Abstract: A cooling backpack apparatus for keeping a wearer cool includes a backpack body a front side, a back side, a top side, a bottom side, a left side, and a right side. A pair of shoulder straps is coupled to the backpack body. Each shoulder strap of the pair of shoulder straps is coupled to the back side adjacent the top side and adjacent the bottom side. A plurality of back cold packs is coupled to the back side of the backpack body. Each back cold pack has a specific heat greater than that of water.

Abstract: A harness for quick attachment to and release from a golf bag is described that includes a plurality of interrelated weight shifting adjustments. The harness is easily coupled to a variety of golf bags to carry the bag in an approximately horizontal orientation. The harness is further easily adjusted to accommodate various statures of users.

Abstract: Provided is equipment for switching a suitcase into a backpack in which a strap is attached to the suitcase and a shoulder strap is attached to the strap, thus allowing the suitcase to be carried over the shoulders when moving on stairs, an uneven road or the like and consequently having convenience and safety when carried. The equipment includes a longitudinal strap wrapped around a longitudinal circumference of a central portion on an exterior of the suitcase; a transverse strap wrapped around a transverse circumference of a lower portion on the exterior of the suitcase to cross the longitudinal strap at a front surface and a rear surface of the suitcase; and a pair of shoulder straps detachably connected to the longitudinal strap and the transverse strap to allow the suitcase to be carried over a user's both shoulders.

The second comfort (300) plate is having at least one detachable massaging unit (310) and at least one length adaptable member (330) which is configured to control movement of the second comfort plate (300) along a longitudinal direction within the enclosure. The adjusting strap is configured to be carried by the locking strap adjuster and the non-locking strap adjuster. The shoulder strap is secured to the adjusting strap at a shoulder strap attachment point.

Abstract: A compression system for an ergonomic backpack is disclosed. The backpack includes a backpack body having a top side, a bottom side, two lateral sides, a body side, an outer side and a pair of shoulder straps. In the embodiment, each shoulder strap is connected at a junction of the top side and the body side, extended along the corresponding lateral side, threaded through the D-ring with a distal end connected to the backpack body at a junction of the outer side and the lateral side. The invention also comprises an optional back panel and an optional back support device, secured to the body side. The back panel and support device may be filled with padding material such as a gel, foam, rubber, fluid or the like. When the user ties the two straps, the backpack is automatically compressed and moves closer to the user's back. The system, operated like a regular two-strap backpack, allows the user to carry heavier loads for a longer period of time with less fatigue.

Abstract: The present invention provides in some embodiments, the first for purpose designed, low cost, easy to transport, ergonomically correct, water transport backpack and storage device for the least developed countries of the world. The backpack includes a carrier bag and a food-safe liner configured to be disposed within the carrier bag. The carrier bag includes handles and straps to enable the user to carry the bag comfortably for long distances. The carrier bag and the food-safe liner also include wide-mouthed tops for filling the backpack with water and can be rolled down and secured with ties, in order to keep the backpack closed. The food-safe liner includes a spout for dispensing the water. The backpack also includes a flattened bottom for positioning the backpack on a flat surface for storage. The components of the water backpack can be provided as a kit for local manufacture to provide jobs.

Abstract: Dual-strap carrying assemblies and devices including such assemblies are provided herein. The carrying devices may be embodied in dual carrying strap golf bags that allow the bearer to more easily don and remove the bag. The secondary strap of the dual strap assembly is connected to the primary strap by a movable engagement assembly, such as an assembly that rotates to allow the secondary strap to more easily become within the reach of the bearer of the bag. In some embodiments, the movable engagement assembly may include a movement limiting device that prevents the secondary strap from moving too far out of the bearer's reach. The strap assemblies may be used in combination with a flexible base stand to make a self-standing carrying device that is easy to don and doff.

The intermediate portion comprises of a sleeve to hold a portion of the recreational equipment, at least one intermediate strap to hold an intermediate portion of the recreational equipment, and at least one bottom strap to hold a bottom portion of the recreational equipment. The intermediate portion may be stored between the front container portion and the rear container portion when not in use.

Abstract: Disclosed is a fluid reservoir shell that provides protection for the fluid reservoir of a personal hydration system. The fluid reservoir shell is rigid and does not collapse easily under external pressure. The fluid reservoir shell is sized to contain the fluid reservoir but still fits in a personal hydration system pack. The shell protects the fluid reservoir and prevents the fluid reservoir from leaking due to excessive external pressure. The fluid reservoir shell disclosed includes a shell top piece and a shell bottom piece, which couple together to enclose the bladder of the fluid reservoir. The fluid reservoir shell provides ready access to the fill port and the drink tube of the fluid reservoir when the fluid reservoir is contained in the fluid reservoir shell.

Abstract: One exemplary embodiment is directed toward an apparatus for quick release of a pack from a vest of a user. The apparatus includes a pack having one or more first loops, and a retaining member configured to extend through the one or more first loops and one or more second loops on the vest, wherein the retaining member is configured to releasably attach the pack to the vest by mechanically coupling the one or more first loops and the one or more second loops to the retaining member, wherein the retaining member is configured to enable detaching of the pack from the vest by pulling of the retaining member from the one or more first loops and the one or more second loops.

Abstract: The present invention is generally directed to a pack, such as a backpack or daypack, that is customizable in size, functionality and features, and appearance. The pack has two physically separate portions, the front of the pack and the back of the pack, that are releasably connected together to form the pack and an accessible space therein. An optional middle portion or expandable panel can be added between the front and back portions to further expand the size of the accessible space. The pack can be customized through the selection of material and design of the material, shoulder straps, a waist belt, a pull handle or cart and wheels, and detachable pockets of different sizes and shapes. The pack can also be personalized through the addition of various design elements. A pack system is also provided that allows complete customization of a pack and its features.

Abstract: An embodiment of the present invention provides a backpack for wearing on a back of a user. The backpack includes at least one cargo compartment, two straps, and a frame. The cargo compartment is wider at a top end of the cargo compartment than at the bottom end. The frame has a first portion located adjacent to one side of the user's spine and a second portion located adjacent to the other side of the user's spine. The first and second portions are shaped to be complementary to the user's spine. Also, massaging beads are located in the frame and massage muscles on each side of the user's spine.

Abstract: Systems and methods for carrying a load on the back of a user and backpacks having a convex back panel are described. The convex back panel of the backpack may curve outward from the center of a wearer's back to minimize contact between the backpack and the wearer's back The backpack may also have a center-support panel for contacting the spinal region of the back of the wearer of the backpack. The center-support panel may have grooves for distributing a load along a wearer's back.

Abstract: A backpack for use in combination with a filter bag and a pneumatic sanding tool is described. The backpack comprises a backpack strap, a back panel, and an opening or a first mesh panel located in the back panel. The opening or the first mesh panel is positioned to direct exhaust air from the filter bag onto a person's back during use.

Abstract: System and method for carrying loads by a user are disclosed. According to embodiments of this invention a load is carried attached to the back of the user and concurrently vertically supported to the ground on supporting means. The system comprising means that allow vertical free movements of the load with respect to the user's back within a defined range so that the load substantially carried by the supporting means while providing stable attachment of the load to the user's back in two other linear axes of freedom and in all three circular axes of freedom. The supporting means includes means to adjust the support according to the user's height and to the grounds bumpiness.

When a user carries the dual shoulder strap side-carrying bag, the first shoulder strap portion and the second shoulder strap portion are respectively rested on the user's two shoulders.

Abstract: Golf bags and other shoulder borne devices have strapping systems capable of converting between a single strap configuration and a double strap configuration. The strapping system includes two main straps. In the double strap configuration, the first strap member has three ends, each of which is attached to a location on the golf bag (or other structure), and the second strap member has one free end attached to the golf bag (or other structure) and one free end attached to a central area of the first strap member. When converting to the single strap configuration, the first strap member is removed from the golf bag (or other structure) completely, and the free end of the second strap member that was attached to the first strap member is removed therefrom and engaged with the golf bag (or other structure).

The bag has a number of separate internally located compartments where each compartment can have a see thru mesh front panel which allows a user to see the contents of the compartment and allows air to circulate. A swing-around portion is formed as a storage compartment that is secured to the back portion in a carrying position. An articulated frame is secured to the back portion and the swing-around portion and allows a user wearing the backpack to pivot the swing around portion around the user's side and access the contents therein. A securing latch is used to secure the articulating frame to retain the swing-around portion in the carrying position. The entire storage compartment of the pack may be a swing-around portion, or the pack may include multiple storage compartments that are either fixed to the back portion or function as swing-around portions.

The backpack shell is reversible through an access opening thereinto, such that either of the first and second surfaces is selectable as the exterior of the bag. Abstract: A cart attachment for a backpack is described which includes a flap coupled to an upper back of a backpack. The cart attachment also includes a pair of hooks and loops strips to engage and disengage the flap. The cart attachment has two positions. In the first position, the flap is opened. In the second position, the flap is securely closed to accommodate a detachable wheeled cart. A second cart attachment may also be provided on a bottom portion of the backpack.

The reinforced portion of the length-adjustable strap extends through a longitudinal aperture in the shoulder-engaging portion and an unreinforced portion of the strap is provided to extend in a loop around part of a tension-locked buckle.
