Abstract: A nozzle assembly for use in atomizing and generating sprays from a fluid. The nozzle assembly includes two members, each with generally planar surfaces, that are joined together. A first set of channels is formed in the generally planar surface of a first one of the members to form, in cooperation with the generally planar surface of the second of the members, a plurality of filter passageways. A plenum chamber is formed in the first member. The plenum chamber is in fluid communication with and downstream of the plurality of filter passageways. A second set of channels is formed in the generally planar surface of the first member to form, in cooperation with the generally planar surface of the second member, a plurality of nozzle outlet passageways. These nozzle outlet passageways are in fluid communication with the plenum chamber.

Abstract: A shower head assembly includes an outer housing, an inner housing, a catch cap, and an impeller. Thus, the catch cap catches the water flow and introduces the water flow through the water inlet hole into the air chamber so as to reduce the water flow rate, thereby achieving the purpose of saving water. In addition, the water flow is ejected outward in a radiating manner by rotation of the impeller, thereby providing a massaging effect to the user.

Abstract: A swirl nozzle assembly connected to a water supplying pipe. A main body has one end coupled to the water supplying pipe and the other end internally threaded to form a coupling part. A filter is positioned in an accommodating space which is defined inward of the coupling part of the main body, to filter foreign substances contained in the fire extinguishing water. A nozzle receiving element has one end coupled to the coupling part of the main body with the filter fixedly maintained inward of the coupling part, and the other end internally threaded to form a nozzle coupling part. The nozzle receiving element is defined with a water collecting chamber. A swirl nozzle is coupled to the nozzle coupling part of the nozzle receiving element and is structured to allow water droplets of a predetermined size to be sprayed at a predetermined scattering angle.

  • Patent number: 6732954
Abstract: A nozzle comprising a thin, flexible substantially planar polymeric film having a plurality of pores with structures allowing for generation of an aerosol at reduced extrusion pressure is disclosed. The pores can comprise at least two sections, or steps, in which the thickness of the membrane is reduced in stepwise fashion, or the pores can be tapered. Nozzles formed comprising pores having such structures permit aerosol generation at lower extrusion pressures, thereby allowing for decreased weight of aerosolization devices, increased efficiency, increased portability and increased battery life. The pore structures also allow for the use of thicker, more easily processed polymeric films in manufacturing while having a thinner, more efficient aerosolization area. The use of decreased extrusion pressures also results in increased uniformity in aerosol generation and improved reliability of other components.

  • Publication number: 20030025008
Abstract: Methods of generating pores in thin sheets of material, typically thin polymer films, are provided. The methods allow for generation of pores which uniformly penetrate the material. The method comprises laminating a thick film onto a thin film, then directing a laser source onto the thin film so as to form pores through the thin film. The increased stiffness conferred by the thick film reduces wrinkle formation in the thin film, resulting in uniform thickness of the thin film and consequent uniformity of pore depth. The invention further provides aerosolization containers and devices comprising membranes formed according to the invention.
