Abstract: A reusable shipping box system and methods are provided. The reusable shipping box system includes a shipping box including a rectangular sheet of material including a first planer surface and a second planer surface. The first planer surface can include a first herringbone pattern of half cut and full cut incisions and the second planer surface can include a second herringbone pattern which is different from the first herringbone pattern. The rectangular sheet of material can be capable of collapsing into an elongated shaped parcel by way of the first and second herringbone patterns of half cut and full cut incisions. A shipping sleeve can define a cross-sectional shape and sized to be capable of sliding over the collapsed shipping box and securely hold the shipping box in the collapsed shape.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a composite container comprising a bottom film layer and a top film layer at least partially adhered to the bottom film layer. The top film layer is scored to form at least one resealable flap and at least one pull tab which is not adhered to the bottom film layer. The bottom film layer comprises at least one cavity opening. A cardboard layer is adhered on its lower surface to the upper surface of the top film layer, wherein the cardboard layer has at least one cavity opening which is substantially aligned with the scoring of the top film layer resealable flap and the cardboard layer is perforated to define a perimeter of at least one pull tab which is substantially aligned with and adhered, on its underside, to the upper surface of the top film layer pull tab.

The top portion can include a removable portion. The container can also include a flange defining an interior portion. The flange can be coupled to the top portion of the container body. The interior portion can be defined by the flange and surround the removable portion of the container body. The container can also include a frangible projecting tab extending from the flange into the interior portion of the flange and over the removable portion of the container body. The frangible projecting tab can be coupled to the removable portion of the container body. The container body can further include a lid coupled to the flange.

The construct may be erected by folding end panels of the construct towards one another and optionally securing the panels in the folded position. The construct may be formed from a blank. The construct and/or blank may include a removable portion at least partially defined by a line of disruption.

Abstract: A carton including a back panel and a bottom panel is provided. The back panel is foldably connected along a first fold line to a first accordion panel and a second accordion panel is foldably connected along a second fold line to the first accordion panel. The back panel, the first accordion panel, and the second accordion panel are movable between a first position and a second position. In the first position, the first accordion panel and the second accordion panel are substantially parallel to the back panel and are substantially perpendicular to the bottom panel. In the second position, the back panel moves toward the bottom panel, the second accordion panel is substantially parallel the bottom panel, and the first accordion panel is disposed diagonally between the second fold line and the back panel. Articles in the carton thus can be slanted toward the back panel in the second position.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to a carton for a diagonally cut sandwich or like foodstuff formed from a blank of card and having triangular end walls connected by rectangular side walls to form a triangular prism-shaped container. One side wall of the container is hinged to another wall of the container to provide an opening for insertion/removal of foodstuff and to form a lid for closing the opening. The edges of the opening have out-turned flanges and the periphery of the lid overlies the out-turned flanges encircling the opening when the lid is in the closed position whereby the lid can be bonded to the flanges to seal the contents of the carton.

Abstract: A carton for packaging articles arranged in rows, includes a top panel (16/66), side panels (12/14, 18/20), a bottom panel (10/22) and an integral tear-open access feature (16/62/66) provided by the top panel and one of the side panels to gain access to the contents. The tear-open access feature is hingedly connected to the carton. When the carton is placed on the other side panel (18/20), the tear open access feature is foldable to be disposed in part in contact with the other side panel and in part spaced from the other side panel to provides a platform structure for enhancing the stability of the carton.

Abstract: A link chain for use in the continuously variable transmission of the power train in a motor vehicle is assembled of pairs of composite identical or dissimilar links each having a stack of apertured plates, and of coupling units employing pairs of non-circular pins extending through registering portions of apertures in the respective stacks of plates. The pins are designed to cooperate with the plates to limit the extend of inward and outward pivotability of links of the respective pairs from positions of alignment, and the pins carry stops which act alone or cooperate with diaphragm springs or with other types of springs to prevent wobbling of the plates. The plates can be provided with projections which cooperate with the pins to limit the extent of pivotability of the pairs of links relative to each other and/or to prevent jamming of pairs of links in angular positions from which they cannot return to the positions of alignment. Each plate is traversed by two pairs of pins.

Abstract: In single-wall corrugated paperboard comprising corrugating medium joined on both sides to two liners and a tear line along which the corrugated paperboard can be torn open, the two liners are severed directly opposite each other, whilst the corrugating medium has no incision, or merely in the region of of the flute peaks, the tear line being configured straight or curved. This system results in the structural integrity of the corrugated paperboard being hardly detrimented. In the tearing open action the cut liners act as knife edges which cleanly sever the corrugating medium at the defined locations, producing neat cut edges of pleasing visual appeal.

Abstract: A carton is provided having a door that is shiftable from a closed position to an open position to permit access to an interior of the carton. The door includes a gripping tab for opening the door. The gripping tab is restricted from movement by a blocking member prior to the initial shifting of the door from the closed position to the open position. Upon sufficient movement of the gripping tab, the blocking member is removable to permit shifting of the door from the closed position to the open position, thereby permitting access to the interior of the carton.

Abstract: A carton is provided having a door that is shiftable from a closed position to an open position to permit access to an interior of the carton. The door includes a gripping tab for opening the door. The gripping tab is restricted from movement by a blocking member prior to the initial shifting of the door from the closed position to the open position. Upon sufficient movement of the gripping tab, the blocking member is removable to permit shifting of the door from the closed position to the open position, thereby permitting access to the interior of the carton.

Abstract: A package cover for packaging a lens-fitted photo film unit includes two side sheets covering two side faces of the lens-fitted photo film unit and an outer sheet covering front, rear, top and bottom faces thereof. The outer sheet is provided with edge portions formed of a plastic sheet which has heat-shrinkable property. After the side sheets are adhered to the lens-fitted photo film unit, the outer sheet is wrapped around it. The edge portions are shrunken by blowing a hot air thereon and fixedly stuck to edges of the side sheets.

Abstract: An easy-opening, liquid-tight package has an interior space for storage. The package includes a front wall, a rear wall opposing the front wall, a pair of opposing side walls, a bottom wall and a top wall opposing the bottom wall. A seal wall is contiguous with the top wall and extends from a juncture of the top wall and the seal wall. The seal wall has an edge that is opposite the juncture. The seal wall is sealed to the front wall at an exterior surface of the front wall. At least one line of weakness is formed in the top wall, extending from the seal wall at the edge into the top wall. The line of weakness defines a cover portion of the top wall. The cover portion is formed from a portion of the seal wall and a portion of the top wall. When the top wall and seal wall are separated along the line of weakness, the cover portion is separable from the package to define an open area for accessing the interior storage space of the package. A blank for the package is also disclosed.

Abstract: The present invention provides a three dimensional package which includes a front wall, a back wall, a plurality of side walls, and a bottom wall. The bottom wall and the plurality of side walls join the front wall to the back wall in a spaced, generally parallel relationship. A lid is provided having a front wall lid portion, a tapered portion configured for covering the notched opening, and a tab configured for being gripped by a user. The lid is hinged to the front wall along a marking or hinge line. When the package is in a closed position, the tab engages in a slit in the notched wall.

Abstract: The invention provides a food packaging system for a meal kit that includes a novel outer carton with a moveable cover that provides a high impact display when opened. The cover includes a breakaway panel that is initially a part of the front wall, and provides a large printable area on its interior surface for communication with the customer, providing a billboard effect when the cover is opened. The opened packaging system also permits the viewing of one or more separate disposable single-use pouches containing one or more of the food components. In one embodiment, the front wall of the carton has a button formed therein immediately beneath the flap, or front portion of the cover. The button is inwardly displaceable so that a user may, by applying pressure to said button, insert a digit beneath a lower end of the flap and pull the lower end and outward, then progressively remove the flap from the front wall to provide visual and manual access to the meal component pouches through the front wall.

Abstract: This invention relates to an improved carton for smoking articles, which carton has a dispensing portion. The dispensing portion has a particular location in respect to the longitudinal margins of the carton and extends from a position short of one longitudinal side margin of the carton, across the panel thereof, through another longitudinal side margin of the carton and into another panel of the carton. The perforation line of the dispersion portion is particularly selected to provide added strength to the carton and to allow consequent economies in other enclosed packing materials.

Abstract: The invention comprises a container, preferably of paperboard or other packaging materials, with an easy open feature including an opening tab in a wall or panel of the container for providing a dispensing aperture in the container. The opening tab is formed by a first cut line located in the inner surface of a wall or panel of the container and a second cut line located in the outer surface of the wall or panel container, offset a predetermined distance from the first cut line. The first and second cut lines create a frangible area in the wall or panel, which allows the opening tab to separate from the container wall. The frangible area further is provided with restraining portions to control and resist the inadvertent or unexpected separation of all or part of the tab from the container wall.

Abstract: A container for solids or liquids is formed to have two walls which converge and meet at the apex thereof. A container opening is formed at the apex. Each of the walls converging at the apex is extended beyond the apex to form a flap or spout hingedly connected to the container at its apex. The contents may be sealed in the container by making the flap or spout to be an enclosed triangular shape and/or by sealing the flap or spout against one of the converging walls. Thus, access to the contents of the container requires either that the triangular spout or flap be cut, and/or that it be unsealed from the wall. The container may be resealed by applying a plastic clip to the folded flap or spout and/or by providing a reusable fastening to selectively retain the flap or spout against one of the converging walls. The container has a triangular configuration at its apex. This configuration may be continued throughout the whole of the container or it may be provided at its upper portion only.

A closure layer is formed in the first side wall and is adhered to the plug. The closure layer and the plug form the pour spout closure. The pour spout closure is pivotally coupled to the first side wall for movement between closed and open positions. The plug is detachably linked to a remainder of the backboard. The plug is linked to the backboard when the pour spout closure is initially in the closed position.

The tab element and removable lid portion are formed by spaced apart, partial depth cut lines located on the inner and outer surfaces of the top panel and the side panel.

Abstract: A fin-sealed, flat-topped, liquid-packaging carton with substantially triangular flaps of its tope end closure turned down and tacked to adjacent body panels has the horizontal part of its fin heat and pressure adhered to the top wall along approximately only that half of its length further from the triangular flap which will provide a pouring spout so that turning upwards of the spout end of the fin from its position flat against the top wall tends to pull upwards the central part of the top wall. Abstract: A package for either conventional oven or microwave heating of refrigerated or frozen foodstuffs includes an outer paperboard container and an inner food carrying tray or dish. The bottom of the plastic tray rests on the container bottom. The dish is flanged, the flange provided with one or more ears extending downwardly and sandwiched between container side walls. The dish flange is polygonal, having one or more edges abutting respective one or more interior walls of the container. A portion of the top cover of the container is removed by ripping along tear lines. The tear or ripping lines yield four triangular corner sections on the remaining, unripped container top cover, these sections overlying portions of the tray flange. This arrangement prevents the tray from being removed from the container through the top cover access opening defined upon ripping.

Abstract: A carton blank and carton have a reclosable hinged flap formed from a panel and glue flap of the carton. The flap is opened by depressing a disengaging tab formed in another panel of the carton. The disengaging tab overlies a portion of the flap so that depression of the tab moves the flap to separate the flap from the remainder of the panel in which it is formed. Fifty-percent cuts through the carton panels are used to separate the flaps from the panels.

The pour spout further includes a backboard hingedly connected to the upper minor flap and adhered to an inner surface of the first side wall. The backboard partially overlaps the spout body.

Abstract: A lined dispensing carton with a sift-resiatant dispensing opening in a side wall of the carton that is covered by a hinged reclosable flap that can be folded and inserted into the carton for cooperation with a portion of a carton liner to render that carton relatively sift-resistant upon reclosure.

Abstract: A tray-lid assembly comprises a tray and a lid. The tray includes a bottom panel, a continuous wall panel, and a continuous rim. The continuous wall panel encompasses the bottom panel and extends upwardly from the bottom panel. The continuous rim encompasses an upper edge of the continuous wall panel and projects laterally outwardly therefrom. The lid includes an upper surface and a lower surface. The lower surface of the lid is detachably connected to the continuous rim. The lid has a first inside cut score formed in the lower surface of the lid. The lid has an outside cut score formed in the upper surface of the lid. The outside cut score bridges the periphery of the lid at two points to divide the lid into a main section and a relatively small corner tab. The first inside cut score and the outside cut score are generally parallel and in proximity to each other.

Abstract: A substantially sift proof pouring spout is provided by cooperating interior and exterior pouring spout components formed by partial throughcuts, edges or lines of perforations. The exterior spout component is split to form an automatic supplemental side wing, includes an integral inward travel stop tab, and is releasably connected to a tamper evidence tab. The invention encompasses a single-piece flat blank for forming the spout and a carton with which it is integrated. The inward travel stop tab and tamper evidence tab are defined at least in part by the partial cuts and resultant delamination areas.

Abstract: A carton with an opening feature that includes a securing flap having a detachable center portion foldably joined to a detachable section of a top wall panel and being congruent with and adhesively secured to a detachable portion of the carton front wall panel, whereby the securing flap and carton front wall detachable portions can be pushed into the carton and then lifted to open the carton by separating the top wall center portion from the remainder of the carton top wall.

Abstract: In the present invention, a portion of the outer surface of a wrapper of film unit with lens is previously constructed in a manner capable of being peeled therefrom. When the portion of the surface is removed, such as a photographic objective and a finder of the film unit with lens are exposed. Thus, photographing is possible in the state where the film unit with lens is covered with the wrapper, thereby the wrapping is efficiently used. In the present invention, peeling portion capable of being peeled may also be provided continuously through the front surface, the upper surface and the rear surface of the wrapper. When such peeling portion is peeled, the front surface of the peeling portion may be bent from the wrapper at a folding line, whereby a projecting piece may be inserted into between the peeling surface and a plane at the rear surface thereof.

Abstract: An eat-in paperboard container for frozen or refrigerated foodstuffs is provided with lateral flanges and triangular sections at its forward two corners. The package is opened by a tear strip which frees an edge of the top cover for lifting and access to the foodstuff. In use, the triangular sections rigidify the tray when the top cover is ripped up to open the container and when the consumer grasps one of the lateral flanges during eating out of the container.

Abstract: A one-piece carton formable into an enclosed container and suited to retain consumable contents therein. The carton blank is cut and scored to include a bottom wall panel, four side wall panels integral with the bottom wall panel along four side fold lines and foldable along the side fold lines to form container sides. Integral connections, which are foldable and sealable to form leak tight sealed integral corners, are provided between adjacent side wall panels. A lid wall panel is integral with a side wall panel and foldable inward toward the bottom wall panel. Cuts in the lid wall panel define a vent access section which can be manually removed from the lid wall panel along a predetermined vent separation path as a result of a manual venting procedure. The vent access section includes a grippable portion extending from an edge of the lid wall panel.

Abstract: A carton is disclosed having a reclosable pour spout formed in a top panel thereof. The pour spout being formed by cooperating portions of an upper minor flap, an exterior top panel and an interior top panel which cooperate to form the top panel of the carton. A portion of the interior top panel forming a central closure pane is formed by inside and outside cut scores formed in the interior top panel defining a ply separation region therebetween which extends from a lift tab to a hinge line formed in the interior top panel.

Abstract: A resealable dispensing container assembly for moist products comprises a first container of bag-like form constructed of liquid impervious flexible sheet material with the moist products sealed therein. The bag-like container has a weakened tear line encircling a first predetermined area on a first side thereof to permit selective removal of the predetermined area to define a discharge opening for removing moist products from the interior of the bag-like container. A removable flap member is adhered to the bag-like container in overlying and adhered relationship to the predetermined area such that pulling the flap from the bag-like container tears the first predetermined area therefrom to open the discharge opening. A second container of box-like form and constructed of relatively rigid sheet material encloses the bag-like container. The box-like container has a first wall closely overlying the first predetermined area of the bag-like container.

Abstract: A paperboard carton is disclosed which is constructed from a paperboard blank including a first panel having side walls connected thereto by scored fold lines formed between a respective side wall and a respective edge of the first panel. A second panel is provided having side walls connected thereto by scored fold lines formed between a respective side wall and a respective edge of the second panel with one of the side walls of the first panel and one of the side walls of the second panel being congruent. The second panel further includes an opening device formed therein for allowing access to the interior of a formed carton.

Abstract: A carton and blank for forming the same are disclosed and includes a bottom panel, a top panel, side walls extending substantially perpendicularly away from the bottom panel toward the top panel with the side walls being connected to the bottom panel about a periphery thereof, and overlapping side walls extending substantially perpendicularly away from the top panel toward the bottom panel from predetermined peripheral edges of the top panel. An opening device is formed in the top panel for permitting access to an interior of the carton with the opening device including an opening force receiving mechanism in the form of a lifting tab is integrally formed in one of the overlapping side walls of the top panel for providing an initiation point for the opening device.
