In the closed-up or fully retracted condition, that is, in the most compact condition of the tripod, the head is at least partially housed inside the through-hole.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a support stand for a fishing pole holder, and is particularly adapted for ice fishing. In use, the stand holds the fishing pole in a generally upward angled position. The fishing pole is held in a pivotal position, so that upon sensing a hit on the attached line, the fishing pole tips downward. Legs, for supporting the body of the stand, can be placed in a first position or a second position, depending on the conditions of use for the stand. When not in use, the legs of the stand can be stored within the body.

Abstract: A portable stand for an articulated arm that carries a device, such as a lamp. The stand includes a post having a lower end with a plurality of support legs for supporting the post freely on an underlying surface and an upper end having a bushing. The articulated arm can be mounted on the upper end of the stand by inserting a lug of the articulated arm into the bushing. The stand also includes means on an upper end of the post for ensuring that the articulated arm is positioned in vertical alignment over one of the support legs of the post. Thus, as the articulated arm is fully extended in a lateral direction from the post, the center of gravity of the articulated arm remains over the support leg thereby permitting the stand to remain stable.

  • Patent number: 7178767
Abstract: A multi-leg equipment stand has a unitary user interface. All legs can be adjusted simultaneously, or, an individual leg can be adjusted, by distinct motions of the interface. A collar is near to an equipment support shoulder. Rotation around a vertical axis releases all legs. For a tripod, tilting the collar in one direction releases only one of three legs. The tilt may be toward the leg to be moved. The legs have adjacent, telescoping components. A control rod extends from the collar, through the hollow interior of the upper component, to a jam-plate, at the lower end of the upper component. The plate jams between an inside of the lower component, and an inside of the upper component. The rod passes through the jam-plate. Pushing the rod tilts the jam-plate, freeing it from jamming. A spring returns it to jamming if released. For each leg, the collar underside has a two level cam recess. The rods each have a cam follower surface at their shoulder end.

Abstract: A calibration pattern unit which obtains correction information of an imaging system by imaging at the imaging system is formed by combining a plurality of three-dimensionally arranged planes. The calibration pattern unit comprises supporting members each of which has a predetermined surface corresponding to one of the planes, and a calibration pattern in which a predetermined pattern is formed on the predetermined surface of the supporting member. The supporting member can selectively set the calibration pattern unit to a first form for photographing when the correction information is obtained, and a second form for other purposes.

The ratchet device includes a ratchet alternatively rotated by the driving device and a leverage to abut a ratchet tooth. Thus, after the inner tubes are elevated by the driving device, the abutment of the leverage to the ratchet retains the elevation of the inner tubes.

Abstract: The present invention provides a stable tripod stand for sensitive optical devices such as telescopes and the like. The tripod may be moved around on wheels which are coupled to casters and when positioned may be secured to the ground to provide an adjustable and highly stable support that significantly reduces the incidence of jitter. The tripod includes a stabilizer member that extends through the casters to selectively engage the ground. The leg members of the tripod have a triangular shape and support links between the platform and the leg members form interlocking triangular supports which reinforce the leg members.

Abstract: An apparatus that is adapted to reduce wobble in a tripod that is used to hold an optical instrument, includes a triangular shaped base plate that includes an attachment to each leg of the tripod. The base plate includes slots at each corner or apex thereof that provides for an adjustment range sufficient for most types of tripods. A member that is attached to each leg of the tripod is attached to each corner of the base plate. A lighted carousel that includes a battery operated light and is adapted to hold a plurality of lenses is disposed above the base plate. • Patent number: 6979778
Abstract: A foot pad has an elastic conical body and at least one elastic rib. The elastic conical body defines a connecting surface and an outer conical surface. The connecting surface defines a hollow portion, and the elastic rib integrally connects to the elastic conical body at a surface of the hollow portion. The outer conical surface has a root portion connecting with an outer edge of the connecting surface. A thickness of the elastic conical body at the root portion of the outer conical surface is greater than a thickness of the elastic conical body at other portions of the outer conical surface. Elasticity of the foot pad is thereby increased so as to enlarge a contact area contacting an outer supporting surface, so that an anti-skid effect is improved and the foot pad is capable of absorbing a deformation of an electronic product.
