Track Or Way Oblique To Path Of Gripping Member Patents (Class 24/526)
  • Patent number: 11369216
Abstract: Items are clamped between damping sheaths (11, 51) which are each secured around a carrier (12, 52), wherein a plurality of composite bodies (5, 10) are oriented with respect to one another such that their carriers (12, 52) are arranged in parallel and are held, with their end protruding from the sheath (11, 51), in holes (21) of a plate (2). Preferably, plates (2) can be locked onto one another to form a plate layer (20), or the composite bodies (5, 10) are components connected to one another by cohesive bonding. Plates (2) and carriers (12, 52) of composite bodies (5, 10) may shaped such that the carriers (12, 52) fit with one end into the plates (2) and with this end can be locked onto the plates. Preferably, connection bridges (3, 4) and plates (2) are shaped such that the plates (2) can be locked onto the connection webs (3, 4) to form a plate layer (20).

Abstract: Messenger clamps can be formed from two messenger clamp halves. Messenger clamps and messenger clamp halves can include break away portions, which allow a messenger wire to fall when subjected to high impact forces such as a tree falling on the messenger wire. A messenger clamp half for use in forming a messenger clamp can include an inside face having a first clamping groove and a second clamping groove, and an outside face having at least one fault groove. A break away portion of the messenger clamp half can include one of the clamping grooves, and can further includes at least a portion of the fault groove.

  • Patent number: 6969398
Abstract: A sternal closure device including impermanently joined sliding and receiving attachment structures which are adapted for intercostal positioning between at least two corresponding rib pairs and substantially surrounding a patient's sternum with each structure having a cross member, a plurality of integrated legs and foot members, a plurality of sternum engagement surfaces, and an end portion. The receiving structure further incorporates a resiliently tensioned catch member with angularly disposed teeth like structures positioned to receive and position a plurality of receiving structure projection members when inserted therein. The catch member further serves as a stabilizing structure with stabilization facilitated via an easily removed single screw like structure markedly facilitates quick release.

  • Patent number: 4704925
Abstract: Apparatus for stripping insulation from electrical cables which has two osing clamp assemblies, a front assembly which is fixed to a housing box and a movable rear clamp assembly which slides on guide rods. The rear clamp assembly is biased against the front clamp assembly to maintain both clamp assemblies in the open position. A cable in which the insulation is scored is inserted into the opposing clamp assemblies with the scored section being disposed between the two clamp assemblies. A pneumatic motor operates through a pulley and rope system to pull the rear movable clamp assembly away from the front clamp assembly allowing the clamps to close on the wire to be stripped. The insulation is stripped as the rear clamp assembly is pulled away from the front pulley while the wire is held by the front pulley assembly.
