  • Patent number: 7997542
Abstract: A strap with rotatably mounted clip fabricated in a single molding operation. The strap includes a strap retention member and a plurality of teeth. The rotatable clip includes a clip member, a pedestal and a head. The pedestal is retained in a pedestal opening formed through the strap. In fabrication, a top mold insert is slid into a top of first and second mold halves and a bottom mold insert is slid into a bottom of the first and second mold halves. Plastic is then injected into the first and second mold halves to independently and separately form the strap and the clip in a single molding process, wherein the inserts provide a space between the pedestal opening and the pedestal to allow the clip to rotate relative to the strap.

Abstract: The present invention provides a system of manually linked fastening clips for electrical cables. The manually linked clips are preferably linked to one another by way of a tongue-and-groove joint. Since the clips of the present invention are manually linkable via the tongue-and-groove joint, an installer may manually link electrical cable fasteners into numbered groupings of the installer's own choosing. The tongue-and-groove joint of the clips permits the installer to easily separate linked clips from one another by simply rotating one linked clip with respect to the other. This rotating action quickly and effortlessly disengages the tongue portion of one linked fastener from the corresponding groove portion of the other linked fastener, thereby facilitating the installation of electrical cable. The manually linked clips may be inserted into a clip dispensing sleeve to provide the installer with a continuous feed of cable fastening clips during installation.

Abstract: A corrugated clamp includes a base section, a lid section, and a bracket section. The base section and lid section are provided on their inner peripheral surfaces with concavo-convex portions to be fitted to an annular concavo-convex portion of a corrugated tube. The bracket section projects from an exterior of the base section to be engaged with a vehicle body. A ground wire is drawn out from a wire harness extending through the corrugated tube. A core wire is exposed from the ground wire by stripping an insulation sheath of the ground wire. The exposed core wire is brought into contact with an inner surface of the concavo-convex portion of the base section and is fixed between the inner surface of the base section and an outer surface of the corrugated tube.

  • Patent number: 7540451
Abstract: The combination of a portable component, a cable attaching assembly, and a cable. The component has a wall with oppositely facing inside and outside surfaces and an opening. The cable attaching assembly has an anchor element with first and second transverse legs. The first leg is directed into the opening in a first direction into a first position with the anchor element in a first orientation. The anchor element is changed from the first orientation, with the anchor element in the first position, to place the anchor element in an operative position, wherein the first leg is situated in confronting relationship with the inside of the wall. The cable is connected to the anchor element so that the anchor element cannot be reoriented from the operative position to allow the anchor element to be withdrawn from the opening. The anchor element is the only component required in the opening.

  • Patent number: 7520475
Abstract: A pipe insulation coupling secures a pipe and adjacent ends of insulation tubing surrounding the pipe to a channel-section track having a pair of inwardly turned flanges. The coupling includes a one-piece elongated cylindrical body having an outer tube wall extending between first and second ends. A planar interior wall disposed midway between the first and second ends extends inwardly from the outer tube wall to a center bore for receiving the pipe therethrough.
