Abstract: A bracket orients and/or supports a guest object from a host structure that includes one or more sheets that may overlap. The sheets may include a fastener. For example, a bracket may orient a video camera/recorder supported by an article of clothing worn by a law enforcement officer. The bracket bears at least part of the weight of the object and maintains an orientation of the object. Friction between the bracket and one or more of the host sheets may resist movement of the bracket with respect to the sheet. The bracket may be installed by passing a portion of the bracket through an orifice of the sheet. When used with an overlapping arrangement of two sheet edges, friction between the bracket and each sheet edge may resist movement of the bracket with respect to each sheet edge. Consequently, the bracket may further serve to mechanically couple the two sheet edges, align, and/or maintain the alignment of the two sheet edges.

Abstract: A load carriage connector and system for rapid mounting and demounting of a user-carried load. The connector utilizes two mating halves comprising a male connector half and a female connector half. The connector is configured to allow mating under various angles of approach, allowing the user to reliably couple the system even under conditions in which the user is unable to view the orientation of the connectors. Additionally, the configuration of the connector system allows the user to quickly and efficiently decouple the connector halves, even while under tensile or shear load.

An outer cover may be bonded to the cover. The outer cover may have a gripping surface and a non-gripping surface. The gripping surface will provide more grip for the twist tie device when it is wrapped around itself, and the gripping surface will provide more grip when it is wrapped around objects.

Abstract: A charm holder device for attaching charms to a shoe is shown and described. The charm holder device allows a charm to be selectively attached to and detached from the shoe. A charm keeper is attached to the decorative body for attaching charms. In some of the described examples, the charm holder device is placed between the heel of the shoe and a ground-contacting portion of the shoe's sole such that the charm holder and the charm are spaced apart from the ground-contacting portion of the sole in a direction perpendicular to the ground-contacting portion of the sole.

Abstract: An inventive device to aid mobility-limited users of gasoline-powered handheld tools while crank-starting of same is disclosed. In particular, the invention is a tethering device to prevent a tool such as a chainsaw from jumping or kicking back when crank-started by an operator with limited bodily mobility, particularly of the back, preventing placing of the tool on the ground for crank-starting. The inventive tethering device allows the operator to remain upright while safely cranking the on-board engine. The inventive device comprises an elongated tether member having first and second ends, a foot placement member for placement of the operator's foot to secure the device and restrain its movement, affixed to the first end and an attachment means for attaching the tether to a chainsaw, affixed to the second end of the elongated tether member.

The garment strap is allowed to slip through bridge of the first piece and rest in the channel of the first piece. As a person wears the garment strap, the wearer's body presses against the third flat surface, consequently pressing the second flat surface against the strap and the first flat surface to automatically lock the clip assembly in place.
