Abstract: A dispenser for candy or the like comprising a bottom bowl and an upper transparent cover through which a spoon is extended for dipping into the bowl to lift a spoonful of the contents and thereafter spilling it into a dispensing chute for discharge into the hand of a recipient. A deflectible cover is rotatably secured with the bowl to a support stand by a novel interlocking arrangement wherein the rim of the deflectible cover and the deflectible bowl are snapped into notches provided in the stand to form a unitary structure so that the removal of the cover is not readily discernable to prevent persons uncovering the device and reaching into the bowl to take excessive amounts of the sweets or because of dirty hands possibly contaminating the remaining contents. Also the rotational facility of the cover allows partitioning of the bowl so that different items may be placed at opposite sides of the partition and the cover rotated to accessibly position the spoon for right or left hand manipulation.
Abstract: A plurality of dampers are arranged and interposed between a spherical tank and its foundation in such a way that when the foundation shakes in case of an earthquake so that the spherical tank vibrates or swings relative to the foundation, the amplitude of the relative vibrations of the spherical tank may be controlled by the dampers.

Abstract: A reactor pressure vessel is supported at its bottom end by an inverted frusto-conical surface concentric with the axis of the vessel and fixed to its bottom, this surface slidably resting on an upright frusto-conical surface which is also concentric with the vessel's axis. Radial thermal movements of the reactor's bottom results in diameter changes in the conical surface fixed to its bottom so that this surface by cam action moves up and down on the other surface, and with a properly defined angularity, compensates for the vertical thermal expansion of the vessel which occurs simultaneously with its radial expansion.
Abstract: An apparatus for receiving refuse, such as a refuse container or a garbage can, is vertically insertable into a holder device therefor with the holder comprising a ring-like portion circumferentially extending about the inserted container which portion has openings therein through which the closed loop handles of the container may be inserted. The closed loop handles outwardly extend from the sides of the container in the direction of the sides and are slidably insertable on the ring-like portion adjacent the opening when the inserted container is rotated after insertion. Pivotally mounted locking bars are included in the ring-like portion adjacent the openings for locking these openings after the handles have been slidably inserted onto the ring-like portion to lock the container to the holder device. The holder is anchored, such as by concrete and/or an embedded base to prevent ready removal of the holder.
