Abstract: A container for holding a collapsible food pouch that includes a hard-plastic bottom segment forming an elongated concave dish and a rotatably attached top segment. The top end of the bottom segment and optionally the top end of the top segment has a slot sized to receive a plastic discharge tube of the collapsible food pouch such that when the pouch's pliant material is placed below the top end, the discharge port of the pouch is positioned outside the top end of hard-plastic bottom segment. When the top segment is rotated closed, the top segment engages the plastic neck to hold it within the slot. The top segment may have two doors. A loop of hard plastic may serve as a tethering point and a lock may lock the container closed. Vent holes permit entry of air into the container.

  • Patent number: 8870093
Abstract: A pneumatic dispenser for dispensing viscous material, for example, mastic caulk, from a container is described. The dispenser comprises a fluid supply arrangement for accepting a dispensing nozzle of the container and providing a flow of pressurized fluid to the dispensing nozzle to enable the material to be dispensed as a spray. A moveable member can be used to control the flow of pressurized fluid, for example a member disposed on a cap for closing a container containing compartment of the dispenser and/or a moveable member disposed around the dispensing nozzle. The arrangement of the fluid supply arrangement allows for convenient control of the pressurized fluid flow for spraying the material. Also disclosed is a dispenser with a readily exchangeable pressure application interface for applying a dispensing pressure to the container, enabling the dispenser to be used with both cartridge and foil pack containers.

Abstract: A material pressure feeding apparatus 10 includes a container 12 for receiving a bag 11, in which a viscous material M is contained, a press member 13 exerting a pressing force on the material, a pressure feeder 15 pressure-feeding, to the outside, the material M sucked by the pressing force by the press member 13, and an annular member 16 positioned on the outer peripheral side of the press member 13. The press member 13 has a supporting space S on the outer peripheral side thereof, and a ring portion 40 constituting an annular member 16 is supported in the supporting space S in a relatively movable state. Thus, even when the press member 13 is inclined, the annular member 16 is configured so as not to form a clearance between it and the inner peripheral surface of the container 12 without any influence of the inclination.

Abstract: The presently disclosed subject matter is a novel adaptation of a pouch that enables the measurement and dispensing of unit doses of flowable products. Particularly, the pouch comprises a storage compartment that houses a flowable product prior to dispensing. The pouch further includes a dispensing compartment comprising a support member with a fitment to accommodate dispensing out of the pouch. The support member can function to support the pouch, such as for use as a handle or gripping area. Further, the support member allows the structural integrity of the pouch to remain intact. The pouch further includes a dividing seal comprising a one-way channel that facilitates the movement of flowable product from the storage compartment to the dispensing compartment so that dispensing and/or metering can occur.

Abstract: At least one embodiment of the invention relates to a container for a product for dispensing, including a relatively stiff outer container having at least one dispensing opening, and a deformable inner container to be filled with the product which is accommodated in the outer container and which likewise has a dispensing opening. The inner container is connected to the outer container both in the vicinity of the dispensing opening and at least at one location remote therefrom. The connection is formed in that the outer container has an opening through which protrudes at least one fixing element connected to the inner container. This fixing element is pin-like and has an end part of which the dimensions are larger than those of the opening. At least one embodiment of the invention further relates to a method for manufacturing such a container.

  • Patent number: 8844774
Abstract: A bag-in-bag-in-bottle assembly formed by a flexible dispensing container with a dispensing fitment. The dispensing container is positioned adjacent or sandwiched between one or more flexible pressurization containers having a separate inlet/outlet path through a second fitment. The bag-in-bag assembly can then be placed in a containment vessel with the fitments mounted such that it is accessible on the vessel. A liquid can be extracted from the dispensing container by introducing a fluid into the pressurization container(s) with enough pressure to force the liquid out through the dispensing fitment. A contoured dispensing head may be coupled to the bag-in-bag-in-bottle assembly using a earn actuation arrangement for simultaneously locking the pressurization, vent and fluid extraction couplings.
