being coupled to and extending upwardly from the bottom wall to define an interior space. An upper edge of the perimeter wall defines an upper open end of the container to permit an oil tank to be placed in the interior space. A lid is hingedly coupled to the upper edge of the perimeter wall. The lid selectively closes the upper open end of the container when the lid is in a closed position over the upper open end. The lid is pivoted away from the upper open end to permit access to the upper open end.

Abstract: A hinged lid for a food container is provided. The lid structure includes a rim with an attached cover member. The lid structure also includes a mounting structure for mounting the lid structure to a food container. A tamper evidence latch is provided to releasably secure the rim in a closed configuration overlying the open end of the food container. The rim engages an upper rolled lip of the food container sidewall when the lid structure is in a closed configuration.

Abstract: A description is given of a container for products such as surprise gifts or similar accessories, comprising two half-shells (2, 4) with a containing wall and a mouth (10, 12) capable of being joined mouth to mouth, fitting together at the front, to form a closed container. The two half-shells (2, 4) are hinged one to the other by hinge means (20) integral with the two half-shells, in such a way that one of the halfshells (2) can move with a snap action relative to the other half-shell (4) between a closed position of the container and an at least partially open position of the container.

Abstract: A media storage container has a latch that is movable between latched, unlatched, and storage positions. The latch is disposed inside the outer periphery of the container when the latch is in the storage position. A method of using the container includes the steps of moving the latch to the storage position for shipping the container and moving the latch from the storage position to the open position while the container is loaded with media.

Abstract: An adjustable seal that is kinematically linked to a container to provide a complete seal of the container opening and to allow easy access to contents therein. The seal includes a lid portion and a sealing means, as well as a lever and a yoke, which are kinematically linked together via a plurality of pivot points. The seal also comprises a spring system having a springfront, a spring rear, and a spring, and the spring system is likewise mechanically connected to the other components. Due to this kinematic linkage, the closure is moveable among different positions to provide various degrees of access to and from the container via the container opening. As a result, the sealing system of the present invention protects against spillage and splash by completely sealing the container opening, as well as provides easy access to the contents of the container.

The upper edges of one pair of opposed walls have a plurality of pin segments formed thereon along a hinge line and an edge of each of the lids has a plurality of generally U-shaped knuckles formed thereon along the hinge line with each knuckle having opposed sidewalls forming a slot having an opening at one end and a bearing portion at an opposite end which opens upwardly with respect to a top surface of the lid. When the lids are connected to the container body and rotated to a closed position, the slots of each knuckle face upwardly in a direction away from the top surface of the lid.

The latch member and the frame are each provided with one or more interengageable detents whereby when the closure member is in a closed position and the latch member is in the latched position the detents are engaged and prevent pivoting of the closure member. Movement of the latch member to the unlatched position causes the detents to disengage and permit pivoting of the closure member. The closure member is provided with a locking member for engaging the latch member to retain it against axial movement.

Each canister sealing surface cooperates with a corresponding one of the closure sealing surfaces to form a plurality of partial seals. At least one of the partial seals includes a micro-bead surface comprising one or more small, inwardly directed, narrowly spaced-apart, micro-bead elements. The package that includes a moisture retention seal of the present invention employs only molded parts and does not require gaskets or secondary seals.

The reverse tapered seal depends from a lid of a flip-top closure providing a sealing engagement with a dispensing spout of the flip-top closure body when in a closed position. As the dispensing spout may have a variety of shapes, the reverse tapered seal is shaped to conform to the irregularities of the contacted surfaces of the dispensing spout. The decreasing thickness of the reverse tapered seal decreases the complexity of the molding process as well as minimizing the weakening or breaking of the seal during removal from the mold cavity.

Each of connecting member is formed at both sides of the door to receive a force of opening the door, with the locking device released. A resilient member rotates the rotary member to move the connecting member, thereby opening the door. A damper member facilitates to open the door with an even speed.

The truck bed toolbox lid includes an outer metallic sheet layer comprising a generally rectangular top sheet member, a longitudinal front edge member, two lateral edge members and a longitudinal rear edge member. A metallic liner sheet member is disposed inside the top sheet member in edge contact abutment with beveled inside edges of the front and rear longitudinal edge members and the lateral edge members to create an internal cavity in which the liner is by stitch welding. One or more injection ports are provided through the liner sheet member through which a self-expanding and self-curing, relatively high-density, foam is injected. The stitch welded edge contacts leave non-welded, gas permeable junctions along the wedged cavity periphery at a funneled apex of the edge contacted boundary which facilitate expansion of the foam toward the outermost edges of the cavity.

A spout cover on an underside surface of the cap portion of the closure receives a spout portion on a body portion of the closure about the orifice. A snap hinge couples the cap and body. An interior surface of the spout cover forms a sealing contact with an exterior surface of the spout to form an outside seal that does not become contaminated upon dispensing of the contents of the container. An annular seal extending downwardly from a base portion of the closure seals the head-space within the closure to present vapor infiltration and condensation in the head-space. A mold for forming the closure is also disclosed. The spout may be formed such that its sidewalls outwardly bulge upon molding, but upon cooling become substantially parallel.

Abstract: A container cap assembly comprises a one-piece integrally molded annular cap body hinged to a one-piece integrally molded lid. The cap body has a lower section with internal female threads for cooperation with matching male threads on a container and an annular upwardly extending flange. The lid has a downwardly extending flange. The flanges have interlocking sealing surfaces which extend outwardly at an acute angle to the vertical so that the lid flange will snap over the cap body flange in the closing mode and retain the lid in a closed and sealed position relative to the cap body until the lid is forced upwardly.

The closure member (10) is provided with a locking member (22) for engaging the latch member (28) to retain it against axial movement.

To nest multiple containers one within another, the lid is removed from the side wall, folded 180° about its hinge, rotated 90° and placed in the bottom of the container. Another container is then placed in the container and the process is repeated.

The lid may be hingedly attached to the container so as to remain attached to the jar after opening. The container provides protection for the viscous dressing product during packaging, shipping, handling, retail display and consumer use, and also makes the viscous dressing readily accessible to the consumer. The container preferably includes a shelf or wiper on the closure to permit the consumer to swipe a serving utensil on the shelf to remove excess viscous dressing product from the utensil. The jar is preferably provided with improved handling characteristics as compared with prior art jars of circular cross section. In the preferred embodiments, the shape of the jar as viewed in plan is generally oval.
