Abstract: A dispenser for flexible material, wherein the material is disposed in a roll in a housing having a dispensing opening therein, and the material is dispensed by pulling thereon to thereby rotate the roll in the housing, detents being afforded on the roll and housing that are effective to periodically releasably resist further dispensing rotation of the roll during each rotation of the roll.

Abstract: A toilet paper unrolling fixture adapted for simple attachment to a conventional toilet paper holder includes a frame, a paper guide over which the free end of a roll of toilet paper passes, and a tear bar for enabling the user to quickly tear a length of paper from the roll.

Abstract: A tape holder and dispenser for holding and dispensing tape comprises a cylindrical housing having a closed end with a spindle extending thereinto on which a roll of tape can be placed; said cylindrical housing having narrow slots on either side thereof for the free end of a roll of tape to extend therefrom. A tape lock is provided wherein an arcuate section can be moved over the outer surface of the housing to cover a narrow opening and place a force against the tape to hold it in place. A support means is provided on the back of the housing to mount it on a belt, or the like. Arcuate slots are provided on the bottom portions of the housing to provide for rolling back the tape by the use of a finger placed through the opening against the roll of tape. A cover plate is located on the open side of the cylindrical housing which can be snapped into place, and which has an opening therein to aid in removing the cover and viewing the interior of the cylindrical housing to determine the amount of tape left.

Abstract: A spool of thread, such as dental floss, is housed in a two-part shell or holder, preferably made of plastic. The floor on the bottom one of the shell parts includes a platform to provide a bearing surface for enabling rotation of the spool with a minimum of friction. The top of the upper shell part includes at least one finger which depends far enough to drag, with predetermined friction, against the top of the spool. This friction is sufficient to prevent a random unwinding of the spool and yet small enough to preclude any substantial impedance to the withdrawal of a desired amount of thread from the spool.

Abstract: A reel for ticket rolls is comprised of only five parts excluding conventional fasteners, namely, a base, a pair of guide posts mounted on the base to extend therefrom in spaced parallel relation, and a hub consisting of inner and outer tubes slidably fitted together, which hub is slidably mounted on the pair of guide posts for rotatably supporting a ticket roll.

Abstract: A novel tape dispenser especially useful in dispensing pressure-sensitive adhesive tape of the type having a plurality of longitudinally spaced zones which appreciably increase the force required to strip the tape from the roll compared to areas intermediate these zones. Features of the invention include: an adjustable blade on the dispenser frame, in one embodiment, which may set at desired distances from the roll to accommodate various dimensional characteristics of different tapes; a limiting structure for preventing the roll of tape from being pulled bodily out of the dispenser; and a unique arrangement for mounting and maintaining the tape such that the line of departure of tape from the roll is maintained in fixed position on the dispenser frame.In one embodiment the support means for the tape roll defines a path inclining downwardly toward a lip on the frame across which tape is drawn as it is stripped from the roll.
