The barrel has an opening formed between two flaps for slidably receiving a press piece which has two ears. A lever has a cam engaged between and rotatably secured to the ears and the flaps with a shaft which may retain the press piece to the flaps. The ears each have an oblong hole for slidably receiving the shaft and for allowing the press piece to be slid relative to the shaft and the flaps for a limited sliding movement.

Abstract: An accessory removably snaps onto the upstanding edge of a roller tray or the bail of a can holding paint and the like. It has a hook to hold a brush by a hole in the brush handle when the brush is not in use. A wide scraping or wiping blade at the lower end causes excess fluid removed from the brush to drain into the can or tray. The accessory is equipped with a carrying handle for lifting the can by its bail.

Abstract: A pain brush holder has a basal member curved to follow the curve of the rim of a paint container to which the paint brush holder is attached by depending clamp jaws spaced apart circumferentially along the curve of the basal member. Abstract: The apparatus and method for removably holding a tool on a container having a lip or edge. The apparatus includes a cradle having a substantial open front and top. A bridge or retainer bridges a substantial part of the open portion of the cradle at an opposite end but defines an opening sufficient to allow a tool handle to pass through. A connection or mount is positioned on the underside of the cradle for releasably mounting the cradle to the lip or edge of a container. The handle can easily be placed in the substantially open cradle with the retainer bridge preventing rotation of the handle vertically, the cradle preventing any movement of the handle transverse to the longitudinal axis of the cradle, but the holder allowing the handle to be slid along the longitudinal axis of the cradle into a holding position.

The device comprises a generally "U"-shaped frame with an object grasping means attached thereto. The frame has two arms pivotably attached thereto, and two resilient flexible gripping members are provided for attachment between the distal ends of the pivotable arms and the frame. The flexible gripping members are attached in a manner to form a generally "X"-shaped object grasping area at the forward open end of the frame when the device is in an open or ready position. When an object such as chicken legs are pushed into the central gripping area, the two pivotable arms rotate in an inward and downward direction causing the flexible gripping members to grip around the object.

Abstract: The present invention provides a structure 10 for holding multiple toothbrushes 42, 44, 46, 48 in such a way as to hold the toothbrushes 42, 44, 46, 48 by the handle, rather than resting on the bristles as in conventional designs, and position the toothbrushes so they can properly drain over different areas without contamination from other toothbrushes and in a direction which promotes rapid evaporation of residue. The present invention also provides a structure 10 for positioning the toothbrushes directly above a sink for proper drainage into the sink.

Abstract: Apparatus is provided for temporarily supporting objects such as toothbrushes. The apparatus includes an anchor part which may be affixed to a supporting structure such as a wall. A detachable section is detachably coupled to the anchor part and is in the form of a bracket including two spaced arms between which extend a pair of spaced parallel rods on which are supported a plurality of clamps having a clothespin-like configuration. The clamps are spaced from one another by sleeves and are provided with elongated openings through which the aforegoing rods extend. These clamps are held by the rods in rectilinear alignment and are color coded in order to be identified with specific objects which are engaged therein.

Abstract: A holder for paintbrushes that is mounted on the rim of an open paint can and supports the brushes in a position of nonuse. The paintbrush holder includes a tray that occupies less than the full dimension of the open top paint can and has a configuration that provides for the dripping of paint accumulated thereon into the interior of the paint can. The brush holder is also provided with clip means that enables the brushes to be securely located on the tray in side-by-side relation in the position of nonuse.

Further, structure is carried by the lower end of the support below the shelf opposite end portions and to be used in mounting the support from the upper rim portions of a paint can, paint box, or roller tray.

Abstract: A disposable infusion bag capable of containing tea or the like which is immersible in a cup of hot water and suspended from a crossbar resting on opposite sides of the rim of the cup. The crossbar is in the form of an inverted "V" comprised of a squeezable pair of plates so that the infusion bag can be drawn up into the apex of the crossbar to squeeze off excess water before disposal. The crossbar is also designed to fit various sizes of cups and contains a suitable hole for passage of a thread or filament of plastic or other supporting means.

Abstract: A device for holding food articles that are impaled on sticks. The device includes a body member having first and second transverse grooves thereacross. The second transverse groove is positioned within the first transverse groove. A spring clip is positioned over the transverse grooves to selectively clamp one of the sticks between the body member and the spring clip. The first transverse groove is shaped to receive sticks having a substantially rectangular cross section. The second transverse groove is shaped to receive sticks having a substantially circular cross section.

Abstract: A holder for supporting elongated handles of utensils in a generally vertical position, and including a clip portion for grasping a handle, and a mounting portion comprising a pair of spaced flanges, and which may be mounted in straddling relationship to the upper edge portion of a container wall, partition or the like. Selectively, the mounting portion is adapted to be secured to a wall or panel.

Abstract: A device that will hold brushes upright for purposes that include drying, and for holding brushes with different pigments or mediums while working with other brushes. From the side of a receptacle for catching water dripping from drying brushes, there rises a stem holder on which are non-stationary stems upon which there are non-stationary spring-type clamping devices for holding brushes. More than one clamping device may be placed on each stem so as to increase brush holding capacity. When using thick-handled brushes, the stems may be placed further apart to provide extra space for each brush, and any surplus clamping devices may be stored on an elongated stem supported by the brush tender.
