Abstract: A method for spraying a medium mist, particularly a medium mist used in firefighting, over a large area. In the method, at least two sprays of medium mist are formed, of which a first spray is within a second medium mist spray at least at or near the spraying point. During the formation of the sprays, the medium is set into a swirling motion at least before the discharge opening of the nozzle used to form each spray and/or at least before the sprays are mixed with each other. The swirling directions of the medium in different sprays are opposite to each other, whereby a preferably homogeneous mist spray spread over a large area is achieved.

  • Patent number: 8033531
Abstract: An apparatus for mixing a liquid with a large gas stream flowing in a gas duct, especially for introducing reducing agent into flue gas containing nitrogen oxides. At least one metering lance having at least two atomizer nozzles supplies liquid to the gas stream, with the nozzles being inclined relative to the direction of flow of the gas stream and being inclined in opposite directions relative to one another. At least one disk-shaped mixer element is associated with and spaced from the nozzles, and is inclined relative to the direction of flow of the gas stream. Flow eddies form at the mixer element, and at least a portion of the liquid enters the flow eddies. Atomization is effected in such a way by the mixer element that volatilized gaseous portions in the nozzle streams exiting the nozzles enter the flow eddies, while non-volatized droplet portions, due to their inertia and an atomizer angle, do not enter the flow eddies in the vicinity of the mixer element.

Abstract: An air spray gun is used to blow dry a painted surface of cold baked coating, wherein an air-taking ring in a shape of an annular air chamber is formed after screwing a front tube with a rear tube in the air spray gun, and a gap size of the air-taking ring can be changed by rotating the front tube, to control air blow rate as required. Through a position-limiting slot formed at the front tube, and a position-limiting element assembled at the rear tube, when the gap size of the air-taking ring is adjusted, the rotation of the front tube is properly restricted. In addition, by screwing the front tube with the rear tube, functions of disassembling and cleaning can be achieved.

  • Patent number: 7992809
Abstract: Provided is a manual air-actuated spray paint apparatus and associated method for evenly disbursing paint in a controlled manner. Such an apparatus preferably includes a portable reservoir for holding the paint therein and a hand-actuated paint applicator removably coupled thereto. A mechanism for simultaneously discharging a single stream of paint and a volume of air may also be included. A discharge spout is removably mated to and in fluid communication with the paint applicator for mixing the single paint stream and the volume of air as they pass through the spout. A trigger is pivotally mated to the housing and is articulated between tensioned and released positions to activate the paint discharging mechanism. When the trigger is engaged, the paint is directed upwardly out of the reservoir and travels out the discharge spout to be applied to the surface intended to receive the paint.

Abstract: A surface foam diffuser system having a first nozzle disposed above a top surface of the at least partially liquid contents, a splash plate positioned adjacent to the first nozzle outlet, and a second nozzle disposed below the top surface of the at least partially liquid contents is disclosed for suppressing foaming in large processing tanks. The system nozzles each have an inlet for receiving pressurized liquid and an outlet for ejecting a liquid stream into the tank, the depth of the second nozzle and the direction of the liquid stream there from being such that rotation of the top surface is facilitated. The spray of the first nozzle, as dispersed by the splash plate, reduces foam on at least a portion of the top surface, with the rotation of the top surface allowing each portion of the top surface to eventually fall within the reducing spray.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a device for introducing a liquid into a gas flow, more preferably for an exhaust system of an internal combustion engine. The device includes a chamber, an injection device and a channel. The channel with a circumferential region of an inlet section protrudes into the chamber and there on an inner side facing the gas flow has a surface. Said surface is arranged offset to the inside with respect to a channel profile. The proposed design results in improved evaporation of the liquid introduced into the gas flow.
