    Abstract: A backpack assembly includes a pack configured to be worn on a wearer's back. The backpack assembly also includes straps coupled to the pack and configured to extend over the wearer's chest. The straps include at least one first side strap and at least one second side strap. The backpack assembly also includes a strap retainer. The strap retainer includes a closed loop on a first side of the strap retainer and an open loop on a second side of the strap retainer. The at least one first side strap is slidably retained within the closed loop and the at least one second side strap is slidably retained within the open loop. The open loop also includes a side opening through which the at least one second side straps can be inserted and removed.

    Abstract: The present invention is generally directed to a pack, such as a backpack or daypack, that is customizable in size, functionality and features, and appearance. The pack has two physically separate portions, the front of the pack and the back of the pack, that are releasably connected together to form the pack and an accessible space therein. An optional middle portion or expandable panel can be added between the front and back portions to further expand the size of the accessible space. The pack can be customized through the selection of material and design of the material, shoulder straps, a waist belt, a pull handle or cart and wheels, and detachable pockets of different sizes and shapes. The pack can also be personalized through the addition of various design elements. A pack system is also provided that allows complete customization of a pack and its features.

    Abstract: Golf bags and other shoulder borne devices have strapping systems capable of converting between a single strap configuration and a double strap configuration. The strapping system includes two main straps. In the double strap configuration, the first strap member has three ends, each of which is attached to a location on the golf bag (or other structure), and the second strap member has one free end attached to the golf bag (or other structure) and one free end attached to a central area of the first strap member. When converting to the single strap configuration, the first strap member is removed from the golf bag (or other structure) completely, and the free end of the second strap member that was attached to the first strap member is removed therefrom and engaged with the golf bag (or other structure).
