With Piston Or Pulsator Holding Means Patents (Class 222/402)
  • Patent number: 4186783
Abstract: A pressurizable container adapted to spray liquids such as chemical pesticides onto a surface in combination with apparatus to inject a pre-measured quantity of chemical into the container. The injection apparatus comprises a tubular body detachably connected to the container, a cartridge containing a measured quantity of liquid chemical positioned in the tubular body, and a plunger movable through the tubular body to force the liquid chemical from the cartridge. The cartridge contains a piston at one end to be acted on by the plunger arranged to force the premeasured liquid through a valve at the other end into the container.

  • Patent number: 4154401
Abstract: A pesticide spraying unit is pressurized with compressed air through an air filler one way check valve of the type having a non-puncturing depressible stem. The check valve is preferably affixed to an adapter which can be inserted between the cap and tank of the spraying unit. A pressure relief valve and a pressure gauge may also be affixed to the adapter. Optionally, a puncturing type of gas cartridge charging device may be affixed to the adapter. The spray unit includes a manual pump, and the air filler check valve and the gas cartridge charging device provide alternatives for charging the tank of the spray unit with compressed gas.

  • Patent number: 4106392
Abstract: A hand-operated pump includes a cylinder and a reciprocating plunger. The plunger is made from plastic and includes a piston, a stem and an enlarged hand grip which are all molded integrally with one another so as to form a one-piece unit. The end of the cylinder is closed by a pair of separable caps which are adapted to be slipped sidewise onto the plunger and attached to the cylinder after the plunger has been assembled with the cylinder.

  • Patent number: 4077442
Abstract: An arrangement in liquid sprayer containers designed to form an excess pressure inside the containers so as to allow the liquid contained therein to be discharged through a nozzle in the form of a spray. The arrangement inclues a head provided with a manually operable valve mechanism. The nozzle is in communication with the valve mechanism and arranged, upon opening of the valve, to discharge the liquid in atomized form. A cap encloses the head and when forced downwards it compresses the air in the space enclosed by the cap, whereby the valve opens a passage allowing the excess pressure to propagate into the container. Upon elimination of the excess pressure the valve mechanism again closes the passage.

  • Patent number: 3998361
Abstract: A hollow, cylindrical, vertically elongated body has an open top and a closed bottom. A cap is detachably securable to the top of the body to seal the interior to a spray dispenser with a spray head is located in the cap. A manually operable pump is attached to the body so as to allow the contents of the body to be pressurized. A protective hood is attached to the cap, and surrounds the dispenser head, so as to prevent the dispenser from being accidentally operated.
