Abstract: The invention relates to a holder comprising a frame fitted with compressible elements to provide a unique side holding force to releasably retain a note pad of the removable, self-stick variety. The side holding force is proportional to the total thickness of the material being held and allows access to the full face of the note pad surface. The side holding force and the additional benefits of material protection and widespread mountability, provides the user with access to the note pad wherever and whenever required.

Abstract: A business card assembly suitable for use in application with a business catalog or brochure is provided. The card assembly includes a pair of business cards connected along a common edge which defines a perforated score-line. The underside of each of the cards is provided with an adhesive backing which may be selectively removed in order to expose an adhesive surface along the underside of the cards. As a result, each of the cards may be selectively adhered to a display surface, such as a catalog or brochure, or may be left intact with the backing to be used as a conventional business card.

Abstract: A holder for a looseleaf pad that is adapted to be mounted to a computer monitor or similar device. The holder may be mounted to either the left or right vertical side of the monitor or to a horizontal surface such as the monitor top. The holder has an L-bracket having a horizontal arm and a vertical arm that may be attached to either end of the horizontal arm depending on whether the user desires to mount the device on the left or right side of the monitor.

Abstract: The system disclosed herein includes a pair of polymeric elongated edge-binding strips, each of which includes upstanding staple-like members extending from the strip adjacent the center and the ends thereof. Staple deforming depressions are positioned adjacent each staple-like member. In use a pair of edge-binding strips are positioned opposite each other and are used to bind a series of stacked sheets. In such a case, the strips are arranged to face other with staples from one strip aligned with depressions and another strip and vice versa.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for binding sheaves of papers into covers such as to form booklets, each booklet comprising a cover made up of two cover sheets, a spine therebetween, and a binding agent attached to the inside of the spine, as well as a sheaf of papers inserted in the cover, one side edge of the sheaf being connected to the inside of the spine. The binding takes place by means of the binding agent being activated by an activation device such that the edge of the sheaf of papers will be connected to the inside of the spine via the binding agent. Each cover acts on a sensing means, which senses the presence or non-presence of indication means connected to the cover and which actuates means for influencing the further course of the method. The invention also relates to a cover provided with indication means sensed in the above described manner.

The device is a ring binder in which a time piece is mounted for easily viewing the time display. A pocket is provided on the front cover of the device for receiving and easily changing opaque and transparent imprinted sheets to alter appearance, while exposing the time display.

Abstract: A portable directory and note pad tray with several features. A first feature is a directory with a cover movable between open and closed positions that activates a light bulb circuit for lighting the directory cards when the cover is opened and deactivates the circuit for turning out the light bulb when the cover is closed. A second feature is a novel slide track, and slide arm structure by which the directory and tray are mountable to and de-mountable from a desired surface to present an optimum mounting angle for that surface. A third feature is a note pad tray with a novel base that includes a first finger gap in one of the tray's upstanding walls to allow individual sheets of a note pad to be easily removed from the tray, and a pencil recess defined in the tray with a magnetically attachable pencil that cooperates with a second finger gap in one of the tray's walls to allow easy removal of the pencil.

Transparent cover sheets are depressed into the aperture and heat-sealed together along a relatively narrow track adjacent the edge of the panel aperture. A bubble is defined by an air pocket formed interiorly of the sealing boundary.

Information can be written on the front surfaces of the sheets, and the individual written on sheets can be adhered to a planar surface in side by side relationship with edge portions of up to six adjacent sheets in contact to represent relationships between the information on the sheets.

Abstract: A pocket carrier is formed from a soft flexible material and features pockets for carrying and storing pencils or miscellaneous items. The carrier releasably attaches to a book via two elastic cords which separately engage each book cover by passing along the inside face of each cover and next to the pages such that the carrier rests on the book's spine and the pockets face outward, away from the book.

Abstract: This invention relates to an inflatable intelligence album including an inflatable ring formed with a check valve through which air may be blown therein to expand the inflating ring thereby enabling the inflatable ring to float on water surface and a plurality of leaves each of them completely sealed by a plastic bag with a sheet of sponge therein, whereby the children may play and read the album even in a bath tub.

Abstract: A writing pad containing a stack of horizontally aligned sheets, each of which is cut to the same size and shape. Initially, the sheets are stacked so that the corner edges of the stack are perpendicularly aligned with the top and bottom sheets. Preferably, the sheets in the stack are assembled in sets wherein each set is provided with a specific border color or colors which differ from the color or colors used in the other sets. The sheets are then fanned or swirled uniformly as to form helical flutes extending between the top and bottom sheet of the stack. An adhesive is applied to one side face of the stack to hold the stack in a swirled configuration. The top and bottom surfaces of each sheet are provided with a printed border that frames the writing area. By varying the colors printed on the different sets, a wide variety of visual effects can be obtained.

Abstract: An admission ticket is designed to increase both the betting interest and attendance by the public at a parimutuel event such as a horse race. The ticket includes a pass stub used to gain entry to the parimutuel event and a wagering stub which may be exchanged for a bet at the parimutuel event. Preferably, the pass stub and wagering stub are printed on a single piece of paperboard material and are separated by a perforation line. The wagering stub includes a concealed wager and a concealed means for limiting the use of the wager by a patron at the parimutuel event. The method of the invention includes a step of printing an admission ticket to a parimutuel event with a wager being awarded to a patron and a means for limiting the use of the wager by the patron.

Abstract: A blanket for covering the printed document comprising an elongated sheet of flexible transparent material having a vertical height substantially equal to the vertical height of the document which is covered and a horizontal length substantially equal to the horizontal width of the document to be covered, the blanket having vertical pouches at the opposite horizontal ends thereof and adapted to be positioned adjacent to the vertical side edges of the document to be covered, the pouches being filled with a material constituting weights.

Abstract: A binder pouch is provided for use in conjunction with a binder or portfolio. The binder pouch includes a deformable storage unit having a top with separable first and second panels and a zipper, and a sidewall. The binder pouch also includes a strap fabricated at least in part from an elastomeric material. Preferably, the first and second panels are of a first color or design, the sidewall is of a second color or design and the strap is of yet a third color or design. The storage unit has a bottom surface preferably comprised of a portion of the strap. The sidewall is fixedly secured to the strap about the entire periphery of the sidewall. The storage unit is of a generally rectangular shape and is formed by a plurality of flaps on the top and sidewall which are secured to one another by stitches. The periphery of the top is less than the periphery of the sidewall, at the point where the sidewall is fixedly secured to the strap.

Abstract: A binder apparatus for use in binding together sheets of paper, each correspondingly pre-apertured with multiple openings along a margin includes a three panel one piece cover with a front and rear cover connected by a smaller cover spine portion with parallel scores defining respectively pivotal connections between each of the covers and the spine portions. A plastic ring-type binder includes a spine having an inner concave surface and an outer convex surface and parallel side portions, one side portion having multiple closely spaced flexible rings extending therefrom each with a single free end portion. One or more elongated adhesive bead member extends along the plastic spine convex surface and positioned adjacent the scores and the spine end portions thereof, bonding the spine to the cover set at the cover spine portion thereof.

Abstract: A passbook is provided that substantially prevents alteration or counterfeiting. The passbook is formed from a plurality of sheets of flexible material that are bound to one another at selected locations thereon by welding to define a substantially integral stub. The free edges of the welded pages are then folded back over the welded stub such that the stub is disposed interiorly. The welded stub is difficult to disassemble and reassemble without providing some indication of tampering. Furthermore, the disposition of the welded stub enables the passbook to be laid flat without creating stresses on the stub that could result in separation or delamination.

The cover of the book is formed by a unitary sheet of flexible material having a spine section intermediate and intergral with the front and back cover sections. The front section of the cover is secured to the first page of the book block while the back section of the cover is secured to the last page of the book block thereby leaving the spine section of the cover unattached from the book block and spaced apart therefrom. Upon opening the book to a page, the spine of the book block bends in a concave manner and the segments along the spinal edge of the opened page which are devoid of adhesive, bow or wedge outward over the opposite page preventing the pages from turning and maintaining the book in a flat position.

Some caps are hinged to one end of the mounting base and snap down over the other end. Writing on the write-on mounting base or on an inserted card can be viewed through the transparent covering.

The roadways on the various landscapes are aligned with the roadway sections on the projections so that a toy vehicle can be driven onto the roadway sections provided by the projections prior to the turning of the pages and subsequently driven off the roadway sections provided by the projections after the pages are turned.
