Abstract: A windowsill assembly includes a beam member and an insert bracket. The beam member includes a first leg and a second leg, the first leg meeting the second leg at a joining region at proximal ends of the first leg and the second leg. The insert bracket includes a first portion and a second portion that are substantially perpendicular to each other to substantially match an angle between the first leg and the second leg of the beam member. The insert bracket couples the beam member to a support member.

Abstract: An anti-tip bracket assembly for a window air conditioning unit is disclosed, and more particularly, an anti-tip bracket assembly that pertains to securing a window air conditioning unit within a window assembly while allowing a user to open and close the window assembly in a safe and convenient manner is disclosed.

Abstract: The present invention is for a potted plant support apparatus for use with a container, plant stake and net, cage or trellis support. The apparatus is adjustable to fit a height of a container and is mounted on an exterior of the container, wherein the apparatus holds a stake exterior to the container, and further wherein an optional clip may be affixed removably to the stake and an optional trellis may be affixed removably to the clip and configured to surround an area above and exterior to the container and to enclose and support a potted plant within the trellis. The apparatus comprises an upper stand and a lower stand which removably engage with each other by interlocking teeth, and may further comprise an optional lock to secure the upper stand and the lower stand to each other when removably engaged.

The channel includes first and second channel legs positionable along a front edge and a lower surface, respectively, of a shelf member. The first support is couplable to the second base leg of the first base to form at least a portion of a first brace. Abstract: An apparatus for supporting an object at a window of a building comprises a first member, a second member, and a third member. The first member extends along at least a partial width of the window and abuts an interior surface of the building. The first member is configured to support the object by exerting an outward force on the interior surface of the building in response to a downward force exerted by the object. The first member also comprises at least two sections extending from the interior of the building to the exterior of the building. These sections may extend from the interior of the building to the exterior of the building about respective distal ends of the first member. The sum of the forces applied on the surfaces of the building are sufficient to secure the object to the building.

The pair of exterior brackets includes an exterior leg extending downwardly from one end and adjustably secured to the wall by exterior mounting plates. A cross member adjustably connects the two interior brackets to fit different size air conditioners. The adjustable brace extends through the window to adjustably support the window air conditioner.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention are deck accessory brackets, which are mounted to a vertical structure and are suitable for supporting a plurality of clothes lines and a variety of objects such as rods, shelving, hanging plants and hanging bird feeders. The mountable backing plate has 2 arms joined to it, one at an outward horizontally position, and one with a vertically angled supporting arm. The top horizontal arm has positioned receptors to which clothes line and/or rods are arrayed. The face of the mountable backing plate and the top of the horizontal arm are joined to a gusset.

Abstract: A method for fabricating a composite plate for a magnetic resonance imaging magnet. The method including cutting a starting plate having oppositely-directed major surfaces into a plurality of strips. Each of the strips having a width of approximately greater than 9 inches and faces which originally constituted parts of the major surfaces of the starting plate. The strips may be positioned to form the composite plate such that the width of each of the strips is equal to a thickness of the composite plate and the faces of the strips confront one another.

Abstract: A magnet for magnetic resonance imaging has an interior working space within the magnet frame sufficient to accommodate a physician and a patient. Because the physician is positioned inside the magnet frame, the physician has unimpeded access to the patient. Elements of the magnet frame desirably encompass a room, and the magnet frame may be concealed from view of a patient within the room. Preferred embodiments facilitate MRI imaged guided surgery and other procedures performed while the patient is being imaged, and minimize claustrophobia experienced by the patient. Also provided is a magnet having field coils disposed about the of pole portions of the magnet. A diagnostic facility for high volume MRI use is also disclosed.

Abstract: A unitary step unit has a generally rectangular main body portion with opposed transverse ends and laterally opposed sides. One end is bent downward and angularly outward with respect to the main body portion and terminates in a short upturned lip that extends angularly upward and inward. The step unit is removably installed on the existing step of a conventional ladder having channel-shaped steps by engaging the upturned lip against the bottom edge of the down-turned longitudinal side of the step and then pivoting the unit downwardly such that the upturned lip of the unit is captured on the bottom edge of the down-turned longitudinal side of the step and its main body portion is supported on top of the step and extends a distance rearwardly beyond the width of the step in cantilever fashion to provide a relatively wide flat foot-supporting surface.

Abstract: A new and improved window sill extension kit and method of using this kit is disclosed for use in extending the available space around the sill of a window. The window sill extension kit comprises a display deck and a support bracket. The generally rectangular display deck having a first planar area, a second planar area positioned substantially perpendicular to the first planar area and a third planar area positioned substantially perpendicular to the second planar area and positioned substantially parallel to the first planar area. The display deck configuration allows for a stable platform when the first planar area is placed in the sill and secured by a closed window. The support bracket adds additional stabilization to the display deck. The support bracket comprises an L-shaped brace, a cap attached to the top of the L-shaped brace and a base attached to the bottom of the L-shaped brace.

Abstract: A bracket system that supports a tailgate. The brackets can be mounted to a garage wall, for example. The tailgate is then attached to the brackets. The tailgate can be stored in an upright position, flat against the wall. The brackets also allow the tailgate to fold down and be used as a table.

Abstract: This invention is a telescoping window support which spans the width of the window to provide support for an air conditioner or the like. The support includes first and second halves which each comprise a plurality of fingers which engage one another in a sliding fashion for proper telescoping. Wedges may be selectively attached to level the support on the window sill.

Abstract: An apparatus for assisting in the operation of a firearm by a person from the interior of a vehicle, the vehicle including a door having and interior and exterior surface and a retractable window therebetween. The apparatus includes in a first embodiment, a shooting platform having of a generally horizontal first support surface, a generally horizontal second support surface located above the first support surface and an inclined support surface therebetween. The shooting platform is supported by a support member extending downwardly from the shooting platform and resting on the exterior surface of the vehicle door. The apparatus is releasably mounted on the retractable window by a pair of opposed walls which engage the retractable window therebetween. The shooting platform is adjusted by a retractable post. The invention further includes another apparatus to aid in shooting a firearm while outside the vehicle.

Abstract: Leveling arms for a low profile room air conditioner which are pivotally mounted to a side of an air conditioner housing at an inner end and have an arcuate slotted opening adjacent an outer end. A threaded fastener or clamping bolt is threaded into the air conditioner housing and extends through the arcuate opening. The threaded fastener is loosened to allow the position of the associated arm to be adjusted. The arms have an inner surface providing a series of radial teeth which mesh with like teeth on the outer surface of the housing when the threaded fastener is tightened, thereby retaining the arms in the desired position.

Abstract: A scaffold bracket is disclosed comprising a vertical beam of channel cross-section, a horizontal beam pivoted at its proximate end to a point between the ends of the vertical beam and adapted to nest within its channel cross-section, an angle bracket having a first and second end, the first end being connected to the proximate end of the vertical beam and the second end being connected to the middle of the horizontal beam whereby the horizontal beam is rigidly supported in a position substantially at right angles to the vertical beam, the vertical beam further having a hanger secured to its distal end, the hanger being adapted to engage a generally horizontal portion of a wall whereby the horizontal beam may be utilized to help support a scaffold along the wall.

Abstract: An apparatus for mounting an air conditioner unit on a sill of a window opening in a wall wherein the apparatus comprises a substantially horizontal platform adapted for resting on a sill and receiving an air conditioner unit. The platform comprises a first and second jaw extending below the platform from opposite ends thereof and adapted for opposed relative movement at ends of the jaws remote from the platform for contact with said wall. The apparatus further comprises a biasing means for releasably securing the jaws in contact with the wall whereby the apparatus, sill and wall form a non-yielding structure.

Abstract: A shelf is provided for use in combination with a window having a window sill formed of a planar rectangular body having the rear edge adapted to rest on the window sill adjacent the window. Bracing means are provided for supporting the body at a level with the window sill, by creating at least one slot extending perpendicularly to its rear edge of the body into which and from which a bearing member is freely suspended. The bearing member has detents at the upper end which cause the member to slideably engage with the surface of the body so as to restrict the complete axial passage through the slot. A connecting rod is detachably secured at one end to the lower end of the bearing member and at its opposite end to the front end of the upper surface of the body. The connecting rod has a predetermined length wherein the bearing member is simultaneously extended by its full axial length from the body and is pressed against the front edge of the window sill and forms a fixed right triangle.

Abstract: An improved shelf structure has a peripheral frame with side frame members. A pair of opposed side frame members carry respective slides which can be adjusted for positioning lengthwise along the side frame members. The slides carry a bracing assembly having pivoted U-shaped braces which can be crossed over and held in place by pegs on one of the braces. Adjustment of the cross-over point of the braces and adjustment of the slides along the side frame members allows the bracing assembly to be suitably adjusted to support the shelf in a horizontal plane.

Abstract: Disclosed is a support structure for holding house plants or the like in position to receive optimal sunlight at a window. The structure comprises a pair of elongate support members which rest on the window sill and extend upwardly and inwardly into the room. C-hooks attached to the base of the support members pass over the nosing of the window trim and prevent slippage; cables extend between eyes screwed into the window track and the top of the support members. The support members hold one or more shelves, each of which comprise a plurality of parallel rails extending horizontally between rail holding brackets. The brackets define holes dimensioned to interfit with the support members and to slide therealong. When a load is placed on the rails, vertical slippage of the shelves is prevented by a gripping action exerted by the rail holding brackets on the support members.

Abstract: A shelf bracket, particularly adapted for mounting on railings and the like, comprises a mounting bracket formed in a generally inverted U-shape with first and second legs depending from ends of a transverse segment. An elongate rigid shelf supporting member is fixed to lower regions of the first leg, below the lower end of the shorter second leg, to project orthogonally outwardly away from the second leg. A thumbscrew is installed in the first leg, below the shelf supporting member for engaging a railing support and enabling leveling of a shelf supported by two or more brackets below the level of the railing. A second thumbscrew is provided in the second leg, relatively close to the transverse segment, for adapting the bracket to railings more narrow than the length of the transverse segment and for clamping the bracket to the railing. Locking nuts are provided for each thumbscrew to maintain the adjustments.
