Pivoted Part Or Lever Patents (Class 24/170)
  • Patent number: 9307807
Abstract: A tie locking device includes a main body and a rotatable press cover. The main body includes a fixing section and at least one wall connected with the fixing section. The press cover has a pivoted end pivotally connected with a pivoted section of the main body. The pivoted end of the press cover and the pivoted section of the main body together define an inlet for a tie to enter the main body. A valve board is disposed on the main body and movable within the main body between a first position distal from the inlet and a second position proximal to the inlet. The valve board is formed with a toothed section. After the valve board is moved to the second position, the toothed section bites the tie and the press cover is pressed onto the main body to fix the valve board and the tie.

  • Patent number: 9266462
Abstract: A cam buckle frame includes a first roller aligned transversally across the frame proximate the free end of an operating lever of a web toothed locking cam. The roller directs the web in contact with the operating lever of the locking cam to provide a self-locking feature without requirement for a torsion spring. Other transverse posts and rollers may be included in the web clamp frame and the corresponding hook end of the tie-down to form a secured pulley arrangement to provide a multiplication of applied tension force. One end of the frame side-wall adjacent said first roller may form an integral hook assembly with a structural latch. An option is to have the frame closed out by connecting opposing walls with a section that provides a center port to allow attachment of various style hooks. A pivoting hook-end used to connect to soft hook loops is described.

  • Patent number: 9155360
Abstract: A belt buckle has a buckle body having an interior region for receiving a belt and a pivoting member that is pivotally attached to the buckle body. The pivoting member can pivot in a first direction to a first position and in a second, opposite direction to a second position. When the pivoting member is in the first position, the pivoting member contacts a section of belt within the buckle. When there is tension on the belt, the tension pulls the pivoting member downward so as to create firm and frictional contact between the pivoting member and the section of belt thereby preventing the belt from becoming loose. When the pivoting member is in the second position, the section of belt can be moved freely through the buckle in one direction to tighten the belt around the waist of a wearer or in an opposite direction to loosen the belt around the wearer's waist or withdraw the section of belt from the buckle.

Abstract: A lever latch/strap tie system that can include a screw-down lock mechanism that securely holds a brake plate against the strap. Generally, the strap-locking latch has a latch frame that receives a strap so that the strap lies flat against at least a portion of the latch frame. A locking lever engages the strap and presses a portion of the strap against the latch frame. A screw-down knob, or other locking knob abuts a braking plate where the braking plate is positioned above the strap. When the screw-down knob is tightened, it securely clamps the strap between the braking plate and the latch frame. The brake plate can contain at least one insert which contacts the strap when the screw-down clamp is tightened. This can be a grommet or other insert. • Patent number: 8418323
Abstract: A buckle includes a coupling block engaged with a body of swimming/diving goggles. A pressing block is mounted to an outer side of the coupling block. A pin is mounted to an inner side of the pressing block and has a spacing to a pressing edge of an insertion hole of the coupling block. The inner side of the pressing block includes first and second surfaces. A fulcrum is located between the first and second surfaces and abuts a pressing face on the outer side of the pressing block. A section of a head strap is received in the insertion hole and wound around the pin. The pressing block can be pivoted about the fulcrum to move the pin away from the pressing edge of the coupling block to increase the spacing between the pin and the pressing edge, allowing loosening of the head strap.

  • Patent number: 8387217
Abstract: A strap attachment device includes a main body with a lower body end that has an opening suited for a strap. Based on its position, a cam lever at the opening of the lower body end holds or releases the strap, permitting adjustment of the length of the strap that enters the opening. Extending upward from the lower body end is an upper body end that is curved into a hook or any other shape appropriate for connection to an object. A flexible or translatable gate may extend from the main body so as to prevent the upper body end from inadvertently becoming detached from the object. Slip-resistance on the upper body end resists slippage between the upper body end and the object during side-to-side movements. Ends of the strap may include a loop or handle or connect to other devices.

Abstract: A seat belt has an upper end mounted at the occupant shoulder and a lower end mounted adjacent the occupant lap. A latch plate assembly carried by the belt engages a buckle. The latch plate assembly includes a housing having a pair of flanges and a depression extending laterally between the flanges. A lock bar pivotally mounted on the flanges has a clamping surface moving toward and away from the depression upon pivoting movement of the lock bar. The belt wraps around the lock bar so that a force applied to the belt pivots the lock bar and the clamping surface of the lock bar clamps the belt into the depression to lock the belt against movement through the latch plate assembly. The lock bar pivot axis is closer to the clamping surface than the opposite side edge around which the belt wraps to increase the clamping force.
