With Support Vehicle Patents (Class 241/101.71)
  • Publication number: 20030062433
Abstract: A bale handling apparatus comprises a bale support surface (18) and means for gradually displacing a bale (16) off the surface. This allows flakes or wafers of the bale no longer supported by the surface to break off from the rest of the bale and enables a whole bale to be discharged piecemeal without the production of a large amount of dust. Agitating means (134) may be provided to assist in breaking up the discharged bale portions. The bale may be discharged, for example, by a movable member (e.g. a wall or gate) which engages the inner face of a bale or may comprise means for securing a cut end of one or more bale bindings and pulling the other end of the or each bale binding.

  • Patent number: 6431231
Abstract: The stump grinder has a rotating cutting wheel that is mounted onto an arm for raising and lowering movement and is driven by a hydraulic motor. The arm is capable of being moved about a generally upright axis to control the rate of laterally feed of the cutting wheel. The actuator movement is controlled as a function of the pressure to the hydraulic motor driving the cutting wheel so that as the pressure increases, the rate of feeding movement laterally of the cutting wheel is reduced. The rate of movement is controlled in both directions of swinging of the post about an upright axis, by utilizing variable opening or proportional flow pilot operated valves on the lines to the actuator for controlling the swing. As pressure to the motor increases the variable outlet or proportional pilot operated valve connected to the pressurized end of the swing actuator opens a greater amount diverts a portion of the hydraulic fluid flow to drain to slow movement of the swing actuator.

  • Patent number: 6419172
Abstract: A mobile crusher, which has a high-quality controlling function enabling an efficient production, and which is capable of preventing the crusher itself from being damaged, is provided. For this purpose, a mobile crusher having a feeder (3) and a crusher member (4) which are set drivably on a mobile vehicle body (1), includes means (7) for detecting an amount of a material to be crushed, which detects an amount (H) of a material (6a) to be crushed inside the crusher member (4), and control means (10) for receiving the amount H from the means (7) for detecting the amount of the material to be crushed and controlling a driving speed V of the feeder (3) changeably based on the reception amount H.

  • Patent number: 6305625
Abstract: A refuse collecting and disposal handling vehicle know as TEAM II USA™ is basically two vehicles working together in a tandem. The parent vehicle is arranged and configured to properly lift and empty a front-loading refuse container. The companion vehicle (The Accumulator) is arranged and configured in a trailer mode. The parent vehicle that tows the Accumulator is further arranged internally with a mutilating device which will, upon demand, process the bulk refuse received and converts it into many bits and small pieces, chips and saw dust. These bits and pieces are allowed to drop into a strong wind stream, which will transfer the bits and pieces into the Accumulator via a transition wind tunnel.
