  • Patent number: 11280578
Abstract: A hand weapon that appears to be an innocuous key carrying device is employed for self-defense. In a first preferred embodiment, the device includes a hollow handle having flexible cordage, typically a double cord, that passes through it to which a number of keys or other weighted objects are affixed via an attachment mechanism, usually a split-ring or similar mechanism. A spring-loaded plunger mechanism extending radially through a cross-section of the hollow handle pinches a portion of the flexible cordage in the interior of the hollow handle to hold it in position. A first position is where the attachment mechanism abuts a first end of the hollow handle. If an attacker threatens, the user depresses the spring-loaded plunger mechanism while slinging the first end with weighted objects affixed, typically keys, toward the attacker using a slashing movement.

The device includes an elongate, flexible strap having a plurality of bores and a retaining member embedded within a platform body. The retaining member has first and second portions. The first portion has a first end which is passed through one or more of the bores of the strap to operatively connect the strap to the retaining member. The strap is placed around the object to be retained. The second portion retains the first portion in a closed position so that the object is retained securely but non-permanently. An adhesive between the platform body and the surface permanently fixes the retaining device to the surface.

  • Patent number: 8245358
Abstract: The present invention relates to a pacifier clip, consists of a base board, a pulling sheet, a mobile clipping sheet and a connection tool. When the pulling sheet is pulled, through the leverage effect the swivel rod optionally abuts against the bottoms of the support arms or swivels the passive sheet while the swivel rod is rotated, so the mobile end of the mobile clipping sheet generates an upward or downward movement, and the teeth lines of the mobile end and the teeth rows of the base board are engaged or forms a slit. When the mobile clipping sheet of the pacifier clip is clipped on a thicker object, through the leverage effect, the pair of support arms of the mobile clipping sheet applies a clockwise force to the swivel rod disposed below the support arms, so the abutting force between the two components is enhanced and the clipping effect is also increased.

Abstract: Accessory systems and methods are provided. An accessory may be designed with two loops (such as an elastomeric strap or two elastic loops) attached to the back of a decorative ornament using, for example, an interlocking post. The accessory may be removably attached to footwear. The ornament may rest on the upper part of a shoe, while the two elastic loops secure the ornament by coming together underneath the shoe strap, upper or lace to form a single combined loop and then flipping over the ornament, thereby holding it in place. These accessory ornaments may be moved from shoe to shoe, allowing the wearer to create their own look. In addition, the wearer may change the ornament on the same shoe, changing the look of that one shoe, depending on the chosen ornament. The accessory ornament may be attached to other objects, such as ski poles, helmets, goggles, bike handle bars, zippers, and purses.
