Abstract: An illustrative embodiment of the present invention relates to a cord organizer having a base with first and second posts extending therefrom. First and second flexible nubs couple with the first post and the second post, respectively. The first and second flexible nubs each extend substantially outward from the posts and in a direction opposite and away from the other flexible nub. The result is a cord organizer device formed of two posts around which a cord may be wrapped in a figure-eight pattern. The flexible nubs at the ends of each post help to hold the cord onto the posts by preventing the cord from slipping off the ends of the posts on its own. However, when the cord is to be un-stowed from the cord organizer, the cord can be pulled straight away from the cord organizer, causing the flexible nubs to elastically flex to allow the cord to pass without requiring undue pivoting or rotating of the cord organizer, and further without causing twisting of the cord about its longitudinal central axis.

The device is an elongated member having, in a series, a head portion, a elongated shank portion, and an end portion. Immediately subjacent the head portion is a hole for maintaining the proximal end of a lifting cable therein. The elongated member is designed for engagement within a pair of holes drilled, in registration, through the spool of a winder assembly. When engaged within the spool holes, the elongated member securely maintains the proximal cable end held within the member between the head portion of the member and the outer surface of the spool. A fastener is secured to the end portion of the member to tightly maintain the member within the spool.

Abstract: A textile tube on which yarn is wound to form a pack comprises a body having a tubular body extending between opposed ends and an outer surface. At least one recessed score is defined proximate at least one end of the tube body. The recessed score has a substantially rectangular shape wherein the width of the recessed score is at least about five times the depth of the recessed score. As such, the recessed score provides more surface area for capturing yarn during a winding procedure. The recessed score also retains a substantially constant shape regardless of the moisture content of the tube, which is particularly advantageous when the tube body is formed of paperboard or other hygroscopic material. Methods of reconditioning the surface of the recessed score in order to improve the tube lifespan are also provided.

  • Patent number: 6412728
Abstract: A yarn reel having V-shape gradually narrowed slot cut with reverse fish scale shape having a rough surface. The reel includes a “V”-shape wide slot, a v-shape middle-wide slot, a narrow slot and an elongated slot with different widths being gradually set smaller and smaller from the wide slot to the elongated slot on the peripheral surface of said yarn reel. The wide slot being cut to be an open angle having a guide slope at the upper slope of the “V”-shape wide slot, and being cut to have many reverse fish scale shapes with a direction opposite to the yarn guiding direction to form the rough surfaces on both sides of the lower slope of the “V”-shape wide slot. The middle-wide slot is located following the wide slot with a width about one fifth to one sixth of said wide slot.
