Abstract: A carton structure is disclosed, which includes a side wall panel, a first end panel, a second end panel, a first lateral panel, and a second lateral panel. The first and second end panels are connected to the side wall panel, respectively. The first and second lateral panels extend outwardly from two opposite edges of the second end panel, wherein the first and second lateral panels are pressed by edges of the first end panel to abut the side wall panel such that the opening of the carton structure can be closed.

Abstract: A packaging container for containing an object includes a substantially square-shaped first sheet member and a substantially square-shaped second sheet member overlaid on one another and forming four sides. At least one of the four sides forms an opening from which the object can be inserted. The packaging container also includes a first flap adjacent to the first sheet member through a first fold line at the opening, including a first cover piece to cover one half of the opening when folded, and a second flap adjacent to the second sheet member through a second fold line at the opening, including a second cover piece to cover another half of the opening when folded. The first flap and the second flap are provided at the opening so as not to overlap each other, and the first cover piece and the second cover piece cover substantially all the opening when folded.

Abstract: A reclosable folding box of paperboard with at least one tamper-evident closure is provided, which comprises a cover flap with an insertion tab, wherein the closure of the folding box can be closed by machine without the need for gluing, and the closure can be opened only by destroying the tamper-evident closure. It is characterized in that it comprises, in the interior, retaining means and a tear-off tab connected to the insertion tab by way of a predetermined break line, and in that the closure is set up in such a way that, the first time the box is opened, the tear-off tab cooperates with the retaining means and is torn off at the predetermined break line when the insertion tab is moved beyond the tearing edge.

Abstract: A paper box or carton includes front, rear and side panels with the upper portions of the side panels being configured to deform inwardly when the upper portions of said front and rear panels are brought together. In this way, a holding area is created between an inside face of a side panel and an inside face of the front panel. This holding area decreases in size as the front and rear panels are brought closer together. Each of the front and rear panels includes a flap adjacent the top portion thereof which are positionable in the holding area as the front and rear panels are moved toward each other. The flaps include distal edges that interlock with each other to maintain the upper portion of the front and rear panels together to form a closed tapered top.

Abstract: A packaging box (10) includes a pair of lids (2, 3), and the pair of lids (2, 3) have tongues (2b, 3b) extending from their heads and lid gluing portions (2c, 3c) arranged in specific areas on the outer surfaces of these tongues (2b, 3b). A body (1) of the packaging box (10) has a pair of body gluing portions (1f, 1g) individually glued to the lid gluing portions (2c, 3c) and at least one transverse split-open portion (5) for guiding a fracture in a side face of the packaging box (10). Both open-side ends (1e) have side-end split-open portions (6, 7) arranged so as to surround the body gluing portions (1f, 1g). Thus, even if the tongues provided at the heads of the lids are glued to side plates, the packaging box can be easily and accurately split and spread.

Abstract: The embodiments of the present invention provide a blank foldable material that may be configured to form a container. When formed, the container is self-locking and includes top panel assemblies that form additional bearing surfaces. The blank is configured to form a container that includes corners having multiple thicknesses. However, despite the multiple thickness of the corner assemblies, the panels are only adhered in one location per corner. The single adhesion/corner arrangement provides a multi-wall corner arrangement that is strong, yet has flexible applications. The single adhesive/corner adds vertical stacking strength and lateral stability between the panels. The unique approach of only adhering at one place per corner is a space and cost saving improvement that maintains a container integrity and usefulness.

The locking mechanism is provided by an upper edge of the second panel being engaged by a top edge of the first panel. A push button provided on the second panel is used to disengage the locking mechanism.

Abstract: A box has an opening in at least one wall, behind which a lens insert is affixed, with graphics on the lens insert viewable through the opening. The lens produces a three-dimensional image of the graphics, and its placement behind the opening gives the impression that the contents of the box are being viewed through the opening. In a preferred embodiment, the opening and lens insert wrap around at least one corner of the box, enhancing the effect of the three-dimensional image.

Abstract: An easy-open folding carton having a manufacturer's joint in which two panels are joined by an adhesive. One of the two panels includes a plurality of punch scores. The other panel is coated with a coating and includes a plurality of uncoated “knock-outs” that are aligned with the punch scores. The adhesive is disposed between the two panels in alignment with the knock-outs and punch scores. The panel that includes the punch scores is preferably coated, except for an uncoated stripe that extends through the approximate center of the punch scores.

Abstract: A folding carton has a series of panels defining an internal space. A top closure flap is foldable over the top of the internal space. A top locking tab is connected to the top closure flap. The top locking tab is folded at angle for insertion into the internal space. A knob lock extends from either side of the top locking tab. The knob locks extend sufficiently from the top locking tab so that they form a frictional fit with the two of the side panels defining the internal space. A blank to form such a folding carton is also shown.

The locking flap has a free edge opposite to the fold line. The free edge is arcuate for at least a portion of its length. The arcuate portion is curved inwardly toward the locking flap fold line.

The tongue can be introduced into the box as the cover is closed and through the tongue an elongated window is provided, at and near which a hole is formed through the cover closure panel. Under the cover closure panel there are provided flaps which project from one or more main panels of the box. The flaps being folded and arranged under the closure panel as the related cover is closed. From at least one of the flaps there extends a hook shaped tooth which projects in the window and is locked therein. The tooth being separated by its respective flaps by way of a preset breakage line, so that the tooth operates as a seal element and is torn from the flap as the cover is opened. The presence of the tooth and accordingly the untampered condition of the box can be checked through the hole formed through the closure panel.

Abstract: An article of manufacture comprising an integrally molded plastic cup nestable with indentically formed plastic cups. The mouth of the cup is formed with a threaded portion and a circumferential lip portion therebeneath. The threaded portion may be matingly engaged with a threaded cap, or if desired, the threaded portion may be removed and the lip portion may be matingly engaged with a snap-on cap. Thus a cup with two alternative types of closure means may be manufactured from a single mold and a single inventory can be kept for orders of either type of closure. Air passage means are formed in a surface of the cup wall to permit air to flow therethrough when identical cups are nested thereby preventing difficulty in removing one cup from another due to air pressure differentials inside the nested cups created during storage temperature differentials and during separation of nested cups.

Abstract: A die cut blank of corrugated paperboard for forming a one-piece self-locking container for a product such as computer software items. Five panels forming the top, bottom and sides of the container are in line and flaps depend from either side of one of the side forming panel and each of the top and bottom forming panels. The flaps on the side forming panel include hinged locking flaps and the flaps on the top and bottom forming panels fold inwardly; the side flaps folding around them and being locked in place by the fifth panel engaging the locking flaps. The fold line for the flaps along one side of the blank are formed by serrated score lines rupturable for removal of the one end of the container providing a self supporting file holder for the software packet. A serrated thumb hole score is provided adjacent the fold line at the top (or bottom) of the container as access to enable tearing open and removal of the one end of the container.

The box forming portion is reversely folded upon itself in the knockdown position whereby the header portion and connected reversely folded box portion define an essentially flat insert which can be readily inserted between the pages of a periodical.The box forming portion is further prescored and/or die cut so that the same can be readily formed into a sealable box which can be readily separated from its header portion and used as a mailer or package for mailing various articles.

Abstract: A display package for swim goggles and the like comprises a transparent plastic container with a support therein for holding the goggles to be displayed. The support includes a generally trapezoidal foamed plastic insert and the straps of the goggles fit around the sides and back of the support to secure the goggles against the front thereof. The visible parts of the support may contain indicia identifying and/or describing the article displayed. The support has a front panel which is slanted rearwardly and its bottom extends forwardly to the bottom of the container on which the bottom of the goggles can rest. Owing to its construction, the package is substantially pilferproof in view of the time that it would take to remove the goggles from the package and the support.

Abstract: A multi-purpose carton and, more particularly, a folding paperboard carton incorporating content-identifying structure enabling identification of the carton contents without necessitating the opening of the carton. Moreover, also disclosed is a paperboard blank for forming the carton.

Abstract: A self-erecting end-loading top-dispensing container which is convertible from a substantially flattened configuration for shipping the empty container into an erected box-like configuration for loading product into the container and for shipping loaded containers. By removing a tear-away portion of the top panel, the container is convertible into a tray having an open top for dispensing product. Connecting webs join the end closures of the container to the front and rear side walls, preserving the structural integrity of the container when the removable top is torn away.

Abstract: This relates to tamper resistant cartons wherein the outermost closure flap is provided with a sealing flap of which at least a portion functions as a tuck flap and which tuck flap passes between a front panel and a terminal inner panel with a tuck flap portion being bonded on its inner surface to the outer surface of the inner terminal panel in an inaccessible position whereby the carton cannot be opened without rupturing the same to the extent that tampering would be apparent.
