  • Patent number: 4705247
Abstract: A foldable utility cart is disclosed having first and second pairs of support legs (4, 6) at opposite sides thereof. The support legs (4, 6) are pivotal coupled at mid-sections (14, 16) so as to selectively diverge and converge into free standing and storage positions. The mid-sections (14, 16) have incut channels (24, 38) transversely disposed to each other and which interfit to being the pivotally connected legs (4, 6) into a common plane. Internal side walls (26, 28, or 40, 42) defining the incut channel of one leg mid-section brace against the top and bottom surfaces of the opposite leg mid-section. The side walls (26, 28 or 40, 42) are angularly profiled to limit and lock the pivotal rotation of the opposite leg at the free standing and storage angular positions. A shelf (12) is further provided which breaks upward at its mid-section into half sections (56, 58) which overlap along the break to lock the shelf (12) in a horizontal configuration.

  • Patent number: 4687215
Abstract: An apparatus for simultaneously transporting a plurality of wheeled carriers is provided. First and second end frames are interconnected by central spine elements from which extend a plurality of arms which define discrete cells configured to accept the individual carriers. Straps between the end frames and arms or between arms are provided to secure the carriers to the transportation apparatus. In use, the wheeled carriers may be moved as a group while allowing a carrier to be removed from or inserted into any cell without disrupting the other carriers and without necessitating the carriers themselves being placed on a larger wheeled carrier for transport.

Abstract: A device for supporting at least one surf fishing rod at an appropriate angle for fishing to alleviate the need for the person fishing to hold the fishing rod while fishing. The device is adjustable to allow the fisherman to adjust the direction of the rod or rods. The height of the device is adjustable for the convenience of the person fishing. An additional rod support means is provided to facilitate rod preparation. The entire device is constructed to be water-tight and contains a flotation insert to prevent the device from sinking in water. In an additional embodiment, the fishing rod holder may be used as a handle for a bait bucket fitted with wheels.

  • Patent number: 4640521
Abstract: A dolly includes a frame-like base that supports a cylindrical cannister on its closed lower end. A U-shaped latch member pivotally mounted on the base is movable relative thereto between releasing and holding positions. In moving to the latter position, the latch member snaps above a bead surrounding the sidewall of the cannister at the bottom thereof. During this movement of the latch member, the bead is moved below one or more inward protrusions on the base. Notches in the base receive the cannister to position the latter. These notches also limit relative movement between the cannister and the base to that required for the bead to move below the protrusions for latching and clear of the protrusions for separating the cannister from the base to empty the former.

  • Patent number: 4544173
Abstract: A support frame in the form of a rigid cylindrical ring of a diameter for snugly receiving either shouldered diametrically reduced base or valve shielding end of an LPG (propane) tank is provided and the ring includes a support leg carried by a first peripheral portion of the ring and projecting generally axially of one axial end of the ring. A pair of support arms are supported from second and third peripherally spaced portions of the ring substantially equally oppositely angularly spaced from the first ring peripheral portion and spaced slightly on the side of a diametric plane of the ring remote from the first portion and disposed normal to a radial plane of the ring upon which the leg is disposed. The arms also project generally axially outwardly from the aforementioned one axial end of the ring and the outer free ends of the arms include support wheels journalled therefrom for rotation about generally aligned axes parallelling the aforementioned diametric plane.

  • Patent number: 4537421
Abstract: A foldable dolly in which the arms are rotatably mounted to the frame preferably by means of interengaging sleeves formed with opposed ramps and opposed shoulders and positioned in relatively vertical alignment such that the ramps and shoulders of the first sleeve mate with the ramps and shoulders of the second sleeve. The sleeves are thereby found to permit rotation of the arms between a folded, collapsed position and an extended deployed position, while at the same time providing enhanced rigidity and stability of the arms at the extended, deployed position.
