  • Patent number: 8813504
Abstract: A protocol for assembling a fuel shut off pin valve assembly for a gas turbine engine. The protocol outlines a specific sequence of events in order to ensure failsafe incorporation of a fuel shut off valve assembly within the low pressure turbine area and specifically within the engine casing of the gas turbine.

  • Patent number: 8474257
Abstract: Provided is an exhaust turbine equipped with an exhaust control valve which can reduce wear of the contact surfaces between the shaft and the bushing or the turbine casing. The exhaust turbine is equipped with the exhaust control valve for opening/closing an exhaust bypass passage leading the exhaust turbine being driven by exhaust gas output from an engine to an exhaust outlet passage while bypassing the exhaust turbine, wherein the exhaust control valve comprises a shaft which is supported rotation-freely by a turbine casing and supports a valve element, an arm equipped with a connecting part with a drive source and turning the shaft about the axis thereof by the reciprocating motion of the connecting part produced by the drive source, and a weight attached to an end on the side opposite to the connecting part with the drive source with respect to the axis of the shaft.

  • Patent number: 7766901
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for treating bladder emptying dysfunctions of a human, in which a catheter that can be inserted into the urethra is provided with a bladder emptying channel and with a balloon arrangement, which serves to seal the bladder and to hold the catheter inside the bladder lumen and which can be filled with a fluid. In addition, an automatically closing valve having an elastically held closure part is provided in a proximal end area of the catheter and is connected via a connecting channel filled with an actuating fluid to an actuating balloon placed at the distal end section of the catheter. Without the use of mechanical means, the closure part can be lead out of a sealing system solely due to a hydraulic action effected by the actuating balloon via the hydraulic pressure built up in the connecting channel at said proximal end section.

  • Patent number: 5803434
Abstract: A single-lever tap closable by a load added thereon after pulling up a knob, wherein, the knob is provided with a pivot connector pivotally provided on the top of a main body and is coupled to an output valve, a force exertion portion is formed by extending of the pivot connector forwardly. When the knob is pulled up, by coupling of the pivot connector to the output valve, the tap is opened, and when it restores to the original position, the tap is closed.

  • Patent number: 5290008
Abstract: This invention is directed to a discharge controlling device for faucet, characterized in that a control lever is used to push a throttle pin axially positioned within the center of the housing, such that the pin is slidably moved up and down and engages a steel ball which is designed to control the opening and closing of a water discharge aperture. As the control lever is pushed by hand and moved from its lowest closed position to the intermediate, open position where the water can be admitted, the steel ball is pushed away from the aperture by the rod tip of the throttle pin which rises axially. At this instant, water enters through the aperture and flows out of the housing. When the hand is released from the control lever, the throttle pin will fall, and the steel ball, which is subject to water pressure, will immediately return to the position where it closes the aperture.

  • Patent number: 4297791
Abstract: A hose water leveling instrument in which a thin hose is filled with liquid and has an end to which a fixable reference instrument is connected. Another end of this hose has connected to it a freely-movable reading instrument. The housing of the reference instrument has on its rear side, a mounting surface with adhesive characteristics. A contacting section next to this mounting surface has a measuring scale which is easily read from different directions. An automatically opening and closing venting valve prevents run out of this measuring liquid, and is located in the reference instrument which is permanently filled with measuring liquid. The venting valve is in the form of a plane-convex body located in a valve chamber.
