A clip is connected to the channel member and is adapted for releasable connection to a wide variety of different retail shelf fixtures. In one embodiment, the clip is connected to a back wall that is interconnected with the channel member in different ways to define a variety of cross-sectional shapes. In another embodiment, the clip cooperates with a top wall to define a slot therebetween that receives and retains a front edge of an associated retail shelf. A thin, flexible tongue-like retaining element extends across a lower portion of the sign clip and is adapted to be easily deflected by upward insertion of a paper sign but thereafter lightly grips the sign to hold it in place. A new process is also disclosed for the continuous extrusion of the new label holder product, enabling the continuous co-extrusion of the soft, flexible tongue-like retaining element together with the main section of the label holder.

Another embodiment includes a second tongue and groove connection which makes the horizontal distance between the valance and the headrail similarly adjustable.

Two cap screws project from the supporting strip. Two suspension slots are defined on an underside of the table plate. The suspension slots are open at the bottom for receiving the cap screws in a positive-locking engagement.

Abstract: A device capable of firmly mounting a sign of direction to a post is disclosed. A cylindrical connector is fitted into the top end of the post, while an annular locking member is fitted over the connector. The locking member has a plurality of longitudinal locking grooves on its external surface at regularly spaced positions. The locking grooves individually have a T-shaped cross-section. A sign holder is slidably and detachably locked to the locking grooves of the locking member and is used for holding the sign on the post. The sign holder is provided with both a slide insert part and a sign holding part, thus being locked to the locking member at the insert part and holding the sign at the sign holding part. A plurality of longitudinal locking grooves may be directly formed on the external surface of the post in place of a separate locking member.

Abstract: A mounting assembly including a housing for a roller operated system, such as a projection screen system, which facilitates installation in a building in stages to reduce the risk of damage to system components. The housing includes longitudinally extending lipped projections along its top wall. Attachment lugs of brackets that support the roller on which a sheet, such as a projection screen, is windable are adapted to engage the lipped projections and enable the brackets to be mounted to the housing at selected longitudinal locations to allow for positioning adjustments of the roller. The vertical side walls of the housing also are each constructed with a projecting lip adapted to engage an upstanding hook of the bottom closure panel to thereby enable the closure panel to be mounted to either of the side walls of the housing. A method of installing a roller operated system is also disclosed.

The lever is equipped with projections on both sides of upper and lower surfaces, and oblique surfaces formed at the lower and upper portions of the left and right sides. The oblique surfaces project gradually outwardly toward a central portion from the upper and lower ends. When the engaging member is rotated, the tool can be easily taken out from the lever.

The major and minor jaws are aligned in the receptor cavity of a configured rectangular tube and are actuated to fully and to frictionally engage the receptor cavity. Such actuation also causes outwardly-facing grooves on the ends of the major and minor jaws to engage a suitably-shaped configured slot on a configured tube or other structure. Such preceding action connects a configured rectangular tube and a structure having a suitably-shaped configured slot by the use of the intermediate major and minor jaws. Provisions are also made for snapping engagement of the pivotally opposed major and minor jaws of biased open major and minor jaws with a suitably-shaped configured slot.

The fixture fits inside the opening of the base stand to rotatably install the flat display panel onto the base stand.

Abstract: A sign holder having a bracket releasably securable to a support, an arm extending horizontally from the bracket, and structure releasably securable to a sign. This structure is supported on the arm at least for limited vertical swinging movement relative to the arm in either direction from a median position in which the sign hangs down vertically from the arm. The arm can have at an outer end a universal joint interconnecting the arm and the support structure, this joint permitting rotation of the support structure about an upright axis and providing for a limited vertical swinging movement of a sign in any direction. The arm can also be hollow and have a slot extending lengthwise of an underside of the arm, the slot being of a length less than the length of the arm, the support structure having at least partially circular bearing surfaces bearing on the interior of the underside of the arm beyond opposite ends of the slot, so that the sign can have only limited vertical swinging movement.

Abstract: The tapered dovetail joint is a method of joining two boards, or other rigid materials such as particleboard, wafer board, etc., by a unique type of modified dovetail joint. The modification to the classic dovetail joint includes tapering the dovetail pins as well as the dovetail tails with the same angle of taper in the same direction. The mating of this tapered dovetail joint will be greatly facilitated due to these corresponding tapers. The tapered nature of this joint minimizes difficulties in assembly due to the wedging action that takes place as the two boards are brought into union to create the joint. This wedging action allows the joint to be assembled even when there is moderate damage to the tails or pins including swelling—due to moisture, from the time of manufacture to time of assembly, impact damage, as well as minor manufacturing tolerance deficiencies in cutting of the pins and tails.

The leg ends in a foot that prevents the leg from slipping from the T-slot whenever loads are placed on the loading plank.

In order that a temporarily fixed state may be established by inserting the fastening nut into an entrance channel or hole into the fastening nut with the fixture body being griped and by turning the fixture body by 90 degrees, the fixture body is provided with a depending member in parallel with the stem portion of the screw, and the fastening nut is provided at its longer side edge portion with a guide portion which is regulated in its turn but allowed to move only in parallel with the stem portion of the screw by fitting on or confronting the depending member. Therefore, the fastening fixture can effect the temporary fixing and the fastening fixing simply independently of the depth or inner width of the channel or hole.

Abstract: A device for fastening a roll to the frame construction in a paper machine, paper finishing machine, or equivalent, wherein the ends of the roll are provided with bearings. The bearing housings of the bearings, or fastening bases formed onto the bearing housings, are mounted against a back-up face formed on the frame construction so as to position the roll in its place on the machine frame. On the machine frame, fastening members are arranged to be displaceable in a direction substantially perpendicular to and against the back-up face formed on the frame construction and include flange portions, i.e., shoulders or equivalent formed pieces. Correspondingly, the bearing housings, or fastening bases arranged thereon, are provided with grooves corresponding to the shape of the flange portions of the fastening members. When the roll is installed in its place, the flange portions pass into the grooves in the bearing housings.

The attachment member has a base member and a pair of spaced arms forming an open-mouthed way that slides over such a dovetail member. At a locking angle relative to the dovetail, the edges of the arms bear against the dovetail sides, and the edges of the distal ends of the arms bear against the surface from which the dovetail extends. That locking angle is less than 90° angle between the plane of the attachment element and the surface from which the dovetail extends. The attachment element is translatable from its locked orientation to a release orientation by a brief application of manual pressure on it.
