Abstract: A packaging carton for a food product is disclosed, where the carton includes a front face, a back face, two side faces, a top face and a bottom face, where these faces define an interior storage cavity, at least the back face of the packaging carton includes a perforation defining an opening flap and the opening flap may be permanently removed by separating the opening flap from a face or faces of the carton along the perforation to define an access opening that allows access to the interior storage cavity. A method of making a packaging carton for a food product is also disclosed.

Abstract: A carton for holding a product is disclosed. The carton comprises a plurality of panels that extends at least partially around an interior of the carton. The plurality of panels comprise a front panel, a back panel, a first side panel, and a second side panel. The carton further comprises a hinge in at least one of the plurality of panels and a reclosable lid pivotably attached to the carton. The reclosable lid comprises a first intermediate panel foldably connected to at least one of the plurality of panels and a second intermediate panel foldably connected to the first intermediate panel. The first intermediate panel is positioned in face-to-face contact with the second intermediate panel. The reclosable lid is pivotable at the hinge between a closed position preventing access to the interior of the carton and an open position allowing access to the interior of the carton.

Abstract: A reclosable carton (11) is provided which may contain objects nearly the size of the carton that can be readily dispensed and where the carton can be conveniently re-closed by a user. A specific pattern of tear lines on the top (17) and front (19) panels allows easy opening and re-closing and allows for a reduction in packaging material usage to save production costs. The reclosable carton design reduces the risk of tearing other areas of the carton and maintains its integrity when it is opened by a user.

Abstract: A carton includes a pivoting recloseable lid that is easy to open and recluse. The recloseable lid includes a breachable closure aperture section that can be adapted to receive a portion of a bag or other flexible container accommodated within the carton. When the lid is opened, the contents of the flexible container can be dispensed.

Abstract: A blank for forming a carton, the carton formed therefrom, and a closure for the carton are provided for enclosing a plurality of unbound elongate smoking articles. The blank includes a base sub-blank at the distal end which is folded to form an open top box and a lid sub-blank at the proximal end which is folded to form a top for the box. A movable lid sub-panel is formed in the lid sub-blank which is hingedly removable therefrom to open the top of the box and which is reclosable by use of a foldable member provided therein. After opening of the movable lid sub-panel, the foldable member is folded over to form an extending tab which is received in a weakening line provided in an underlying front panel of the carton when it is desired to hold the movable lid sub-panel in a closed position.

The package includes a front wall, a rear wall opposing the front wall, a pair of opposing side walls, a bottom wall and a top wall opposing the bottom wall. A seal wall is contiguous with the top wall and extends from a juncture of the top wall and the seal wall. The seal wall has an edge that is opposite the juncture. The seal wall is sealed to the front wall at an exterior surface of the front wall. At least one line of weakness is formed in the top wall, extending from the seal wall at the edge into the top wall. The line of weakness defines a cover portion of the top wall. The cover portion is formed from a portion of the seal wall and a portion of the top wall. When the top wall and seal wall are separated along the line of weakness, the cover portion is separable from the package to define an open area for accessing the interior storage space of the package. A blank for the package is also disclosed.

A seal is adhesively arranged over the dispensing aperture to minimize fluid evaporation and control foreign objects from contaminating the towelettes. The outer container is defined by top, bottom, front, rear and side walls, the top wall having an opening with left and right flanking panels, the opening of the container and dispensing aperture of the pouch being aligned to allow towelette removal. A lid is hingedly attached to the outer container which in a closed position overlies the opening and at least a portion of the flanking panels.

The bottom of the plastic tray rests on the container bottom. The dish is flanged, the flange provided with one or more ears extending downwardly and sandwiched between container side walls. The dish flange is polygonal, having one or more edges abutting respective one or more interior walls of the container. A portion of the top cover of the container is removed by ripping along tear lines. The tear or ripping lines yield four triangular corner sections on the remaining, unripped container top cover, these sections overlying portions of the tray flange. This arrangement prevents the tray from being removed from the container through the top cover access opening defined upon ripping.

Abstract: A carton for housing sheets, particularly dryer sheets. The dryer sheets are preferably stacked in a "U" shape and are removed via an access flap which may include 2 hinges and may be recloseable. The carton of the invention includes lines of weakness defining the recloseable access flap in top and front panels. Portions of the front panel lateral to the access flap are attached to an underlying panel or flap, so that when the access flap is separated from the front panel to open the carton, the lateral portions remain attached to the underlying flap or panel.

Abstract: An eat-in paperboard container for frozen or refrigerated foodstuffs is provided with lateral flanges and triangular sections at its forward two corners. The package is opened by a tear strip which frees an edge of the top cover for lifting and access to the foodstuff. In use, the triangular sections rigidify the tray when the top cover is ripped up to open the container and when the consumer grasps one of the lateral flanges during eating out of the container.

Abstract: In a first embodiment, a flip top container of partially irregular hexagonal transverse cross section is formed from a unitary blank of paperboard or other stiff, foldable and resilient sheet material. In a second embodiment of the container, another unitary blank of paperboard is employed to form a cigarette container having the same partially irregular hexagonal transverse cross sectional shape, except that a panel having tongue which is reclosable after opening is employed in lieu of a flip top closure.

Abstract: A folding box has a reclosable end flap opening on a side wall panel end which defines a seal identifying segment portion. The reclosable end flap covers the reclosable opening and has a bent over flap extension adjacent to the seal identifying segment. The box permits hand separation of the segment to break the seal of the box while allowing the reclosable flap to act as a reclosable portion after the seal is broken so that there is a visible indication that the seal is no longer intact.

Abstract: The present invention is an improved reclosable dispensing carton, particularly adapted for dispensing one or more flavors or kinds of small candy items. The generally tubular carton is rectangular, having front and rear walls, opposed side walls foldably attached to the front and rear walls, a closed bottom end and a reclosable top dispensing end. The dispensing end comprises a plurality of top closure flaps that are in close parallel relationship when the carton is fully closed. The top closure flaps include an inside major flap having stripped out or relieved areas along its free edge and an outside major flap foldably connected to the front wall of the carton and incorporating foldably connected, manipulable lift away cover tabs adapted to overly the relieved areas when the carton is closed. The lift tabs are provided with deflectable locks for locking and relocking the carton closed after it is initially opened.

Abstract: In accordance with the present invention, a reclosable package for receiving and holding a stack of flat articles, such as developed photographic prints, is provided. The package comprises an open-top, generally rectangular box having a length and height substantially greater than its thickness when erected. The carton includes a top closure panel having a generally free edge. One of a pair of sealing tabs is removably attached adjacent each of the ends of the free edge of the closure panel. A generally central reclosing tab is located along the free edge between the sealing tabs. The front panel of the package has a relieved access area cut out therefrom for facilitating access to the package contents. Additionally, the front panel includes a reclosure tab slit for receiving the reclosure tab so that the carton can be lockably reclosed. The invention also encompasses a flat blank for forming into the package.

The blank also includes opposing end panels connected to each of the side walls and the first and second panels with each of the end walls having at least one die cut edge.

Abstract: A packaging carton is provided with tear lines which define openings in alignment with a plurality of articles within the packaging carton so that individual articles can be removed from the packaging carton independently. Further, walls are provided between each article for positioning the article so that it is taken out only by opening the individual tear lines and the respective articles are prevented from moving within the carton.
