  • Patent number: 11793616
Abstract: A refillable dispenser including a housing and a cover. The housing can include an internal cavity, an activation mechanism cavity separate from the internal cavity, and a multi-state actuator structured to alternate between compressed and extended positions. The internal cavity can be structured and configured to house individual products in a stacked orientation, and the activation mechanism cavity can house the multi-state actuator. The cover can include an open bottom and can fit over and around the housing. By pushing the cover down, the user activates the multi-state actuator and causes it to extend, which pushes the cover up and causes a bottom portion of the housing to be exposed so that the user can remove one product at a time. The dispenser can be mirrored about a vertical or horizontal plane to allow it to dispense from either end, thereby making the dispenser ambidextrous.

Abstract: A multicarton pack which can be easily separated into individual cartons, without destroying the integrity of any of the cartons in the pack. Cartons may have an improved dispenser at one end of the carton, which preserves the integrity of the carton when the carton is opened by permitting a bottom end flap attached to the bottom panel to remain in place and also a portion of each side end flap that is adjacent to the bottom end flap. The dispenser may also provide a safety net for the first container that is automatically dispensed when the carton is opened. This is achieved by a novel method of providing a pattern of cuts in adjoining side walls of the cartons and for the cartons to be glued together by gluing the cuts on one of the adjoining side walls. The location of glue spots and their size and number are sufficient to maintain the pack together but yet allow the cartons to be separated without destroying the integrity of the panels glued together.

Abstract: A dual chamber-child-resistant blister package is provided. The blisters of the package include a storage chamber and a discharge chamber. In addition, the blister includes restraint means for preventing the medicament from moving from the storage chamber to the discharge chamber until a predetermined force is applied to the blister package. The medicament may not be dispensed directly from the storage chamber, since a nonrupturable layer is located adjacent the storage chamber of the blister. The nonrupturable layer includes an opening, or a mechanism such as a score line for forming and opening) through which the medicament can pass adjacent the discharge chamber. A rupturable layer is also provided to seal the medicament within the blister. Typically, the rupturable layer is located adjacent the nonrupturable layer to seal the opening in the nonrupturable layer. The blister package may also include indicia associated with the blisters to help insure compliance with complex therapeutic regimens.

  • Patent number: 5320215
Abstract: An inventory of pharmaceutical vials is kept in an inexpensive manner by providing a plurality of stackable cartons stacked in a neat array and each having a front access panel which opens to form an access window to allow access to remove vials from the interior of one of the respective cartons. The cartons having indicia indicating the type and size of vials stored therein. The preferred cartons are in the shape of a box having a hinged access panel die cut into the carton providing an access window or opening on its face. The window allows access by hand into the contents of a plastic bag within the carton. When the access panel is open, portions of the plastic bag may be draped out from the opening to allow easy access to the contents of the bag. The plastic bag and its contents are originally placed within the carton through end flaps located either adjacent or opposite the face of a carton. Upon placing the contents into the carton, the top end flaps may be closed and permanently sealed.

  • Patent number: 5199601
Abstract: An apparatus for storing a supply of cup-shaped elements such as containers in a stacked, telescopically interfitted relationship comprises a tubular housing with a resilient diaphragm across the lower end. The diaphragm has a center opening through which the lowermost container extends. The diaphragm acts to retain the stack in the housing while permitting the lowermost container to be withdrawn. In one form, the diaphragm comprises a unitary piece of resilient, elastomeric material with the diaphragm having a resistance to elongation in directions circumferentially of the opening which increases progressively radially outwardly of the opening. In another form, the diaphragm includes integral fingers which extend radially inward of the opening. The fingers each decrease in width and thickness in the radial inward direction and may include a transverse rib on their inner surface to engage the lowermost container in the stack.
