When the button is no longer engaged, the spigot spring decompresses and urges the shaft and spigot members to their closed position. The device includes a spigot control member with a movable actuator member that is connected to a foot control member by means of a flexible cable. When the spigot control member is attached and the foot control member is activated, the flexible cable and the actuator member move to engage the spigot button. The pressure on the spigot button urges the spigot spring, shaft and valve to their open positions. With the spigot members in their open positions, liquid is allowed to flow from the container through the spigot.

Abstract: An outlet box housing a stop valve that is connected to a water supply line of a building. The outlet box enables a user to control the internally housed stop valve by axial movement of a handle assembly linked to a handle on the valve. The outlet box has a faceplate with at least one aperture through which the handle assembly and water outlet line can pass. Valve inlet shanks (or adaptors) connect the stop valve to the water supply line and allow for quick and easy replacement of the stop valve.

Abstract: A device for a valve actuator is described, the valve actuator being provided with a slide nut surrounding a portion of an actuator slide and being in engagement with an external threaded portion arranged on the actuator slide, the slide nut being axially fixed relative to the actuator slide, and the actuator slide being in rotation-preventing engagement with a portion of an actuator mounting or a valve housing, and the slide nut being connected to a driving motor via transmission means. Also, a method of operating a valve is described, the method including the step of: providing an axial displacement of the actuator slide by rotating a slide nut which surrounds a portion of an actuator slide, is in engagement with an external threaded portion arranged on the actuator slide and is axially fixed relative to the actuator slide, the rotation being provided with the help of at least one driving motor.

Abstract: An air shutoff valve includes a passage for supplying air, a swing gate, a shaft attached to a reset handle, and a spring to urge the gate toward its closed position. A trigger assembly secures the shaft and gate in the open position and includes an actuator, a cam, and a rocker arm. A cam surface of the arm has a notch to receive a sear point of the cam. Movement of the handle against the spring causes the cam contact surface of the cam to follow the cam surface to cause the arm to rotate such that the sear point is received in the notch. Actuating the actuator causes the arm to pivot away from the cam such that the sear point is released from the notch, wherein the spring causes the shaft to move the gate to its closed position.

Abstract: A shut-off valve for the plumbing sector for shutting off a line through which a fluid can flow that preferably includes a housing having at least two connecting pieces. A flow path is defined from one of the connecting pieces through the housing to another of the connecting pieces, and a shut-off body is disposed rotatably in the housing with a single shut-off section running crosswise to the flow path. Preferably, the shut-off segment is constituted as a spherical segment, and the shut-off body can be moved between a closed position in which the flow path is completely blocked to only one of the connecting pieces and an open position in which the flow path is completely clear. A switching shaft which is rotatably mounted in the housing and is connected in a rotationally fixed manner at its one end to the shut-off body.

Abstract: A dual piston valve actuator operable to provide an initial thrust force that is greater than a subsequent thrust force for moving a gate valve from a closed position to an open position. The actuator may include a first piston and a second piston movably disposed within a bore of the first piston. The first piston may define a first piston area for proving the initial thrust force, and the second piston may define a second piston area (that is less than the first piston area) for providing the subsequent thrust force. Movement of the first piston is limited relative to the second piston for moving the gate valve using the initial thrust force an initial portion of the valve stroke, while moving the gave valve using the subsequent thrust force the remaining portion of the valve stroke.

Abstract: A wall-mounted faucet control comprises: a control handle and three joints. Each joint has an insertion aperture. Each insertion aperture has a different cross-sectional shape such that the control handle can be installed with the various control rods. Each insertion aperture has a limiting aperture at one end, and the limiting aperture further provides a locking member and a washer. An assembling slot is disposed adjacent to the insertion aperture of each joint, and the assembling slot engages with a screwing member of the control handle. Two joints further have the securing aperture connected to the insertion aperture adjacent to the assembling slot, and the securing aperture engages with a securing member. The joints of the control handle can be correspondingly alternated for the various valve rods. The control handle can be installed with the various water valves, which can provide variety and convenience.

Abstract: An actuating device or displacing a control device, such as a valve, gate valve or other control mechanism, in particular for use in oil or gas production systems, comprises a motor-gear unit (21) and a thread drive (22) which is operable by said motor-gear unit (21) and which comprises at least a threaded spindle (23) and a screw nut (24). The threaded spindle (23) is displaceable in an essentially axial direction so as to displace the control device (2) between a use position (7) and a non-use position (8, 9, 19, 20). To ensure a safe displacement into the non-use position in a simple way and independently of the pressure conditions prevailing between conveying medium and inner medium, the threaded spindle (23) is substantially axially displaceable beyond the use position (7) into a second non-use position (9). The invention also refers to a corresponding method for displacing the actuating device.
