  • Patent number: 5636838
Abstract: Methods and apparatus are provided for a roulette-type game comprising two sets of concentric indicia. According to a preferred embodiment, players may wager on either set of indicia and on the occurrence of the same indicia from both sets of indicia being indicated. A preferred roulette table comprises two independently rotatable plates each bearing identical indicia, and a mechanism for accurately aligning the indicia from the inner plate with indicia on the outer plate when the plates are not in relative motion.

  • Patent number: 5370393
Abstract: A new and improved random number selection apparatus includes a base and an axle projecting perpendicularly from a center portion of the base. A random-number-containing wheel is supported by the axle, is juxtaposed next to the base, is rotatable on the axle, and contains a plurality of selectable numbers and a plurality of selectable wells associated with the selectable numbers. A selector wheel assembly is supported by the axle, is juxtaposed to the random-number-containing wheel, is rotatable on the axle, and includes a well-selector portion and a first number-viewing window. The well-selector portion is adapted to be manually randomly positioned in registration with a randomly chosen selectable well on the random-number-containing wheel, and the first number-viewing window is adapted to be positioned in registration with a randomly chosen selectable number on the random-number-containing wheel that is associated with the chosen well.

  • Patent number: 5197736
Abstract: Apparatus to increase chance predictions of lottery numbers. Said apparatus comprised of random means for selecting lottery outcomes from among fields weighted proportional to statistical data to reflect past lottery outcomes.Rotary means with peripheral fields sized based on moving averages of past lottery or game outcomes. Means to initiate and randomly terminate rotary motion of these rotary means.

  • Patent number: 5123648
Abstract: A device for selecting a particular number, letter or other symbol for a lottery game or the like, and which includes a body adapted to be held by a user and carrying a wheel which is manually rotatable relative to the body and which has a series of numbers or other markings movable to a predetermined viewing position in different settings of the wheel. A member is mounted to the body for movement between a position blocking viewing of the markings during rotation of the wheel and permitting viewing of a single marking when the wheel is stopped. Preferably, the member acts to lock the wheel in a particular setting when in viewing condition, and is yieldingly urged by a spring to the position in which the wheel is free to turn.

  • Patent number: 5088739
Abstract: The present invention relates to an improved game having an environmental theme. In the improved game, players work together to solve environmental crises within a specified number of turns. In a first embodiment, an inventive board game is disclosed wherein players travel along World Boards until the environmental crises are solved. Once the environmental crises are solved, the players may travel along an additional passageway on the World Boards and win the game. In a second embodiment, the inventive game is adapted for a television game show in which players compete to solve environmental crises. In the television game show, players are assigned particular environmental crises and, using a chance device, attempt to obtain the corresponding environmental solution to end the game.

  • Patent number: 5083795
Abstract: The invention is a game called "Globespin". A globe serves as the gameboard, and other playing pieces include a clothespin which has an adhesive decal attached as a pointer, a deck of cards, a die, and a plurality of tokens which are used as markers. The object of the game is to score a Bingo pattern in any direction on the playing cards, with the position of the markers being determined by spins of the globe.

  • Patent number: 4852885
Abstract: A fast action game includes a wheel imprinted with the letters of the alphabet and numbers. The wheel is rapidly rotated by a motor in response to player actuation of a switch. When the switch is released, the wheel will coast to a stop with an indicator pointing to one of the letters or numbers on the wheel. Players then complete a scoresheet printed with various categories of items with a word beginning with the letter indicated by the wheel. If the wheel indicates a number preselected by one player, the player receives a bonus score. Play continues until all categories are completed by one player. A scoring system enables the determination of the finish rank of the other players.

  • Patent number: 4509754
Abstract: A game of chance apparatus includes a rotatable symbol substrate driven relative to a marker by an electric motor. Teeth are mounted coaxially with the symbol substrate and have a tooth repetition equal to that of the symbols. The relative motion between the symbol substrate and the marker can be started or stopped by an electromagnet, the marker and the symbol substrate being lockable into predetermined relative positions by means of the teeth. To reduce operational energy consumption and impact stresses, two annular electromagnets are mounted concentrically to each other and coaxially with the shaft of the symbol substrate. The magnetizable marker is freely displaceable between the poles of the electromagnets. Rings which cannot be magnetized are mounted at a distance from each of the electromagnets between their poles and the associated ends of the marker.

  • Patent number: 4185828
Abstract: An air pressurized game machine has a self-contained unitary multi-way valve assembly having at least one positive air pressure supply inlet with a multiplicity of positive air pressure outlets each having separate actuators for controlling air to tubes to perform different functions. A lot mixing or agitating chamber has horizontal and vertical outlets for blowing air in these respective directions and the lot is captured and then may be manually positioned in holes in a grid. The bottom of the holes are closed by air actuated flaps. A box below the flaps captures the lot and additional tubes can agitate the lot in the box or return it to the agitating chamber. An additional function is a roulette wheel rotated under action of the forced air.
