  • Patent number: 4497490
Abstract: A board game apparatus is disclosed having a board with marked spaces or areas constituting a path of progression around the board. The apparatus includes token money as a medium or indicia of payment. Movement of playing pieces is by chance. Spaces or areas on the board provide instructions for further movement or the mode of exchange of tokens between or among the players. Cards are provided having selected values and are used by the players to challenge and to play competitively with each other. Strategy of play depends upon position on the board and the cards available to the players. Payments from one player to another may result from winning or losing a challenge situation or by chance as dictated by the indicia on a player's position on the board. The game involves a combination of chance or luck and skill in managing the cards drawn.

  • Patent number: 4492378
Abstract: A game apparatus utilizes a rotatable wheel in combination with a playing table. Both the table and wheel include indicia from the standard fifty-two card playing deck. In one embodiment, a pair of concentric wheels are utilized with hands arranged on an outer, stationary wheel and individual card indicia arranged on an inner rotatable wheel. The rotatable wheel is divided into four concentric annular areas, which areas are subdivided into alternating 52 space and 13 space configurations. The stationary wheel is subdivided into 13 spaces each of which has indicia therein indicative of a class of playing card hands or an instruction. A second embodiment utilizes a single rotatable wheel with fifty-two segments representing the fifty-two cards of the standard playing card deck in combination with a horizontal play surface which includes fifty-two spaces arranged in rows according to suit and columns according to denomination.

  • Patent number: 4087091
Abstract: The game herein described has a board upon which there is mounted a basket. The basket has a reduced-in-size lower portion beneath which is a flapper assembly. When the player makes a basket with the throw of a bean bag, which passes through the inside of the basket, at the bottom of the basket, the bean bag actuates an elevated part of the flapper which is hereinafter referred to as a flat surface. The weight and force upon the flat surface, causes the arm which is pivotally mounted and integral with it, to move and causes a flapper pointer to engage selector pins which are radially mounted on a spinner wheel, causing the spinner wheel to rotate. A pointer mounted at a top position above the spinner wheel indicates the indicia upon the spinner wheel which gives the player the number of points he has scored.

  • Patent number: 3975022
Abstract: This invention is concerned with an electrically operated game device wherein a number selector means consisting of at least two electrically actuated spinnable pointers are provided to select or indicate at random a set of numbers, which numbers form possible arithmetical combinations. The rotation of each of said spinnable pointers is made variable and sequential by the use of a timing device. A horizontally disposed playing glass panel is disposed forwardly of said number selector means, said playing panel having several transverse rows of numerical indicia outlined thereon whereby all the possible arithmetical combinations arising from the randomly indicated numbers could be reflected thereon. An electrical control panel is provided wherein a set of switches are provided to actuate the number selector means and the lighting means disposed on said playing panel.
