  • Patent number: 11628357
Abstract: It is determined whether execution is to be carried out in a first mode or in a second mode, according to a user's selection operation. In the first mode, a movement of a player object is controlled according to the user's movement operation, and a movement of a non-player object is automatically controlled. Positions of the player object and the non-player object are changed according to the user's position changing operation such that a relative positional relationship between the player object and the non-player object for use in the second mode is a first positional relationship. In the second mode, movements of the player object and the non-player object are automatically controlled while maintaining the first positional relationship.

In some embodiments, players advance along the race course by playing their vehicle cards one at a time, and by scoring points depending, for example, on how closely certain graphical elements of a players vehicle card matches corresponding graphical elements of the track card corresponding to their position along the race course.

Abstract: A board game simulating a motorcycle poker run that travels around the United States. The board is provided with a primary route on which seven cities hosting rallies are located. Several secondary routes, all of which are dead ends, act as detours from the primary route. Three sets of cards are provided. One standard deck of playing cards for the poker run. One set of trivia cards. One set of recognition cards. The trivia and visual recognition cards will provide a challenging question and corresponding value in terms of spaces earned when correctly answered. Each player has a piece and starts in the Northwestern United States. Each piece moves along the primary route utilizing a die to determine advancement of their playing piece. When each player reaches a rally position, a poker card is awarded. The game is finished when all players reach the “finish” of the rally, and collect their final card for the poker run.

Abstract: A card game program has a routine for displaying areas of a player and an opponent, each being comprised of a plurality of hexes, a routine for displaying selective disposition of card on the hex, a routine for removing for displaying remove of a card between the hexes, a routine for dealing with battle for seizing damage between the cards of a player and the opponent and displaying the result, and a routine for computing point for computing victory point from a form of location of a card. A player can fight against the opponent, seizing damage between the player and the opponent by removing the card between the respective areas. Therefore, an element like strategic simulation game of attacking the respective areas can be added in addition to the interest as a card game.

Abstract: An automobile race game and method for playing same, is provided, comprised of a playing surface have printed on one side thereof a closed circuit race trace. The race track is divided across its width into parallel lanes. Each lane is divided into a sequence of spaces. A token is provided for each player set on a space on the race track. Players advance their tokens around the circuit according to the roll of three dice—two conventional dice and one supplemental dice. Some spaces are designated to “DRAW CARD,” requiring player landing on such spaces to draw an event card from the top of an invented stack of event cards. The supplemental die has one face permitting lane change, and another multiplying the value of the other two dice. Players may change lanes only if they roll doubles, roll appropriately on the supplemental die, or draw an appropriate event card. The first player to complete a pre-determined number of laps or circuits of the race track is declared the winner.

Abstract: A game is provided in which a horse race is simulated. The game layout includes a contiguous lane divided into a plurality of spaces, each of which is designated with a particular task or event. A unique space, designated the Winner's Circle, is located at or near the center of the board and is connected to the contiguous lane by at least one space, designated the Stretch. A player's token moves around the board a number of spaces within the lane according to the outcome of a random number generator. A player landing on a space will take one of a series of action determined by the designation of the space on which his or her token lands. Three sets of spaces, designated WIN, PLACE or SHOW, direct the player to answer a horse racing trivia question selected at random by another player. If the player answers correctly, he or she is awarded a pari-mutual ticket, which is used to place a wager on a simulated horse race. Simulated horse races are run whenever a player lands on a space designated for a race.

Abstract: A system and methods are provided in which a certain level of the chance aspect of a game or other application is removed and a certain level of a skill aspect is added. This may be accomplished by using an indicator to establish a predetermined number of move numbers for one or more players in the game. For example, the indicator may be used to determine a first group of move numbers for a first player and a second group of move numbers for a second player. The players use the pre-established move numbers to advance according to the rules of the game. Depending on the particular embodiment, the move numbers within a group may be sequenced or non-sequenced. Move numbers may be replaced at each player's turn or when all or a subset of the move numbers of a group are used. Move numbers may be established by any type of indicator such as dice, dominos, or a random number generator. In some embodiments, move numbers may be traded in.

Abstract: A racing game permits two or more players to compete by taking turns incrementally moving their game pieces around a race track comprising a plurality of discrete track positions. Each track position corresponds to a game command or to a race vehicle. Landing on a game command requires the player to perform that command, which may have bonus or penalty effect, depending on the particulars of the command. Landing on a race vehicle provides the player to purchase the vehicle for a defined purchase price, unless another player already owns the vehicle. If the vehicle is owned by another player, the player that lands on that position must pay a vehicle fee to the owner. Becoming race-qualified by purchasing a complete team of race vehicles is an overriding game play goal. Race qualified players are permitted to race for game points and game money, and may engage in a series of races reminiscent of real-world racing series, such as NASCAR, INDY RACING LEAGUE, or FORMULA 1.

Abstract: An approach to realistically schematizing professional team sports embodied as board games, and particularly a preferred embodiment schematizing American football, baseball and basketball, as well as soccer, ice hockey and golf. One key to the realistic play of the game is the On-The-Roll™ (“OTR”) mechanism where, once play begins, real time play continues, generally against a clock, where both teams, generally, continue to roll dice continuing sub-play actions or elements, until a play is completed, as by a touchdown, tackle, or otherwise. Other games employ a one-player OTR mechanism for processes such as putting or hazard escape in golf. An additional essential element is a series of rules and charts, based on statistical compilation of many actual professional games, that map various combinations of offensive and defensive strategy options and dice rolls onto realistic game situations and the progression among them.
