Conduit Or Nozzle Attached Irrigation-type Decelerator Patents (Class 239/542)
  • Patent number: 11937556
Abstract: Drip irrigation emitters having low activation pressures, desirable flow rates, and are configured to clog less than existing emitters are provided. The disclosed emitters include membrane cavities that are devoid of a channel and a land to help advance fluid through the cavity, to an outlet, and to an outside environment. Instead, the membrane cavities have various shapes and configurations that, in conjunction with a depressed membrane, help to drive fluid out of the membrane cavity and to an outside environment. The shapes of the membrane cavities include a sinusoidal configuration, a cylindrical shape configuration, and a flat bottom configuration. Various features of such emitters, and methods of using the same, are also provided.

  • Patent number: 10736278
Abstract: A drip irrigation emitter with an anticlogging attribute. In the case of multi season crops, the lifespan of the drip irrigation pipe and the installation as a whole must follow the life span of the crop itself. Commonly, drip irrigation installations sometime in their life span get clogged and are thus rendered unusable due to the clogging occurring in the drip irrigation emitters themselves. Despite the use of filtering systems for the irrigation water, objects/dirt of miniscule cross-sectional areas are carried with the water that cannot be filtered at the filtering systems, thus entering the drip irrigation pipe and reaching the labyrinths of the individual emitters. This issue is catastrophic for the cultivation as irrigation of the crop is not performed uniformly leading to lower yield and income loss and possibly leading to the total loss of the plantation and the unavoidable replacement of the drip irrigation pipes.

  • Patent number: 10440903
Abstract: An irrigation emitter and drip line, and methods relating to same, are provided for reducing the flow and pressure of fluid via an emitter or plurality of emitters defined by two concentric tubes. In one form, the first tube defines an emitter inlet and connected pressure-reducing flow channel and the second tube is extruded over the first tube to enclose the emitter inlet and flow channel and defines an outlet connected to an end of the flow channel opposite the inlet to create an emitter for converting fluid flowing at a high flow rate in the lumen and at the first end of the inlet to a fluid with a low flow rate at the outlet of the emitter. In another form, a drip line is provided having a plurality of such emitters. The emitters capable of being provided with pressure compensation structures to compensate or account for fluctuations in supply line fluid pressure and root growth inhibiting members. Various methods related to the emitter and drip line are also disclosed.

Abstract: Pressure-compensating emitter. The emitter includes an inlet connected to a source of pressurized water and an orifice in fluid communication with the inlet and extending into a channel including a raised land surrounding an outlet. A compliant membrane is positioned above the land in the chamber wherein pressurized water will cause the membrane to deform into contact with the land to alter flow through the outlet so as to provide a constant flow rate. Parameters of the emitter are selected so that the emitter has a large operating range and an activation pressure of 0.15 bar or below.

  • Patent number: 10356989
Abstract: An emitter (120) forms a flow path that runs to a discharge part (250) from an intake part (220) for receiving an irrigation liquid in a tube. The flow path includes a flow volume control part (240) which includes: an end surface (243) including a concave inclined surface that faces a film (300) for receiving the pressure of the liquid inside the tube; a hole (244) that opens at the center of the flow volume control part (240) and connects to the discharge part (250); and a groove (245) crossing the inclined surface and running to the hole (244). When the film (300) adheres to the inclined surface as a result of the pressure of the irrigation liquid inside the tube, the flow volume of the irrigation liquid inside the emitter (120) is controlled so as to be a volume that can pass through the groove (245).

  • Patent number: 10327396
Abstract: This emitter (120) includes a channel which spans to a recessed section (252), from an intake path (221) for receiving an irrigation liquid inside a tube. The channel includes an aperture (243) which is closed by a lid (244) disposed so as to not be in contact with a film (300). A groove is formed at the periphery of the aperture (243). When the film (300) is pressed as a result of the pressure of the irrigation liquid inside the tube, and the lid (244) closes the aperture (243), the flow rate of the irrigation liquid inside the emitter (120) is controlled so as to be the amount capable of passing through the groove. This flow-rate control continues until the pressure difference in the channel between a side upstream with respect to the lid (244) and a side downstream with respect to the lid (244) has been sufficiently reduced.

  • Patent number: 10299444
Abstract: A drip irrigation emitter may be provided with a coupler for bonding to an inner surface of a conduit. The emitter may include for example a button flow restrictor. The coupler may optionally provide an outlet zone on the conduit surface that is large enough for automated perforation. Bonding the emitter to the surface of the conduit may have a minimal effect on the dimensions and/or properties of the conduit. A button drip irrigation emitter may optionally include a two part labyrinth. The labyrinth may for example be confined between a cylindrical surface and a cover and/or wind between intermeshing baffles on the cover and/or the surface. In some embodiments the device may be formed using molding elements moving along a single axis.

  • Patent number: 10219452
Abstract: A drip irrigation emitter (1), which comprises a low pressure stop filter (5), a pressure reduction channel (8), and a diaphragm (10), is disposed on the inner wall surface of a flow pipe (3) through which the irrigation liquid flows. The low pressure stop filter (5) has a hydrophobic surface and prevents inflow of the irrigation liquid when the fluid pressure is lower than an established value. The pressure reduction channel (8) reduces the pressure of the irrigation liquid. The diaphragm (10) changes the degree of opening of the pressure reduction channel (8) according to the fluid pressure of the irrigation liquid. The drip irrigation emitter (1) can be manufactured at low cost as a result of being a one-piece molding. The drip irrigation device comprising the drip irrigation emitter (1) stably ejects the irrigation liquid even when the liquid pressure is low.

  • Patent number: 9883639
Abstract: This drip-irrigation device has plate-shaped inflow parts, an emission-rate control part, and a first groove section. The long direction of each inflow part is parallel to the lengthwise direction of a circulation tube that has a bottom surface joined to the inside surface thereof and a top surface opposite said bottom surface. The inflow parts are laid out on said top surface and cause an irrigation liquid inside the circulation tube to flow into channels. The emission-rate control part controls the rate with which said irrigation liquid is emitted, via the channels, from emission holes. The first groove section is formed as a recess in the aforementioned top surface, from one lengthwise end thereof towards the other lengthwise end, and is shaped such that the width and depth thereof gradually decrease with decreasing distance from said other lengthwise end.
