The gas barrier member includes a tubular portion and a flanged portion provided on a peripheral side of the tubular portion, which extends beyond an opening of the fuel tank. The gas barrier member is made of a liquid crystal polymer, aromatic polyamide, a blended polymer of an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer and high-density polyethylene, a blended polymer of polyamide and polyethylene, a blended polymer of polyamide and high-density polyethylene.

    Abstract: A ducted flexible entry boot assembly provides a fluid-tight fitting between a wall of a fluid containment region and a conduit passing through the wall. The ducted flexible entry boot assembly comprises a seal member adapted to be disposed within the containment region, the seal member having a substantially planar seal portion and an integral hollow support sleeve concentric with the seal portion and adapted to extend axially into the containment region. The support sleeve has an outer surface and an inner, conduit receiving surface, and has a degree of flexibility relative to the seal portion sufficient to allow for the insertion of the conduit at angles equal to or other than an angle normal to the fluid containment wall while maintaining a fluid-tight environment. A mechanism is provided for rigidifying the seal portion of the seal member. The hollow support sleeve is releasably attached to the conduit.

    Abstract: A pipe coupling for transverse connection of a drainpipe to a concrete sewer pipe of larger relative diameter. The coupling has a hollow, longitudinally extending cylindrical body with first and second ends and interior and exterior surfaces. The body has an external locating shoulder, on the exterior surface, integral with the body and extending outwardly therefrom. The external locating shoulder limits penetration of the coupling in an opening in a sidewall of the concrete pipe. The body also has an internal groove on the interior surface, located at a same longitudinal spacing as the external locating shoulder. The internal groove receives an internal sealing ring for creating a seal between the drainpipe and the body when the drainpipe is inserted.

The drain connection includes a housing having an elongated shaft portion received in the first portion of the bore. An interconnect flange is connected at a first end of the shaft portion and a passage extends longitudinally through the shaft portion. An interconnect tube is received in the passage of the housing. The interconnect tube includes a sealing flange connected to seal against the first end of the shaft portion of the housing. A bore sealing portion is connected to extend at least partially through the second portion of the bore. A gasket is disposed between the sealing flange and the housing. A resilient seal is carried by the bore sealing portion of the interconnect tube within the second portion of the bore of the pressure vessel.

    Abstract: A collar for connecting a duct to a wall having a hole therein bounded by an edge having a predetermined thickness. The collar is constructed from a sheet of material having top, bottom, left and right edges, the sheet forming a tubular structure in which the left and right edges overlap. The sheet includes a groove for engaging the edge of the hole. The sheet also includes first and second detents spaced apart thereon. The overlap of the left and right edges at the top edge changes when the spacing between the first and second detents is changed. The collar also includes a first fastener for fixing the overlap of the left and right edges at the top edge when the edge of the hole is engaged in the groove and a second fastener for fixing the overlap of the left and right edges at the bottom edge. In the preferred embodiment of the present invention, the groove includes a layer of a sealing material for forming a seal between the sheet of material and the edge of the hole.

    Abstract: A pressure relief device mounts to heat exchange coils having fluid flowing therethrough. A base has an orifice formed therethrough extending through an orifice in the coil to the interior of the coil. A cover attaches to the base with bolts or other attachment means. A diaphragm strip inserts between the cover and the base to close off the orifice in the base. An o-ring or other gasket may also be utilized to seal the structure. When a rupture through the diaphragm occurs due to pressure buildup, the diaphragm strip may be advanced to reclose the orifice.
