Including Vibration Isolation Means Patents (Class 248/638)
  • Patent number: 9291234
Abstract: An isolation system for a transportation pallet, a transportation pallet, and a method of providing an isolation system are provided. The isolation system comprises a plunger assembly comprising a graduated surface area having a first end with a relatively smaller surface area than a second end having a relatively larger surface area. The isolation system further comprises a cushion pad coupled to the plunger assembly such that when a load is applied to the plunger assembly, the plunger assembly is pressed into the cushion pad to cause the cushion pad to bear the load over a surface area of the plunger assembly corresponding to the magnitude of the load. When the load is increased, a larger surface area of the plunger assembly and the cushion pad supports the load and as the load decreases, a smaller surface area of the plunger assembly and cushion pad supports the load.

Abstract: A head-mounted wearable device assembly is provided that includes a bone conduction transducer (BCT) and an elastomeric isolation member that provides acoustic isolation between the BCT and a housing of the head-mounted wearable device assembly. The elastomeric isolation member may be a polyurethane material having a hardness (durometer) on the order of 60 A. The material arrangement and durometer may be chosen to provide a frequency response and/or acoustic leakage within a predetermined range, which results in high quality sound reproduction for the wearer. The elastomeric isolation member may be secured to an interior portion of the housing by a pair of mounting posts. The elastomeric isolation member physically and acoustically separates the BCT from the interior of the housing and other components therein.

  • Patent number: 9084350
Abstract: A cushion structure suitable for an electronic device is provided. The cushion structure includes cushions and at least one channel. Each cushion has a first surface and a second surface that are flexible and opposite to each other. Each cushion is combined to a body of the electronic device through its second surface, and the electronic device is placed on and in contact with a platform through the first surfaces of the cushions. The channel is in the body and communicated with the second surfaces. The channel is filled with a fluid that is in contact with the second surfaces of the cushions. When the first surface of at least one of the cushions sustains a force and deforms toward the second surface, the fluid in the channel is compressed to drive the second surfaces of the other cushions to deform toward the first surfaces to support the electronic device.

Abstract: In a conventional hard material insulator, reproduced sound can be tuned with use of characteristics of the material; however, various types of acoustic materials have specific high frequency characteristics, and thus their acoustic effects lack versatility, require compatible audio devices, and change with environment, musical genre, etc. To address this, a wind-bell member (resonant member) is arranged in parallel with a main propagation path of vibration transferred from an audio device to an insulator. Accordingly, a vibration system of a wind-bell having a tone determined by many factors such as a fundamental tone, harmonic tones, lingering sound, and fluctuation assists (enhances) high frequency vibration propagated from the audio device. As a result, due to the above assist action that is different in principle from a conventional type, acoustic characteristics such as a sense of localization, resolution, and a sense of transparency and scale a sound image can be dramatically improved.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is an engine mounting structure for reducing vibration. In particular, an engine having a mass is mounted to a damper pulley or a drive plate thereof to form an outer balancer. A roll mount is positioned on a virtual yaw axis after the virtual yaw axis is set in the engine, and an engine mount is mounted to one end of a virtual torque roll axis after the virtual torque roll axis is set in the engine. Furthermore, a transmission mount is mounted to the other end of the virtual torque roll axis. Therefore, the mounts are mounted to the engine to reduce vibration at the time of idle vibration, thereby making it possible to improve NHV performance of a vehicle and increase salability and driving convenience of a driver.
